Results Available 245

The site has been updated, it looks like Hans could not wait until December 15th.

Thanks to Maven and Codysmom for letting us know the site was updating.

The dossier contains a job assignment and a certificate of completion along with the results from each test.

There has also been another email to tell us that the Dharma Initiative revival is no more, the financial crisis has hit and there will be no more DI, the email is quite odd in style and seems to have an underlying message. Click here to read it
Thanks to T8RO for letting us know about the email.

Test 6 Email - Recruit Evaluation Panel 153

Hans Van Eeghen has sent a notification about test 6 being available. Read the email contents here

Interestingly the email says that assessment data is being analysed in order to determine which recruits may have exploited confidential information. Recruits found to have benefited illegally from this material will be dealt with appropriately by the Dharma Initiative's Recruit Evaluation Panel.

The email also says the following DharmaWantsYou users have been promoted to instructor status : Bboepple, DanyWho, Ellenh, Iseibert, Lost4evr, Mattabramson, Orangemoonbeam, Sawyer78, Wrinkledogs

*Thanks to Maven for notifying us of the email's arrival.

Test 5 Email - The end .....? then say Hi to Hans 155

As usual a day after the test is published, Hans has sent an e-mail telling us about test 5, he says that he has "devised a number of particularly challenging questions "

The email also tells us that the recruitment programme will end at 12:00pm (PDT) on October 7th.

(view the email here)

There is a hidden message in the source code for the email on the website version :-

The number in the message is a phone number in the US 1-323-7438573, when you ring it you get through to Hans Van Eeghen's voicemail and you can leave a message for him. Listen to Zort70 leaving a voice mail for Hans below.

Test 4 Email - Thinking Outside the Octagon 283

Hans Van Eeghen has sent us another e-mail (view it here) telling us to go on over to DWY and take Test 4. There does not seem to be any hidden messages in the email source, but it does talk about how some of us have enthusiastically embraced the "Recruit Created Assessments" (RCA). It also says that some of us will be eligible for promotion to the position of "Instructor" in the recruitment programme.

*UPDATE: The Lost ARGers quizzes have been updated as of 9/14. You can view them in THIS POST.
Also, check out the latest poll and add which group you're in.
At Dark UFO they have a list of the questions from Test 4 with answers. You can view it HERE.

*Thanks to maven for e-mailing about the email

Test 4: Tangential Judgment Analysis 131

Hans Van Eegen has been busy e-mailing to tell us to go take test 4 at DWY. You can view the mail here. Earlier today at that link, when trying to view the source code, a log in box would pop up and access was denied. As of now though, you can view the source and no log-in pops up.

Test 4 is another multiple choice quiz, and there is a cheat this time.

Click here to read test 4’s cheat.
The Test 4 cheat seems to be on question 10, if you type Mittelwerk the answer is revealed.
There are also new group placements which are all Titans.

*Thanks to takesavillage for e-mailing about the update, and to Zort70, for e-mailing the cheat, screenshots, and being awesome in general!

Test 3 Email 55

Hans Van Eeghen has finally graced us with an e-mail (view it HERE) reminding us to go on over to DWY and take Test 3. It doesn't seem to contain anything of note in the source code, but it does commend our efforts, and mentions that Dharama is compiling Volunteer Assessment Dossiers for release at the end of the program. If you haven't taken Test 3 yet, give it a go, and while your at it vote in our poll in the previous post. Let us know which group you've been assigned to.

*Thanks to Zort70 and KingLost for Emailing.

Dharma Wants You: Getting Ready For 8/15? 62

The Dharma Wants You security upgrades seem to be complete, and the logged-in screen no longer shows the "Currently Conducting Security Upgrade" message. No other changes have been detected, but it looks like we are getting closer.

Also, Hans Van Eeghan has dispatched a new Dharma Wants You email, to Comic-Con attendees only, thanking them for their participation. Hans mentions the upcoming tests, and the mission of the Dharma Initiative: to continue its unique scientific and social contribution to the future of humankind.

Click here to read the full email text...
ATTENTION ALL COMIC-CON RECRUITS

On behalf of the Dharma Initiative I would like to thank you for your participation in our recent recruiting drive at Comic-Con 2008.

Despite a somewhat disappointing start, this event proved to be an extremely successful endeavour that introduced the Dharma Initiative to a fresh and talented cohort of volunteer applicants.

Early eligibility test results at Comic-Con did not live up to expectations but following my frank and fair comments at a sponsored panel discussion, there was a remarkable improvement in results. This pleasing display of courage and determination is, in part, the reason for this correspondence.

