Paul Sheer Invites Us To An Art Show 244

The hub page has been updated with not so much a clue, but an invite to a Gallery1988 event that will show all 16 paintings in one place. Paul has recorded another video where he says he is the one sending out all the poster tubes. The fact that we have only seen 15 so far may mean that the 16th painting will be either unveiled at the show or unveiled next week ready for the show. It also looks like there will be other Lost inspired art at the event.

Lost Season 5 Extras: The H Bomb - Making up for LOST Time 14

Buena Vista Home Entertainment has sent over a new video from LOST: The Complete Fifth Season. In the clip titled "The H Bomb - Making up for LOST Time", Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof comment on the idea of changing the future.

Another YouTube video has been found with the title "And with this fire I purify", in it the words "sedm" and "dva" are repeated, and these are Czech words for Seven and Two.

There is a website out there called www.27project.org that epithetalpha has also tweeted about "This site means a lot to me: http://www.27project.org/" but it has no obvious links to Lost or these new "clues" that have been appearing.

Another possible link to investigate around EpithetAlpha and one of Simeon Hobbes' latest tweets - "May the light of Jacob be with you all this day, as we celebrate musical Aegocerus." - A search on Aegocerus shows that it is an epithet of Pan, who is a character from Greek mythology.



The whole thing is increasingly being labelled as a fan based project with no official connections to Lost, but it does seem well worked out anyway.

Test 7: Integrity, Honor, and Honesty Assessment 174

Test 7 is The Integrity, Honor, and Honesty Assessment. Hans, in his latest video, is happy to tell us that we have already completed this most challenging exam. He goes on to explain the who and why of Black Swan. I don't want to spoil it here, so check out the video yourself, or head over to Dharmawantsyou.com. It's not good news for those who cheated though. Hans has a lot of raw data to look over and our results are going to the Dharma Initiative Recruiting Evaluation Panel for review to determine our rolls in the Dharma Initiative's current project. Results will be released AFTER DECEMBER 15th.

There are two groups after Test 7 (as of 11:15 EST); Black Swan and White Swan. CodysMom reports that her "non-cheater" account is in the White Swan group.

Test 5: Numeric Projection Evaluation and a Security Breach 147

A new video announcement with the subject, Security Breach appears on the home page of DWY. In it Hans seems very irritated. He wants to drive home the gravity of his message. He's upset that we've been exposed to cheat codes, and they are investigating the situation. He feels these are per Black Swan and have come from within the Dharma Initative. He urges all recruits to avoid contact with the material Black Swan is releasing. During the video there is a small blinking square in the bottom right hand corner which is Morse code (click below for the translation).

Test 5 is called Numeric Projection Evaluation. In it we need to complete 10 number sequences within 5 minutes. You can skip through if you become stuck but will get a zero for that question.

Sayid'sGirl has told us that someone over at Unifiction has translated the Morse code it gives us a cryptic clue to the cheat :

There appear to be two types of sequence, ordinary numerical ones which use standard mathematics.

There are also a sequence, seemingly always in question 7, that seems impossible. This is a Conway Sequence like 31 1311 111321 - you have to say what you see in these sequences -

31 = one 3 and one one = 1311

111321 = Three 1, one three, one two and one one = 31131211

New Video and Quiz Creator 186

This morning there's a new video from Hans Van Eegen. In it he tells us that he's developed an opportunity for us to create our own multiple choice exams to challenge our colleagues. By doing this we can earn 50 extra Dharma points per registered user who takes our test, and we'll contribute to our overall results. Also, if our test is of a high enough quality they will consider using it in the recruitment program. Our participation in the final weeks will have a significant influence on our final results. The video prompts us to go to Our Progress page to view details about how to create our own tests. The page also cautions us to submit our tests by September 17th.

Test 3: Dexterity and Attentiveness Evaluation 197

Test 3 is up, as well as a Video Announcement from Hans Van Eeghen outlining his pleasure with the testing results thus far. In it he throws out phrases like, "We are not yet half way through", "extremely encouraging", and "stunning" when discussing the progress we've made so far. Also he cautions us to, "Avoid contact with any insights distributed by this Black Swan." The video also contains several glitches and disturbances throughout.



The Dexterity and Attentiveness Evaluation test involves moving a Dharma logo around the screen, while trying to avoid bouncing balls. The longer it goes, the faster the balls move, making it very hard to get a perfect score of 100. Unless of course, you take the help of the Black Swan

Hidden in the HVE video are the numbers and letters 40 60 B P M.

The "cheat" for test 3 seems to be related to the "40/60 BPM" that is part of the video corruption. In music, this speed is known as Lento. When the test has started, if you type the word lento, the blobs slow down. You can type it as many times as you want until the timer gets to 100.

Another way to cheat is more likely a glitch in Flash, than an actual cheat. Once the game starts, if you right-click the screen, the Flash menu will come up. Then you can left click anywhere else on the screen, and the Dharma logo will instantly move to that spot. While this arguably doesn't make the game any easier to play, if you left-click just outside of the playing field (see below), you Dharma logo can rest safely until the clock runs out.

After taking the test, you will be assigned into one of four groups: Otus, Antaeus, Tityos, or Enceladus - the names of Giants from Greek Mythology.

Lost Videos From Comic-Con 153

Comic Con 2008 Dharma Video (warning explicit language used).

Straight from Tapdawg at Comic Con comes video of today's Lost Q&A panel with a few added surprises. You can watch all four parts at DocArtz.com and audio of the panel can be download or streamed at The Transmission. Part 1 and Part 2 of the video features an appearance from Hans Van Eeghen of Octagon Global Recruiting, who calls the testing results "abysmal" and "truly pathetic". He brings a "few" candidates to the stage that did excel at the tests. Could one of them be RuckusGuy? He encourages people to continue taking the tests Saturday and Sunday and then proceed to dharmawantsyou.com on Monday to register. Also from Tapdawg comes this Dharma video featuring a message from the man formerly known as Dr. Marvin Candle, with a plea to "save" them and "change the past". Could this be our new mission?

Octagon Global Recruiting Commercial 0

During the Lost Season 4 finale - "There's No Place Like Home", a commercial aired for Octagon Global Recruiting (OGR). This organization is looking for applicants for the DHARMA Initiative. Their recruitment drive begins in San Diego July 24th - July 27th, which happens to be the same dates as Comic-Con.

In the video, OGR has a huge list of unpaid positions they are seeking volunteers for. If you look at the first letter of each position, starting from the bottom, it spells DHARMA INITIATIVE.
