Hiroki Bags One From Ron herman 380

A few days after it was planned Hiroki has his bag at the Ron Herman store in Tokyo.

We have also had this message from Hiroki -

Hello from Starbucks at Sendagaya, tokyo.(next to Ron Herman Tokyo)
LostARGs folks

Pardon my English writing is poor.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your warm support for my adventure of FRAME10 of DCPB in Tokyo. Without your help I could not get any bag still. Maybe I could not come here because of last attempt at Saturday was failed. It failed twice Thursday and Saturday. I was really shocked because it was obviously indicated on the hub page of DCPB site but it failed actually. But Finally I got the bag today!! Someone in Lost fan community in U.S. was emailing to Ronherman US and figuring this out while I was away for Sunday. Ron Herman finally fixed things for a poor unknown silly Japanese LOST fan to have a bag with "i'm lost.." . WHAT A HONOR! And the miracle happened here. I learned that in our lives, If you are LOST, even here in the island of Japan, Yes I am living in an island in the pacific ocean, it turned to a place that miracle happens If I believed it. Everybody in LOSTARGS is the HERO, not me. Because you taught me to believe it what will happen next in a clue even it was failed once or twice. I experienced that this was what the show told and told and is telling it again in the final season! I would like to say thank you again for all of you for this great learning experience!

Cheers and Namaste!

Hiroki Tojo

Some well deserved thankyous go to Hiroki for all his time and effort in reporting back to us, Ron Herman for sorting out the issues, and to all LostARGs contributors for helping out Hiroki and others in Tokyo. Reading the note from Hiroki should make all of us on this site proud to be part of something that has bought happiness to at least one Tokyo based Lost fan.

The last word has to come from the RonHermanDotCom Twitter feed :

I would dearly like to hear a podcast or something from Darlton, on this poster series, and how its all panning out. Just their thoughts on the whole thing would be very cool, and Im sure, very interesting...
helloooooo is anyone there... listening... watching... taking notes?!...

Shane. That was a great post. Just pop in the name you REALLY want to be at the end of your comments. Like MEL (but that one's taken) lol

I don't post here often because I'm new for the most part. I just became a Lost fan within the last year, but if anyone's ever read my blog you might get a small idea of how much of the impact Lost has had on my life.

Anyways, I love it here & I am loving these discussions no matter how intense they may get!

Hope everyone's having a good week :)

MJCarp said...

Do you think jensenclan88 could give us a break with late nights? Clue already!

ReverendMilo said...

Last post before bed. Hopefully to put my insanity in perspective.

You share Lost as something special between you and your spouse. You never ever miss an episode together. You and your spouse participate and share in every lost ARG together. You loose your spouse before the end of Lost.

At what lengths are you willing to go through to see lost through to the end.

Sorry for my life ending up in here, but I really really like you guys and you should know my insanity has a basis.

off to bed, hopefully to not remember my brain dump. But now those of you that questioned why I even bothered going to FOB may understand me better.

& mel PM me over there so I can tell you why...

Roxanna, thank you for share your LOST experience. One year for five seasons is intense. You may have to write your own answers to your list of questions, because I'm afraid they are going to leave the 'magic box' taped shut. See you here and in the chat room.

Nice one Rev.

Rev..Your words touched me. I believe your words to be sincere. I respect your words. So please extend the same to me, when I say...If the route I have in mind for this collection changes,,You will be the first to know. For right now though, I'm not even sitting at your table. We all have missions and I don't want you to get your hopes up on me. I already got a whisper in my ear. So i have to explore it and see where it goes. You mite be at the end and that is as much Hope as I can give you now. but to be honest,,i'd direct your mission elsewhere. Its my understanding that there was at least a fourth person..another blogger type. Perhaps Zort has a photo of his letter from Paul also. Good fortune.

I just came by to say it's 12:09 a.m. on the east coast (Tuesday) and still no clue.

There are far too many posts to read through right now, just want to give a big "I understand" to ReverendMilo. Sometimes we sit behind our computers thinking no one would understand what we may be going through, then out of nowhere...

Goodnight. Don't regret what you said when you wake up tomorrow. You may have just helped more people than you know.

ReverendMilo said...

