Forbidden Planet - Glasgow 270

The confirmation of Date and Time is in with a picture of Walt reading a comic book, however it appears to be for today at 9am, has the reveal already happened ? Stay tuned to find out.

After the small faux pas with the date, the hub page is updated

Thanks to Rorschach for telling us first about the new clue, and AmyLynn for pointing out the date discrepancy.

Why the face? The date is confusing me.

Well, if it isn't an inability to understand English, then its an inability to read a calendar....

Today is the 28th =/
Ahhh what's happening?!?!

LotteryTicket said...

Oh. No.

Anonymous said...

The reveal already happened for Desmond. The rest of us have to wait....

vud said...

Just flash back in time and go this morning.

JPL said...

Confused & thrilled at same time. Does this mean we missed the reveal this morning. :)

Anonymous said...

This is so confusing. It is LOST. My first nose bleed.

LotteryTicket said...

Somebody reach out to Mr. Cooper

roxanna said...

I am actually very excited :D

LotteryTicket said...

and it's strange that the other image did not change as well?

LotteryTicket said...

Zort, is this one our clues?

comixguru said...

i am definitely pulling an all-nighter. or at least a New-Poster. :)

Capcom said...

What the cheez?! I bet that an intern will change it to the 29th soon. Hopefully. Or else as Hamlet might say, get thee to a Forbidden Planet, UKers!!!!

Lars said...

How about that poster reveal, eh? And it sold out in one minute?!

Boy, it's next to impossible to buy these things now.

reAnimated said...

Agh. 4am?? Seriously? 2am and Id stay up late. 6am and Id get up early, but 4?? Smack in the middle of my night.

WTF though? On the date. Maybe the time is a type too. :)

JPL said...

Wasn't it posted earlier that the #'s would be explained by Carlton today? Is that what this means... or an honest mistake?

"We have to go back!"

Zort70 said...

Lottery, it's quite a puzzler if it is a clue not an incorrect confirmation.

Zort70 said...

The reveal may be at that time, but the Buy Now could be later in the day.

I just called Forbidden Planet. The shop shut at 8pm tonight, 1hr ago. When I said thanks anyway, I'll see you at 9am he laughed. I asked him if he knew anything about DCaaPB, he said he had never heard of it. I said oh well expect a few people when you open at 9!

Sophie L said...

Can I ask that every one still goes? ='[
Just in case!!!

feel_the_insanity said...

Argh, what is going on?!?! Haha.

LotteryTicket said...

Excellent. "Never heard of it" Ha!

Attorney Greg said...

For those of you in EST - 4 hr difference.

feel_the_insanity said...

So that's 5 am here in EST? Wow, great. Some of us have class that we need to sleep through!

LotteryTicket said...

I'm thinking might have main page of DCaaPB open all night, just in case. Not trusting the clue. 4 a.m. here. Nice. Can we keep a secret?

JPL said...

This may sound a bit inappropriate…. but I like it early in the morning. ;)

justanothersky said...

LOL, this time travelling stuff is confusing...

LotteryTicket said...

that was a joke by the way.

Congested said...

Well, looks like it's going to be a long night. I hope it does go on sale at like 5am. That'll make it harder for people to buy it. :)

Sophie L said...

My teacher phone F P earlier, the guy was all "Emm.. I can't exactly confirm anything... I'm not allowed to talk about it..." and also said "Right now you probably know more than me"

=/ maybe they were in the wrong? Maybe F P got it wrong but are going a head with it a day later?

HA! It's the twist in the handles from the ronherman bag!!!

I have no idea i'm losing my mind. The UK turned their clocks back last weekend, I can't figure out the time difference on the east coast now, I used to think there was a 6 hour time difference which would now make it a 5 hour time difference, but I think this is wrong, it may be 4 hours.

Anonymous said...

Still confused. Did I buy the poster? And did I like it? I can't remember.

feel_the_insanity said...

I have to go out...but I need to stay at the computer in case something happens...ugh, typically LOST screwing with our minds!

Capcom said...

Color me confused.

Maybe TPTB are trying to confuse the flippers, hahahahahaha. j/k

Anonymous said...

it will still be the 28th in hawaii when the store opens

jeremy said...

Well...looks like this one is out of my hands.

Here's a vote for an early reveal, but a late 'Buy Now'

lol Anon.

i think you did buy the poster.

kiwilostie said...

Zort, some people might need your UK clock on the main page for this one. Ive already posted wrong info, as I didnt realise youd gone off D/S time last week! Woops...

Anonymous said...

Well my teenager just came through for me, he found the worldclock on my cell phone...there is a 4 hour time difference between the UK and the U.S. east coast right now (now I have to get him Eagles Touchdown Ice Cream :(

Anyway, still doesn't explain the 28th thing!

ekonomics said...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 9am GMT would mean

2am PST
3am MST
4am CST
5am EST

?

feel_the_insanity said...

ObFuSc8 said...

This is probably redundant by now but I see they seem to have made yet another silly mistake with time zones -- unless of course they think we can turn a Wheel and *blink* back to the past.

So if they meant 10.29.2009 the revael will be 5AM ET, 4AM CT and 2AM PT.

So maybe they'll give away DCaaPB comics -- that'd be fun in and of itself.

CuInAnotherLifeBrother -- I called the Glasgow store last night (my time) and the guy who answered the phone said he knew nothing (of course).

While they may have had this planned for awhile, MEL may have been right -- maybe they're catching on to our frustration at these last few prints selling out at what seems like ligh speed, so they've timed the reveal in the early hours of the AM.

