Taking a Trip to Jacob's Cabin 159

When it was released this poster took the title for scariest picture, however after the Ben Linus picture it might have some competition. The picture on the DamonCarltonandaPolarBear website doesn't really show the full detail of this print, and there is lots of it in the trees and plants as well as the cabin itself.

Daniel Danger stopped by on the day of the release and told us that he titled the art with the quote presented at the bottom of the picture, so the proper title is -

"And that's why my hand was shaking. Because this is not a man you go and see, this is a man who summons you."

There has been some debate about whether the person depicted in the picture is Ben or Locke. I personally am in the Ben camp, just because of the size and shape of the figure. Whoever it is the picture is not a direct lift from the show, having said that the cabin is a very good representation of what we have seen.

The picture above is from our very own Dennis and it includes some good Lost reading materials, and also illustrates that the post is quite hard to photograph as there are some refelective elements to it.

We also had this image of the poster sent to us by Illix, which has a very eclectic mixture of items holding down the corners.

The two closeups above (click for a larger image) are from Dylansdad, who has also sent this photo of the poster already framed.

And finally some signatures, from Dennis and Levittra -

Poster 12 - First Purchaser Letter 89

We have been sent the first purchaser letter for Poster 12, as you can see from its contents it says "We had a ball...."

This fits in with some of the comments that we have had about Susan Sarandon owning SPiN New York which is a Table Tennis / Social club combination. (I think Stew was the first to mention this after the first clue was posted yesterday)

The person that sent the letter wishes to remain anonymous, but is enjoying collecting Lost Prints and may continue to collect other art prints after this current series is finished.

Looking at the SPiN events list, there is something set up for Thursday as the singles night on Tuesday is cancelled -

"This week Singles Pick-Up Night will be cancelled on Tuesday, but don’t worry because it will be even more crazy than you can possibly imagine on Thursday, just to make it up to you."

Also on Friday there is -

"Every Friday Night SPiN challenges a dozen of the best players in North America to battle it out for Number #1 and the grand prize of $500. Come grab a seat to watch The Dirty Dozen in the most thrilling matches you ever seen, up close and personal."

12th Poster Roundup 427

Well what a day yesterday was, fast sell outs, fake URL's, and another great poster.

First off we have a couple of reports from the reveal from the people that went down to Super7 in San Francisco.

Jo who has her own Lost blog at - jopinionated.blogspot.com went down and reported back, read the details below for a chance to win a T-shirt from the reveal.

"About 20 Bay Area LOST fans braved the drizzling rain to stand in line at the Super7 Store in San Francisco earlier today for the next URL reveal.

Everyone was very friendly and the anticipation was palpable. Once they opened the door at noon, we politely filed in and each picked up custom LOST gelaskins for both a 15.4" laptop and iPod Touch.

The staff at Super7 are huge LOST fans, and seemed to really enjoy the event; they gave us a little gift bag with a Super7 sticker, small notebook and very cool toy inside. After I gave them my card & custom LOST pin, they gave me a very cool tee from a Japanese artist (Gargamel) because it has the letters ARG in it (see photo).

They certainly have a sense of humor, and appreciate the effort and lengths that fans are going to in order to acquire posters and other swag. I would like to give the tee away to someone who wasn't able to join us today, so those who are interested - simply let me know via Twitter (@jopinionated).

It was great to meet all of the dedicated fans in line, and experience part of this off-season LOST adventure. Thank you all for the comments, and for following along here and on Twitter! - Jo"

Take care, and thanks to Zort70, Lottery Ticket and everyone from the LostARGS site!

Next we have Justin -

I made it to Super 7 to have a good time chatting with the clerks and fellow LOST fans (some of whom drove an hour...). Refreshed the URL a zillion times. Went through the process of logging in (I had previously bought Love Triangle). My fatal mistake, I guess, was one mis-entered password. I got all the way to the final purchase button and then blammo! 404 error. Aaaargh!!

Anyway, at least I didn't leave empty-handed... The iPhone skin is cool, the MacBook skin is going up on my wall, and (aside from the nifty swag bag they gave out, with a little notebook and a "Ghost Land" "Blowfish" figurine in a metal box), I spent the $50 I would have spent on the poster on two excellent shirts from Super7. And, perhaps most uniquely, I got a LOST fan button from jopinionated! Thanks for bringing those!