Night night, and for a lttle crossover between my butcher and dcaapb, search for "Paul is Dead". Basically the origin story of why I have my butcher and why I do arg's.

ReverendMilo said...

Coolio Mel, but still if you know the other place dm me. I won't try to wear you down, something kinda unrelated

comixguru... when Paul Sheer opened up his original website ..it was for laffs hoots and giggles. I joined in quickly and unloaded my sense of humor excessively. I had a good time. Out of nowhere comes the " giclee" print of DCAAPB with a letter explaining it all from Paul..I sensed an ARG had begun. Sure enough a few days later..the letter from Alexandra shows up. Zort has photo copies of all this. I believe he is setting up a tab or whatever for all the letters. He'l let us know when he is ready.. Thats how it came to be. Its just strange that Dark,, Doc Artz and I believe another Blogger..and myself..where the only ones publicaly acknowledged to get them. Seems to me ..it was for alot more than rippin loose at Pauls site. I mean.. I didn't see Dark or Doc there,,but they did spread the word of its existence. So..who knows.

Not sure if I have ever actually commented over here before (though have been reading the blog for a while), but I feel utterly compelled to after reading Hiroki's joyous letter of thanks to you all.

That is exactly the kind of thing that makes me proud to be a LOST fan. The experience is so much more than simply liking a TV show.

I tip my hat to all the regulars over here for helping to make Hiroki's experience an ultimately fruitful one.

Zort70 said...

After all the healthy debate last night, and because we do not have a new clue at the moment, I have created a new poll.

diggymow said...

Reading these comments is downright scary. You want to ban people from viewing the site? Judge them on their knowledge of lost? This is crazy.

Please understand this, at this point there are 1000+ people at any time who would like a poster and only 200 get released. People will miss out. This is impossible to control. Yes some are being sold for profit. Who cares? There is nothing that can be done about that at all. Any chance we can just discuss the clues and have fun? If you get a poster that's great, if you miss out that's sad but there are only 200 available and way more than 200 people who want each print. Many people are going to miss out. There is no way to control this.

Please think this through, there is no reason for talk like this.

Zort70 said...

diggymow, please take the comments before as healthy debate. Think of it as a conversation you might have in a bar.

No one want's to start a bar room brawl here, we just need to discuss openly and freely.

Zort70 said...

I personally have no problem in any sort of debate as long as it is civilised and polite.

diggymow said...

I'd like to add I don't mean to be offensive but I am really surprised at what I read. I feel it should be noted it's well documented that many of the prints for sale on ebay are being sold by lost fans for various reasons. Again though I don't mean to be offensive to anyone.

Zort70 said...

I don't think anyone has problems with anyone buying posters, receiving them and then deciding they don't like them or don't have the money to keep them.

The biggest debate has been about the profiteers who buy purely to make a profit, taking a poster away from a genuine Lost fan.

Zort70 said...

I also agree that the only way to stop that is for people not to buy the posters on the second hand market for a large price.

It may seem tough to do that as the desire is there to be part of the moment, but the moment will pass.

Martyn said...

I love this forum. I don't exactly know what I did on the Internet before it. For the past 3 years, I've been following doc arzt and even donated money to keep the site up. Then I made a vow to my gf not to watch any trailers or spoilers for the final season, but I found myself getting sucked in to Paul scheers site after watching the comic con stuff and doc arzt was obviously going to be difficult to avoid spoilers. Then he recommended this place as the best place to follow and I've been here since his LA X find. I enjoy the debate, don't like some peoples negative comments, but most of all, I like Reading and watching this tight knit community that's obviously been around a lot longer. Zort, maven, lotteryticket, amy Lynn and everyone else, thank you. It's like a spin off show of lost for me.

And reverandmilo... Totally understand your need to do this and I will gladly try to help you do so.

Zort70 said...

Talking of spoilers, there has been one on some UK based web sites today. I've just seen a headline not the detail.

Be careful out there.

Martyn said...

Any particular website so I can avoid it like the plague?

Wow, just voted,85% no change from 40 votes. I had to vote no change because what everyone said, there is only 5 posters on eBay so why ruin our fun because of the small minority?

Zort70 said...