I would like to commend the efforts of all recruits at Comic-Con and feel extremely confident in forecasting that the upcoming stage of the testing process will be a great success.

The Dharma Initiative is returning to continue its unique scientific and social contribution to the future of humankind.

We look forward to you joining us.

Namaste,
Hans Van Eeghen
Head of Recruiting
The Dharma Initiative

There is no hidden message in the source code of the email, so it looks like the Black Swan may have had its wings clipped, at least temporarily. Hopefully this means that testing will begin soon. Even the Fringe ARG has been moving faster than this, and it's not even a real ARG.

Maybe they have been waiting for 8/15? Until then, we'll keep waiting...

Dharma Wants You: Security Breach Email 36

Hans Van Eeghan has dispatched a new Dharma Wants You email explaining the "security breach" that happened at Comic-con, and the delay for launching the Volunteer Assessment tests. It appears Dan Bronson's stunt has caused a security lock down.

Click here to read the full email text...
ATTENTION ALL RECRUITS
RE: SECURITY BREACH AT COMIC-CON 2008

As many of you may be aware there have been a number of security breaches in recent days related to the nature of the Dharma Initiative's latest research.

Apart from the leak of a sensitive internal communication there was also the unauthorized release of confidential video documentation during a sponsored panel discussion with the makers of the TV show "LOST" at Comic-Con 2008 in San Diego. Consequently, the person responsible for this breach, a promising recruit by the name of Dan Bronson, has been expelled from the volunteer program and had his Dharma membership permanently revoked. Furthermore, the Dharma Initiative has withdrawn their sponsorship from "LOST".

The Dharma Initiative must stress that the video material leaked at Comic-Con 2008 was viewed entirely out of context. Furthermore, the way in which the material was presented utterly distorted its significance and credibility as scientific data.

The Dharma Initiative is extremely disappointed with this outcome and has ordered a security audit of all departments. As part of this audit the DharmaWantsYou recruiting website will undergo a security upgrade in the next few days.

Upon completion of this upgrade a date will be announced for the official commencement of Volunteer Assessments.

All recruits are reminded that the unauthorized release of confidential information pertaining to the details of your activities within the Dharma Initiative will result in instant dismissal from the volunteer program.

Namaste.
Hans Van Eeghen
Head of Recruiting
The Dharma Initiative

The email is slightly different from the email that was leaked a few days ago. The second sentence was changed from:
This included the unauthorized release of sensitive video documentation during a sponsored panel discussion with the makers of the TV show "LOST" at Comic-Con 2008 in San Diego.
to
Apart from the leak of a sensitive internal communication there was also the unauthorized release of confidential video documentation during a sponsored panel discussion with the makers of the TV show "LOST" at Comic-Con 2008 in San Diego.
If you view the source code of the email, another message has been left:
<!-- Good luck my old friend Hans -->
Could this be from Dan Bronson (aka Ruckus Guy? aka Black Swan?) despite his expulsion from The Dharma Initiative, or does Hans have other enemies working against him?

*Thanks Meatball who first mentioned this message in the comments.

Once again, it appears RuckusGuy has added a message in the source code:
<!-- Banks Claw -->
<!-- DOUBLEYOUDOUBLEYOUDOUBLEYOUDOTyoutubeDOTcomFORWARDSLASHwatchQUESTIONMARKvEQUALScW6xkv9vwos -->
Banks Claw is probably an anagram for Black Swan (RuckusGuy's second alias?)

The second line translates to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cW6xkv9vwos (read it out loud), where you can watch the Dharma Initiative Bluetooth Booth Hack.

The YouTube page has this message from RuckusGuy:
Here it is, told you I'd get it!

Once again, there is a little something extra hidden in the source code of the email - this time a message from someone named RuckusGuy.
<!--
…If you’re reading this, wanna hear something cool?
I’ve got intel about his little “recruitment drive.”
They’re doing some kind’ve personality/IQ testing or something down in SD for ComicCon.
Buddy of mine works down there and has the approvals for their “booth,” he says once you go in no one knows what happens inside and you need an appointment to get in. He also said to make sure you’ve got your Bluetooth on and visible – he’s rigged up a little something.
-->

<!--
The whole thing sounds like elitist B.S., doesn’t it?
Well, I’m getting in that booth and taking the test.
As many times as I have to before I “pass” (whatever that means?)
And then…
If I can?
I’m gonna tape it so EVERYONE can see what these idiots are up to.
Should be fun, right?
See ya in SD. RuckusGuy OUT.
-->
It looks likes trouble is already brewing for Mr. Van Eeghen.

* Thanks to Ange for emailing me about this!