Definitely worth the trip across the Bay.

Upon further reflection: Who knew it was going to take half an hour, and then sell out in, yes, it had to be less than a minute? It was insane; I thought I had a chance, but no.

Of course, I figured in advance that being at the reveal meant giving up a little bit of likelihood of getting a poster. Mainly because I was on my iPhone on 3G, not wireless, which slowed me down a little bit. And, as I mentioned, the password flub. I might have gotten in right before the 404, had I gotten it right the first time.

But (again) it was well worth it, because instead of just not having a poster, I don't have a poster but I have all that other cool stuff and a good experience.

The store staff members were really nice; they personally understood the fanboy/fangirl phenomenon, being fanboys themselves. I did mention to them that I thought it was sort of unfair that TPTB don't open the site up to purchase at the exact moment of the URL reveal (and they actually said they could pass that feedback on to TPTB).

I'll keep trying with little hope of getting one... and in any case it's a decent way to pass the time before LOST comes back...!

Then finally lets leave the final word to Daniel Danger who popped into the comments last night -

Frame 12 Clue 3 - 7 X 7 Miles Big 303

The third clue for the 12th frame is posted :

It seems that San Francisco is only 7x7 Miles Big according to this blog

Eugene has also told us about the 49 Mile Scenic Drive in San Francisco and also the website www.7x7.com

Reanimated has found this quote - "The name is pronounced "seven-by-seven" and is derived from the approximate seven miles square making up the City and County of San Francisco."

Justin has sent a map of the 49 Mile Drive and this section shows that it passes right by the Super 7 store.

Frame 12 Clue 2 - Escaregot, Ghostfighter, & Milton 270

While there is a lot of certainty that the new reveal will be at the Super 7 store in Florida, the new clue is Escaregot, Ghostfighter, & Milton, which are all characters sold by the Super 7 store.

Thanks to MiddayShadows for being the first to tell us about the new clue, and AndySchex for telling us about the figures.

I've just read back through the comments after the new clue was posted and spotted this -

booneboy said...
New to the lostargs, though I have been following for awhile. Just received my Transmission poster yesterday and I couldn't be happier.

I wanted to post that the number of letters in each of the words is 9, 11 and 6. Could mean a 9am reveal on 11/6....

Lottery Ticket has pointed out that Ghostfighter has 12 letters not 11, so the 11/6 idea is probably not correct

Frame 12 Clue 1 - Super 7 365

While I was watching John Barrowman in La Cage Aux Folles, Tyson decided that it was time for a new clue.

From the comments Amy Lynn was the first to tell us about it and to mention super7store.com/ as a potential link given the "Super" clue from the first purchaser letter.

There is also www.super7florida.com/ which has orange and black colours and the person in the first picture on this page of Halloween has what looks like ARG on the shirt. Thanks to LOSTnSC and ReverendMilo for the information.

AF wrote in the comments - Twitter for Super7 Florida (http://twitter.com/super7_florida) says:

"Thank you to everyone who made it out to the Halloween Bash on Saturday! It was a great turnout and noone got lost, this time."

This time? That doesn't seem like a coincidence...

Then DragonManagement has emailed the Super7 store and got this reply -

E-mail from Scott Dias, owner of Super7 in St. Pete:
"And as far as LOST is concerned, I can neither confirm nor deny any S7 involvement at this time. :)
Cheers!
-Scott Dias"

There is another potential link in the 7TV Channel in Australia which has a 7Two channel that has the colours orange and black. (thanks ScottPhillip)

There may also be a little something in the Widmore Publishing Board for the previous reveal, but more on that later.

Dear Ronie Midfew 133

Dear Ronie Midfew,

Please find enclosed a collection of your correspondence starting from your most recent letter which seems to contain the word "Super" as a clue to the next poster reveal. We have also tried to point out any mistakes you may have made in your correspondence.

Incidentally, you always end your letters "Best and thank you", I wonder where all your wishes have gone ?

If you wish to contact us to discuss, please write to us at the usual address.

Kind Regards