Digitalspy.co.uk.

To be fair it is only casting news, not a plot spoiler, but still....

Zort70 said...

I'm remaining neutral on this for now, I haven't voted.

Martyn said...

Any news is bad news for me.

Thanks for the heads up! No Doctor Who reading for me today!

Zort70 said...

If it helps, the only headline on the main page is -

'Doctor Who's hammiest ever villains'

Martyn said...

Lmao!

Cheers Zort, think I can resist reading that one.

kiwilostie said...

will finish nite shift, hed home 4 a cuple hrs sleep, n then vote! Lots 2 thnk about!

Attorney Greg said...

Voted for "no change" but as a newbie maybe I should only get a quarter of a vote.

@Rev - sorry to hear about your loss.

Attorney Greg said...

@LT - don't know if it means anything but both pictures of the bag are exactly the same (minus the words of course), with the same wierd (intentional?) twist in the handle.

Zort70 said...

It is possible that the bag in the photo is a blank one where the URL / I'm Lost has been superimposed.

Seems like a lot of effort to go to get a photo, why not just go down to the shop and take a photo of the real one ?

Martyn said...

Maybe the photo's were just what Ron Herman sent as his final prototype idea before they started printing them so they just decided to use them instead of taking whole new photos.

justanothersky said...

I have stayed mostly as a lurker here. But after I saw the latest poll / post, for some reason beyond me I was overcome by a sad feeling which I just have no word to describe it.

Haven't voted yet because I am actually feeling a bit lost when faced with the delimma here.

Just want to say ThankYou to Zort70, Maven, Capcom, & other regulars for providing & maintaining such a great online environment.

(And please feel free to let me know if there's anything I can be of assistance.)

Zort70 said...

Thanks for the offer of help justanothersky, that's good to know.

The poll isn't designed to try and get a sympathy vote or to validate anything that happens here, it is just to try and get some measure (no matter how subjective) of what people want.

tupalev said...

As someone who signed up recently, I would hate for the site to go dark or "underground". The poster series brought me in, but the personalities and quality folks who post here have kept me around every day, even when we are not tracking down clues. I completely understand the frustration some of you have with flippers just coming on here to use the site, stir up some stuff perhaps, and then leave. I'm not sure how exactly to fix that, but whatever is decided, hopefully it will be keep the best interest of Lost fans in mind.

Thanks again to all who maintain and contribute to this site.

Jeff

Zort70 said...

Hi Tupalev / Jeff, welcome along.

Glad you have enjoyed things so far.

I'm keen to carry on with the posters and not focus on the flippers.

Martyn said...

On a different tangent...

Is anyone else waiting for the final season dvd to get all of them in the vain hope they do something special, cus i'm quite annoyed to learn I can't rent the bonus disc of season 5 for Lost University because it's exclusive to HMV in the UK, so tempted to go buy it but, as I said, would ruin my chance of getting it next year with all 6 seasons.

Someone please make the decision for me, too much pressure!

Mrs Z said...

@Martyn - Sorry, I have enough trouble making my own decisions! But in this case, I am also planning on waiting for the full 6 season set.

@Rev - Thanks for sharing your purpose and motivation. It really means a lot.

@Everyone else - just caught up on all the posts from last night and I want to say that this is a wonderful community where we can agree, disagree, or rant and we still respect each other in the end. I am so happy I started following this after ComicCon!

LostinLondon said...

I am really torn! I understand both sides, but think it is so fun to have everyone here and interacting. Don't really know how you could implement a more exclusive arrangement that was fair.

Also, people on the poll could well be flippers be voting - you just don't know!

Martyn - I am hoping they do an amazing complete box set next year! In the meantime i picked up all 5 seasons when i was recently in cambodia for v cheap so that is tiding me over in my rewatch. Hope you are ok!

Amy Lynn said...

Also, big hugs to RevMilo. I think you are super great.

Zort70 said...

Big manly hugs from me too.

Tess315 said...

Took the poll, looks like cooler heads are prevailing, should have know they would.

I've been with this group from the begining. I was a lurker in the TLE days and you're right this is probably the best group of Lostie out there JMHO.

