Tyler Stout LOST Poster Sale Delayed 487

I'm afraid we LOST fans seem to have broken a small part of the internet, please see the information below -

Hello,

So, due to increased demand and web traffic, i will no longer be selling stuff on tstout.com. THE SALE ON MY SITE (which is crashed) IS CANCELED. New sale instructions to follow. normally i hate changing plans in mid-sale, but i don't see tstout.com not being crashed for hours and hours to come, and i don't want you wasting more of your time refreshing it.

instead, i will relay sale information via this mailing list. So, now would be the time to unsubscribe (see bottom of this email, click SafeUnsubscribe and that's it, no more emails from me). if you're just interested in getting an email from me once every so often, this is not the mailing list to be on. it is only for those interested in getting constant sale instructions from me. during a sale week you may get up to 3 or 4. i hate doing it, but i can't keep up with the site crashings and emails from frustrated customers.

so, fair warning. i won't hold it against you if you unsubscribe. otherwise i'll assume you like getting several emails from me in a short span of time. no need to email and say 'keep me on your mailing list', just don't unsubscribe and you'll stay on it.

*i know these emails are lengthy and convoluted, the simple fact is i am just not that great at these poster sales. i like making posters, i'm just not great at selling them. i get a ton of email and try to answer everyone's questions, which is also why i pack all this info into emails, since i figure if i don't, people will ask them. thanks for your understanding.

Meet Ben Linus 80

After the light and fluffy appearance of the Barracks poster we come to Ben Linus which is claiming it's place on the scariest poster roster. On initial viewing when it was revealed I did think that it was quite rough and childlike.

However now I've had some time to look at it and see some of the close up pictures that have been sent in, I realised that the poster has a lot of depth and hidden beauty along with a certain amount of menace. Plus there are hidden Dharma symbols so what's not to love !

We saw quite soon after the reveal that the picture on the DamonCarltonandaPolarBear.com web pages was, as has been with a lot of the posters, quite flat in terms of colour reproduction and also there was no hint at the hidden symbols.

Poster 14 First Purchaser 89

We have been sent the first purchaser letter for Poster 14, Joe Dale has done it for the second time.



It again contains the number 44, and also says "...because right after the Holiday - I'm sure everyone will be grilling us for new clues."

Which reminds me, Happy Thanksgiving to all that are celebrating.

Kiwilostie pointed out that we have a missing word "....and one the sheets in your pamphlet..." - missing "of"

The 14th Poster Roundup 207

So you want a poster of Ben ? Well Todd Slater delivered and some of us were lucky enough to purchase one.

First off A big thanks to Ryan Ozawa from the Transmission Podcast for being the first to go down and find the URL, we posted lots of pictures yesterday in the As It Happens post. Click on the image below to go to the excellent Transmission Podcast site.

But wait that wasn't all from yesterdays reveal, in case you missed it Clay went down to the Abe Lee Realty later in the day and took a couple of video's.



There is another video available on Clay's own blog called "Ben's Frozen Donkey Wheel", it covers the contents of the folder that was given away. Clay also managed to obtain another copy of the brochure and will offer it in a random selection process at some point.

Talking of the brochure, Justin posted in the comments that Gallery 1988 had updated their blog with the following :

"This is the 14th print, of an eventual set of 16, and was revealed at Abe Lee Realty in Honolulu, Hawaii. Followers of the campaign in Hawaii who went to Abe Lee Reality spotted a brochure in the office that didn't quite fit in. A limited edition Ajiri Airline Safety and Travel Brochure, created by graphic designer Adam Campbell, was available for free. And once they looked closely, the back of the business card stapled to the packet gave them the new website address."

Adam has created some Vintage style Dharma ads in the past and Adam's Official Site is hotmeteor.com

(I'm not sure if the misspelling of Ajira is another clue or not !)

Now that isn't all, to add to the mystery on the brochure was a business card for Donald F Presario - Tourism Package Coordinator.

There was also a barcode on the back of the brochure, ObFuSc8 has told us that these numbers are an ISBN code and they relate to this book :

The 14th poster is revealed as -



It is by an artist called Todd Slater and is entitled Ben Linus.

The URL is nosuchthingascurses.com and was revealed on an Ajira Airways pamphlet at Abe Lee Realty, in Honolulu.

Frame 14 - Kapiolani Blvd. Honolulu 182

A fourth clue is posted for the 14th frame :


Amy Lynn mentioned that this street has been used in the filming of Lost, in the background of some driving shots. Also the Hawaii Convention Center, which is just next to the road was also used in filming.

Frame 14 - Eyeball Eater In Escrow 271

Two new clues, first off was the fairly gruesome sounding Eyeball Eater, and then later on the In Escrow clue as well.



Eyeball eater could refer to the practice of eating Eyeballs after fishing trips. jdcurtis provided this link to some articles mentioning this practice.

Lottery Ticket also mentioned this article about KEREOPA TE RAU who was a Maori warrior - He was also nicknamed 'Kai whatu', "the eye ball eater"

The First Purchaser says HI 125

Joe Dale has sent in the first purchaser letter for the 13th poster :



There are lots of potential meanings in the letter, but all seem to be pointing towards Hawaii, especially as the capital letters HI are the abbreviation for Hawaii

Frame 14 Clue 1 - Pineapple 235

After a few days of radio silence we have our first clue for Frame 14.



The most popular theory so far is that there is a link to Hawaii in this clue.

There is also an interesting link with Damon Lindelof, where he says at the end of the Star Trek DVD comentary that the Sequel will be called Pineapple. There is a Star Trek Exhibition in Hollywood at the moment.
