The Gallery prints were one of a kind, 1/1...not 1/300.

hhm..on the card pinned to the wall of each respective print at 1988..or maybe on the borders of the prints themselves..was/is..1/1..indicating a special something. LT had some input on the subject..I think she said that they were 1st pulls..first pull of the squeegee over the screens? That probably means more to an art print aficionado, than a Lost Fan. The Darlton signatures were more important than the 1/1,,to me.

Anybody remember the actor Wallace Berry (spl?)..he played Capt'n Long John Silver in the very olde Treasure Island series or was it a movie..Disney I think..anyway..the lovable scallywag was his specialty..yea a rough pirate with a heart of gold type,,The Polar Bear reminds me very much of Wallace Berry's Long John Silver.

Time went by too fast KI, to get to know everyone well. What little time I shared with your wife, KI, was chock full of fun tho. " Charlette" was intense!

Yeah -- any of us coul have come up with a better one. The Star Wars/LOST pic would have been a better concept.

I can't decide if I should go ahead and get this artist release of The Numbers with the doodle at the bottom...

..save your $$$ and come to Hawaii OB...if you already have The Numbers.

Thanks for stopping by, Tim. You can never underestimate us LOST fans!

DO you guys really not get the Shawarma shirt? It is a type of falafel meal. And it sounds and looks like Dharma. So hence the shirt.

ObFuSc8 said...

Got that John-Paul, it just wasn't that funny. Same with the Star Trek tee, I have a thinkgeek one with rock paper scissors lizard spock that I find funnier.

Evening/Morning All - A new year.... a new chance at posters. And an hour to decide if you wanted it & to pay for it... when's the last time that happened with a Lost poster. ;) Was lucky enough to pick up the very limited edition of The Numbers.

Call it fate, but way back when we actually had time to decide if we wanted a poster, I decided that The Numbers print I bought would be used for a children's charity that had asked help in procuring auction items. This being the 1st print released by DCCAAPB and something that screamed Lost with a very recognizable and centric character such as Hurley was hopefully bound to catch the attention of those attending the event.

Here's where fate comes into play, another charity heard what I was doing last week and asked if there was something that I could do for them. Talk about an opportunity & perfect timing with Tim releasing his posters. I am so lucky to have been able to pick another one up.

So, over the next few months I'll be putting together a Lost auction package for each of the events. So far: two Hurley prints, two Ben Linus bobbleheads and if I can find 'em 2 boxes of Polar Bear cookies, plus other items that should appeal to a Lost fan. May even throw in Thorsten's I Once Was Lost, But Now Am Found (if I could only get him to autograph it). :)

As you're all creative bunch, I'd love to hear your thoughts on what I can do to put together something that will "wow" the attendees and have them open their wallets.

Sorry for the long post, but as we've shared so many interesting experiences together, I felt what the heck... why not as I'm one happy camper tonight!

I may donate something JPL. I will see if I can part with a print. When is this?

@Timothy - I just wanted to thank you for giving me the chance to get "Hurley's Curse"! I can't wait to see the Mr. Cluck doodle! :-)

Y'all are awesome!!!

(That's Texas speak for "He's awesome!")

Hey charter,

Posted by the guy (mcnail) who runs www.postersandtoys.com on the EB forum a few hours ago.

All he wrote was "Ken's will be available through me later this week."

@ Tim

Glad to see you poppin' in.

@ Kharma

I'm getting the Kleisman print from the Nakatomi Invitational (HUUGE Sub-Pop fan) along with this Mike Kay print involving penguins for the family. There is also a cool Castle Greyskull print for the upcomming G1988 He-Man show on the 8th - maybe I'll get that too.

The Kharma Initiative said...

@milkcan, good choices. I can see why you're trying to save up! Go for the Greyskull.

MilkcanRocks said...

Greyskull is low on the poster totem pole. More of a Skull Mountain/Skeletor fan. But if I have extra cash, then I'm getting the Greyskull. Stress IF.

OMG Mitch said...

Hey guys, Mitch from Postersandtoys.com here. I'll be posting the date/time for Ken Taylor's Smoke Monster on OMGPosters.com in the morning. Cheers.