Everyone is always welcome here. LT you have probably been the biggest helper we have on this project. Glad you found us and settled in here.

Now when's that next clue going to show up.

Zort70 said...

Yes, I'm itching for a new clue at the moment.

ReverendMilo said...

thanks ya'll, I think I broke my toe in my stupor.

:)

Martyn said...

Thanks for the help LostinLondon & Mrs Z.

Decided to go buy season 5 now from HMV so I can do lost uni and watch the whole MOTU. Then, when the super awesome season 1-6 boxset comes out, i'll just buy it and whack season 5 onto eBay and try and get some money back from it.

As for the new clue, i've had check4change refreshing since 10pm last night and it's getting a little bit irritating, not seeing a clue every 15 seconds it reloads.

Tess315 said...

Rev you're going to have to slow down on those brewskys. :) Take care of that toe.

HenryGaleWasHere said...

Yes, that would be sad for the site to go dark or secretive, it seems like then the flippers win. Just ignore them, ignore their auctions (there aren't that many, considering), and have patience. Not everyone will get a poster but the fun is in trying and following along with the clues! In the end, openness will allow us to reach out to each other like this.

HenryGaleWasHere said...

PS just curious, how many of you follow Doc Arzt's site? The day I found that site was the best day since I discovered Lostpedia :)

Amy Lynn said...

I loosely follow DocArzt. He has WAY too many S6 spoilers floating around, though, so I'm steering clear for a few months.

feel_the_insanity said...

I voted keep it the same. Would anyone really want to NOT have all those updates on reveal day? It is so much fun! Plus, I don't want to mess with a good thing, this site is great. Love coming on here and love talking to everyone about my favorite thing, LOST. However, I do think "flippers" (which, I think they are few of) are using Zort's site to gain info. But, they can just follow along with the clues on DCPB like us.

feel_the_insanity said...

BTW, I use DarkUFO for all my LOST related info. Seems like Doc Arzt is only interested in spoilers, not my cup of tea I'm afraid.

Scoutpost said...

Dang I thought for sure there would be a new clue when I woke up this morning...bummer. I'll catch up with ya'll later, gotta get kids to school, grocery store, yada yada yada.

Martyn said...

I did follower doc artz but I decided not to from the start of august as I guessed there would be a lot of spoilers floating about, which, as Amy Lynn just said, is true.

And ever since I did start following doc arzt, i've sort of forgotten Lostpedia, which I was on and following TLE with. Man I loved TLE, still got a Apollo Bar wrapper on my wall and all the glyphs saved on my computer too.

Good times!

HenryGaleWasHere said...

@Amy Lynn- yeah, I don't quite like seeing all the casting info, so I am staying away for a little bit too. But the articles and discussions are great.

The cool thing about the Lost posters has been exposing me to the print artists, which has inspired me to delve deeper and collect some of their artwork (I like Dan McCarthy's stuff).

Amy Lynn said...

Henry, if you go to the Lostaholics podcast, their rewatch is just as good as any of the discussions on DocArzt :)

HenryGaleWasHere said...

Yeah, after awhile, Lostpedia sorta melded into my brain and I stopped having to go there to research connections. But it was mind blowing when I first found it and realized there were people who loved Lost like I do out there!!

HenryGaleWasHere said...

Thanks Amy Lynn, will hafta check it out, I do love everyone's take on the episodes, etc.

reAnimated said...

Has anyone heard of any podcasts that go into this "ARG" with any detail?

Zort70 said...

Hi, no we haven't had a podcast for this ARG so far.

Congested has suggested setting one up, but we just haven't found any time to do anything yet.

Amy Lynn said...

It might be interesting for anyone who wanted to to submit a five minute recording of their experience with the ARG, be it at an event, or dealing with the buddy system, etc. It would make for an interesting mosaic podcast.

Sandman90 said...

Love the site, Zort. I have a lot a fun following along and participating. When I first started looking at your site this summer, the whole blogosphere world was not one that I had readily engaged. I would watch and the extent of my interaction on any internet site was usually limited to posting comments in response Doc Jensen's articles and mostly participating in the ARGs on my own. Then I found lostARGS.com watched for a while and dove in. Now I check it almost daily and feel a sense of community with most of the people here. My point is that I, and probably others, would never have joined in if it were not for the open and inviting character of this site and the people in it. It is fun to come here most of the time and I hope it remains so. I very much enjoy the reveals because of LostARGs.