I would doubt they'd wait another 5-7 hours to let the site go BUY NOW.

xtheprophetx said...

my guess is that they're doing it to help the asian/european contingent out, as almost all of the other drops have happened in the middle of the night for them.

kiwilostie said...

f-t-i, mate most of these reveals for me have been 2-7am! For once I get a nicely timed one, yeah! ...*fist pump*...

Martyn said...

Well, sort of glad I don't have to go to Glasgow now, though it is still weird that it's JUST Glasgow. I mean, what's wrong with the forbidden planet just down the road from where I work? Is Birmingham not good enough for them?

Saying that, Birmingham isn't very good for a lot of people.

Well, i'll be up, bright and early to buy this poster and will treat it as if i'm buying concert tickets. Last concert I bought tickets for, bought them two minutes before they were on sale. Let's hope for a repeat performance.

Who are the Glaswegians I can follow then tomorrow morning on Twitter?

Ginger said...

I don't know how my husband is going to feel about me getting up at 4AM to look at the computer:) & then what if it does go on sale quick? The adrenaline rush will have me up the rest of the morning! I guess that would be better than having to stay awake to wait for the "buy now"

JPL said...

Early to bed... early to rise... the faster you are with F5... possibly means the faster you are to get the the prize.

I'm cool with an early reveal & purchase time. I'm usually getting up at that time on the East Coast. It's our friends on the West Coast that are going to be dragging.

BarbaraJay said...

5 am? That's when I get up to get ready for work. That's great!

The UK turned their clocks back last weekend, are you taking that into account?

My worldclock says it's 9:30 in the U.K. right now. Last night I asked CUINANOTHERLIFE what time it was and we confirmed a 4 hour time difference between east coast and the U.K., he explained to me the time change in the U.K.

LostinLondon said...

Well - a good time for us - commiserations to the US people. I will just get to work late because i can't guarantee i will be there at 9am! I did get up at 3am to see the Fallout Boy reveal so sorry for those feeling our pain!!!

Do you think it may go on sale later in the day though?

Funny that is says 28th - I spoke to them around 9.30am this morning and no joy so pretty sure it didn't happen this morning.

I think whoever suggested that they may give out a comic with clue is right. The Ron Herman reveal clue said that it would be in the 'bag' and it was on a bag and here we have walt reading a comic.

So in other words... I'll have to wake up in a little more than 11 hours from now (2am local time). Ugh! The things I won't do for my beloved Lost.

I think it makes it a little easier for me knowing that I'll be suffering along with some of my fellow Losties... who will no doubt turn the experience into a fun one!

Better reset the automatic coffee maker for 2am... :-)

Nice that we don't have to time travel. Because I was ready to figure out how, because that's what you do when you are a fan of Lost. Now I just have to get up in the middle of night. A little more difficult.

MiddayShadows said...

i have no idea if I should stay up late or wake up early - yikes...

lostsailors said...

It's interesting to see say I'm going to buy it if I like it or not. Try and remember if you do someone who does like it will probably miss out. I've seen a lot of people say to just but anything since the last poster sold out so quickly but I don't really understand it. If you don't like it why take it from someone who does? It's not like everyone who wanted one of the swan got one... I mean do whatever you want I'm not trying to be the moral police or anything but I just felt like pointing that out.

feel_the_insanity said...

I agree scottbphilp. Only get the print if you want it. Good intentions if you buy for someone else...but it's just best to leave them alone if you don't want it.

Congrats Andy on The Constant script, I'd take that over a Dharma Guitar any day. Easily my favorite episode.

I'll see everyone at 5 am! Good night!

Henry, just saw your twitter acct. your in.

ReAnimated, texans fight and win despite the odds.

For an unrelated story (sommething I suggest we do to pass the time) I am gonna tell you a tiny story about me, a cattle trailer, and a traffic jam.

Few years back, in my home town, cowtown, I was on I35 about 15 miles outside downtown moving briskly when traffic came to a sudden crawl. 1/8 of a mile ahead of me cattle trailer rolled over and got stuck down in the median. The cows got loose, and about 18 were milling about in the 3 lane highway. Now I know you think this is gonna be a long story, so let me drag you through some needless diatribe about how you think it is gonna be a long story, but it really aint. So anyway, short story made long but going short again, the traffic jam lasted 14 minutes as no less than 20 people hopped out of their trucks with lasso's (both north and south bound travelers) and rounded up the herd. Just average texans lending a hand.

Remind me not to tell you about the 1300lb hog on that very same stretch of road, lassos were useless.

off all the artists so far, i could see you guys getting into Dans stuff the easiest. rob jones does some really great work, not many art prints, but top notch gigposters. i personally love leia bells stuff, but i know what people say about the childlike drawings. methane makes some of the most consitant and best gigposters in the world, but once again not many art prints.

so in short Dan is your man.

once the jay ryan happens, i'm sure some of you will be hooked.

I see I missed a lot of excitement, but I am glad we didn't have to figure out time travel!

First- Congrats Andy!! That is one SWEET prize. Dang. So jealous.

Second- 2am? oh my. I'm not worried so much about the 2am reveal as I am about waiting until it goes to "buy now". Hopefully it will follow the same time frame, I don't want to be up ALL night (although I have done it before in the name of LOST).

Third- I wonder if my fingers can type as fast and as accurate at 2:30am as they do at 10:30am? Hopefully this one will weed out a few purchasers.

I wish I could go to bed now, but alas I have a houseful of kids to get cleaned up and in bed. Tonight may be the night I start drinking coffee.

Man still can't get over that autographed copy of the Constant. neato.