Zort70 said...

Thanks for all the compliments recently, but I'm not in it for the praise I'm in it for the Lostness of it all.

This site arose from several sources that can be traced all the way back to http://thelostexperienceclues.blogspot.com/

Attorney Greg said...

@ Rev - ventured over to EB, way to stir the pot. That looks like it went over well.

I think a mosaic (ha FF) would be a pretty great idea for a Lost ARG podcast. By the people, for the people!

Everyone could have a snippet.

You know that moment when someone with a microphone comes up to you an asks a fairly simple question like "What's your name?" or "What do think about damoncarltonandapolarbear.com?" and you freeze, stammer, and say something smart like, "Uh."

If we go all live and everything, I will write a nice intelligent response and hire brilliant recording/vocal personality to read.

morning all. another long week of waiting.

Amy Lynn said...

Yeah, I think everyone having their own mp3 or whatever would be better than LIVE.

Zort70 said...

Maybe someone could come up with a list of questions or topics that the person recording could answer / discuss.

Keep it focused e.g.

Name (real or nickname)
Location in the world
Which posters have you bought
What moments would you like to see covered.
...
...

maven said...

I definitely like the tone of this mornings comments! Yes, this is the most friendly place to be on the web...I've made my Lost home here from the beginning! A bunch of us have been through life's ups and downs and have really formed a great community focused on one thing...the best show on TV. It has always been a spoiler-free zone and will continue to be so and respect each other's fear of anything spoilery.

I eagerly voted for no change! Anything else would defeat the purpose of LostArgs. We have always welcomed spirited debate and differing of opinions in a friendly manner. Things may get heated, but let's keep it civil.

Love to see all the new fans finding our site and adding so much to the discussions.

Currently, there is nothing we can do to stop poster flippers! I agree with Diggymow that there are only 200 posters available and way more Lost fans! Some people will be lucky and get what they want, and others won't. Sure, a flipper might get one that a true fan would want...but that's the way it goes.

Now let's get on with waiting for the next clue....

Amy Lynn said...

Yeah, either a list of questions, or just tell the story of what happened to you went you went to an event, etc.

Zort70 said...

Name (real or nickname)
Location in the world
Have you been to an event, and if so what happened
Which posters have you bought
What moments would you like to see covered.

ReverendMilo said...

you know I am in to the end. tell me what to do.

Amy Lynn said...

That sounds great. Should we email them to you, Zort?

Zort70 said...

My inbox probably wouldn't cope with lots being emailed.

Let me have a think about where they could be sent.

Amy Lynn said...

I'm happy to take them to my email box, Zort, I just don't have the knowledge on how to edit them into a succinct broadcast.

ReverendMilo said...

I'll create an announcement about it soon withall the details on the main site.

maven said...

This should be exciting! But I'm gonna need some help as to how to record it!

Amy Lynn said...

This is excellent. Maven, do you have an iPhone or have access to one? It has a really easy to use recorder.

maven said...

Yes, I have an iPhone...is it part of the phone or do I need an app?

maven said...

Amy Lynn: We can chat over at FB about this, unless others here would benefit from this lesson!

Amy Lynn said...

It comes with it. Called Voice Memos. Just press the record button and talk. Afterwards, you can upload the whole file to an email address or whatever. the icon is a little microphone.

I just saw that...simple as pie! Okay will do when I write out my script! LOL

I'm pretty sure that's available on the Ipod Touch, too.

The best thing to do is record it in a quiet room, with no distractions.

I feel as though the art junkies over at EB, that they check in just to find the url's and links to clues. The majority of them do no work for any of this.

I change my vote to finding a way to discuss clues and NOT have them find out. Period.

Yes, they can try, yes they can follow DCaaPB.com.... but how many will really follow? How many will be so vigilant? How many will give up because they can't just pop on that thread, find a url and try to catch a print?? If the answer is even 1-5, that's potential for 1-5 Losties to have a chance. They're spiteful, greedy , and ok with it. And yes while there are some "goodies" over there, they can join a legitimate lost forum.... or they can try on their own.

I think we need to stop feeding them the clues. As much as they have a right, and we can change and they can still follow.... i think by changing, we will still raise our chances! Even if the people who don't go for it are only 10-20.... that's still a 5%-10% better chance for us.....

They're gonna play hard. And by opening up our playbook and saying here... this is the next play we're gonna run.... try and beat us now! I think we aren't being paranoid, i think we're being a little ignorant, and a little naive...

It's a game. We all want to win. We should play as a team to win. We should change our stratagy.... and quickly.

maven said...

But we're not "feeding them clues"! All the clues are put up on DCaaPB in a timely manner! We're just trying to figure out the next clue before it's put up...that's the fun of this thing...beating DCaaPB to the punch! Everybody eventually ends up in the same boat...with the exact place and time of the reveal...no one really "gains" anything here except for the fun of figuring out the next hint!

reAnimated said...

Right. The time and place of the reveal is still listed on the site. Then theres the calm before the storm waiting for 'Buy Now' appears.

I don't think theres much to be done but just accept it, have fun, and enjoy the madness.

Zort70 said...

I agree completely Maven.

We should just concentrate on the clues and the chase here.

If the information about when was not available anywhere else then it might be a different situation.

Capcom said...

FWIW I voted for no change of any kind. LostARGs is just right the way it is. We will drive ourselves nuts trying to control the "variables" of this event and we all know how that turns out. :o)

Jesse T said...

I'm dieing for another clue! Also, well said Maven

Anonymous said...

Ok, It was this forum's choice, and i will have to accept that. But from reading the posts, they watch here and Dark, not so much DCAAPB.com. Some don't even know where that is..... when they look, it's here first, dark next. But mostly here, because they feel that they have to weed through too many posts to get to the clues at dark's.

And they're preparing much more actively from here on out with the way the debates have been... more will lose out. If we're good with that, fine. But the next time i see LT not get a print, become devastated, and noone from dark is willing to give up their print next time.... i will have to wonder if this could have been prevented.

Martyn said...

OMG, where the hell is this clue already???

reAnimated said...

seriously. I am sad. and bored.

Jesse T said...

maybe there waiting for the poll to end?(sarcasm)

Anonymous said...

Hi I miss lost and looked for latest arg and found this. My thoughts on latest clue;

In Glasgow, Scotland there is a tourist office where staff speak english. This office is located on george square in city centre. Is this a link to the use of 4 on the Ron Herman ubertwitter message on
damoncarltonandapolarbear.com
As Glaswegian's havee their own dialect many english to glaswegian dictionaries can be bought here. It should be noted that the office neighbours the gallery of modern art nearby.
Incidently In recent local and national media, translators were saught to translate english to glaswegian and vice versa. Glaswegian interpreters are being saught by the company 'Today Translations'. oh and i live in glasgow 'by the way' as they say here.

comixguru said...

maybe TPTB are flying to Glasgow to make sure things will be handled properly this time... which might explain the lagtime between clues... ? :)

ReverendMilo said...

I would like to point to two things about the poll.

1. 20% say this is a pottential problem

2. even the print hounds can vote on the poll to support their own interests.

And anon is on the same page as me. I know people want to talk about community and lostieness.

But remember what we have learned over the last several seasons. which camp are you going to join. Lostaways or The others. Jacob or Mr X.

ARG's have always been about teams working against each other towards a common goal.

Where are the people with the Dharma Instructor shirts to help me explain this?

RevMilo, I voted for "no change" too, but I'm happy to poster-hunt for you and all the other collectors, in case you get unlucky.

MiddayShadows said...

@ Zort "I'm keen to carry on with the posters and not focus on the flippers."

I like those sentiments. IMO we are going to have to accept that there is always goingto be a certain amount of buzz surrounding the subject. I have been enjoying and following this blog since frame 3 and enjoy it most when it is about the show itself and the posters themselves(not the market they are in).

@ Rev

I appreciated your posts last night. It takes courage to put yourself out there like that. Keep on!

MJCarp said...

Martyn, ditto

Let me clarify briefly. LostARGs coverage of last weeks reveal would not have had any effect on my NOT being able to log-in to GoMerch last week. I simple picked the wrong URL. Only I'm am to blame and I am holding myself accountable. That said GoMerch did get a high volume rant for having multiple live URLs which sent many to their poster deaths. Hefty's offer a life-saver to man-over-board.

Please send your suggestions to GoMerch Customer Service.

I wish I could bottle up the view from my window today and give . . . a gentle breeze . . . golden leaves floating . . . blue skies . . . a hint of winter.

I'm sure it's completely irrelevant but Glasgow is a Producer of LOST.

I know, I recognized that too last night on my Season 1 rewatch... Hmmm... But the Glasgow 4 is just too tempting a clue to follow!

@LT

I also went to one of the wrongly posted url's and still managed to get a print.

Who then is to blame?

Kelly said...

I know there is that line about a watched pot never boiling...but my new F5 powers (thanks to you guys!) are putting that mantra to shame!

I like what is discussed here and see that some of you guys do the facebook thing - is there a specific site to go to see the same folks once the ARG ends?

Thanks,
Kelly

Seeing as there is STILL no new clue, i'm intrigued to know how many and if any of you know what they're doing for the season 6 finale?

Don't deny it, you've thought about it! I'm planning on hiring a HD 42" TV to watch it on.

Amy Lynn said...

Sitting in front of my 42" LCD.

Martyn said...

I mean like, doing something special. Like having a lost party or something. Even though people do that already without it being the final episode.

Amy Lynn said...

I dunno. I might HAVE a party, but prolly wouldn't go to one. I'd want to make sure that all my guests are aware there is no talking, ever, during the show.

Eugene said...

I'm with you, Amy Lynn. Don't even make a slurpy sound and NO ICE in the drinks.

Ummmm. Ok. Maybe I won't have a party.

MJCarp said...

Anon, I said that I take the blame. My false/positive URL did not let me pass to purchase. Everything about the site was real, live, BUY NOW as explained previously. Within only seconds to realize problem, too late. Weeks ago I would have had hours. I call you lucky. Enjoy your poster.

Martyn said...

Surely no talking should be put on the invite before the actual invite.

Dear Joe Bloggs,

NO TALKING DURING LOST!!! EVER!!!

I would like to invite you to watch the Season 6 Finale at my house.

Please, leave all crisp packets or any other noisy thing at home. In fact, come in slippers, your normal shoes will make too much noise.

For the finale I plan to have a few cold Dharma brews and settle in to view with some of my fellow Lost friends here in town.

But will surely be online to post reactions to the OMG moments during commercials :)

The discussion and passion in this community is infectious and led me onto the forum after lurking for several weeks. I find the "sickness" requires me to hit F5 on my PC at an irregular rate and think I may be part of an experiment. While I have yet to purchase a poster this community and ARG has opened my eyes to another world. It is good to see there are others that have a similar affliction and share in the Lost community.

Still need to rewatch a season 4 episode before the Lostaholics podcast later this evening.

Can we have a clue now...Please!

Scoutpost said...

Wow that is a great interview with Damon. Thanks for posting it Zort.

As far as S6 Finale goes- I'll probably just watch it at home alone (with hubby). Whenever I go to LOST parties, there's too much "party" atmosphere and not enough "LOST" atmosphere. And none of the people there are as "dedicated" (read crazy) as I am about the show, so I'm always having to explain things to them, which annoys me and makes me miss things...So, I would rather watch alone. Not to mention, I'm sure I'll be crying like a baby because it'll all be over, and who wants to see that?! LOL

Great interview!

When I read Damon's twitter last Friday that said he was in Austin, I assumed it was for the Film Fest. I frantically tried to find out where he might appear but couldn't figure anything out. And he didn't respond to my @reply. Oh well.

I even spent a couple of hours at the big comic shop in town asking around. Who knows? I thought maybe he'd drop by to promote his new graphic novel.

I am nuts.

You guys are awesome! At least this week we don't have to figure too much out like the 88-keys or Ron Herman - clues are straight forward this time!

Light Rail Coyote said...

How come this clue is not seperate from the tokyo clues? Do they not usually clear the old clues before showing new ones?

Martyn said...

I really don't want it to be Glasgow (no offence glaswegians), so i'm going to see if Neil Buchanan is up to anything this week.

Attorney Greg said...

I'd post there is a new clue, but I see this is old news. So instead how about just a pleasant "hello".

By the way, quick work with the clue. Hats off to you (if I was wearing a hat, which regretably I am not).

MiddayShadows said...

@LightRailCoyote

the Tokyo clue transitioned into the clue for the new frame which is frame 11. So it is actually separate.

MiddayShadows said...

...and no they don't clear the older clues. They're all there to scroll down and enjoy, for posterity...

Cristina Roswell said...

@MiddayShadows

Sent you a PM there on the EB board, did you get it?

Martyn said...

Nuts! Glasgow it is.

But I did learn an interesting fact about Neil Bucanan, good old presenter of Art Attack, he was in a band called AC/DC before the actual AC?DC took off, then they renamed themselves Marseille and have a gig Friday 6th November, which is obviously too late. The interesting fact is that Marseille are a heavy metal band, that has just rocked my childhood memories a little bit.

Sorry to all the people who don't know who Neil Bucanan is, i'll stop rambling now. I'll start thinking of a way to get up to Scotland.

Amy Lynn said...

I just went through the whole list of stores here: http://www.buchanangalleries.co.uk/shop?nav

and none of them have a UK map as a logo, in case anyone was wondering :)

Scoutpost said...

LOL Amy Lynn, I had a strange feeling you were doing that! I looked at several and gave up (partly because I figured you were doing it). But I can confirm that I came up empty as well.

Scoutpost said...

We may have to wait for the next clue (darn it) to get any farther. Unless someone is able to find that flag/map logo somewhere.

Rorschach said...

There is a Disney store in the Buchanan galleries mall. Seems like that would be an easy place to do a reveal.

Justin said...

nice work! Glasgow it is!

It looks like Buchanan street is a foot traffic street. Cool looking area

I had brought up Buchanan Galleries mall earlier due to its high end merchandise ,,and the use of " Spoiled By Choice" in its promotions. Looks like that is the spot.
..so that narrows it down to like 90 shops..hahaaa!!

Scoutpost said...

And it's not just Buchanan Galleries. This from: http://buchanan-street.co.uk/

Buchanan Street in Glasgow is the main shopping area of the city, with the majority of the city's top retailers having a presence on this pedestrianised area.

The street is anchored at one end by Frasers' department store, with Buchanan Galleries at the other. In between these, you will find such retailers as Footlocker, Timberland, Vodafone, All Saints, Monsoon, Borders and Zavvi (was Virgin Megastore).

Worth a visit is Princes Square shopping centre. Not only does it contain such premium shops as Ted Baker, French Connection and Jo Malone, but also houses some of the best eateries and bars in the city.

LostinLondon said...

The bitterness! No way I can take a train for 5 hours to get up there and would prob even have to stay overnight depending on reveal time

grrrrr

Scoutpost said...

There is also the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and the Gallery of Modern Art located on Buchanan St. as well. Although based on previous clues and the one from Ron Herman, I'm thinking it's going to be at a retail shop somewhere.

@ Zort70: "The poll isn't designed to try and get a sympathy vote or to validate anything that happens here, it is just to try and get some measure (no matter how subjective) of what people want."

Sorry I probably got too emotional last night when I saw the poll, that happens often when I'm under pressure in real life... lol.

------------------

After reading the rest of comments, I'm very glad to see you guys staying positive. And I do agree with Maven that all clues would eventually go up on DCaaPB, and the information here isn't unique.

Frankly I would've been less bothered by those purely driven by profits if not for their endless BS trying to justify their actions, and trying to convince me and other LOST fans that they're actually doing all those LOST fans who can't get a poster a favour... (well that's my impression anyway from a recent encounter with one of them in my usual LOST habitat.)

I'd have hoped that I could contribute to actively eliminate the problem. But don't even know what I can do at this moment, except by staying alert & hopefully could stay 1 step ahead.

Ah, I apologize for the long ramble. Just one last thing though, seeing you guys remain positive in a situation like this makes me proud to be a LOST fan.
