Yuck!

Does anyone know how the url was given? Were there any giveaways for Lost fans?

Roxanna said...

I don't know if the URL has technically been given yet. I think that the person who released the URL probably just tried all of the ones on that list that was posted a while back.

Very blurry picture of the drumkit on PacesOilChange

Tess315 said...

pacesoilchange posted a pic of the drummer and the DI logo on it. It's not very cler.

maven said...

This pic was just posted by @pacesoilchange. We're actually supposed to get the url on the drum? Who can see that? LOL

Tess315 said...

Another pic posted of a guitar.

Scoutpost said...

If that's the case (what Roxanna said) then that's a bummer...takes the fun out of it for the people like RevMilo who trek all the way down there and fight parking, only to have someone shortcut it. Wish people would quit cheating. And I'm not talking about Deneph or Dragon...I think they just pulled it off of someone else on twitter.

Zort70 said...

Another picture - guitar this time

Roxanna said...

@ Scoutpost
Yes, I think it's horrible if that's how it happened. I don't see how they would know the URL unless they took a very close look at the guitar. (the newest picture shows the URL on the guitar & even that font in the picture is pretty small)

Excellent poster

Zort70 said...

The URL is on the guitar picture

maven said...

Yeah, who could read that unless you were right next to it.

I just read over at Dark's forum that the release of the url was a cheat. I hope RevMilo got a good giveaway for all his trouble! Or at least enjoy the concert!

Tess315 said...

roxana
I just now seen the url on the guitar. How did anyone read that.

Congested said...

@Maven: Yeah if he's a fan of either band it should be worth it. Plus he got to be e-famous for a day.

Roxanna said...

Sayid'sGirl
Exactly. I guess like Maven said, the person who released the url cheated somehow.

I believe the entire print is visible in the image on DCPB.com, but in real life everything but the one foot will not be visibe except at certain angles. Pretty nifty. Before AND After!

Zort70 said...

URL definitely posted on PacesOilChange

Congested said...

Indeed, I shall be making a play for this one.

mistersh0w said...

how long does it typically take for these to go on sale once the URL is revealed?

Unknown said...

Yeah, I think I'm gonna get this one too.

Tess315 said...

I really like this print but I'm not sure if I want to buy it or not. I'm really torn. I'd like to wait to see if they'll have anything with Sayid but this may be the closet thing relating to him. (Since he was the first to see it)and I wouldn't want to miss out on that.

I wish they would realease them all at once so we could decide which ones we like. I can't afford to buy to many. One maybe two more.

Zort70 said...

I'm fairly sure I'm not going to buy this one, but good luck to those that do.

Maybe the prize for being first will be a guitar ?

Good night all, I've got to get 7 hours sleep in 4 hours worth of time !

Unknown said...

I like that you can only see the statue from certain angles. That's cool.

maven said...

Night, Zort. Thanks for all your hard work again!

They finally posted a closer look at the guitar's url. And they did twitted the url, too.

Inside the Rock Poster Frame said...

I'm still very sadly unimpressed. Two duds in row. Jason usually does really good work. I wonder how much freedom these artist have in creating the designs.

Tess315 said...

They've been using quotes as urls, is the a quote from Lost? I don't remember it.

Milkcan(doesnot)Rock said...

Hey everyone. I was the one on DarkUFO site that found the URL. Yes, i did it with copying & pasting URL's, but it was never my intention to cheat or ruin this for anyone. I figured that since the info is out there, it would be unfair if someone had access before anyone else did. if anyone was hurt by this, I apologize for my actions.

beesknees7 said...

Didn't Anthony Cooper say it in The Brig?

Amy Lynn said...

Cool poster - would be better if you could tell the statue has four toes!!!

Unknown said...

I like this one. It's the first one that may actually work in my living room.

Capcom said...

You're right Agatha!

Tess315 said...

Ohhh Agatha you're right.
I couldn't get in context in my head. Thanks!

Unknown said...

Sell us the print already!

mistersh0w said...

Deneph - Have the prints typically all gone on sale around the same times after the URL has been found?

Capcom said...

Whew, my VISA is thanking me that I will be able to pass on this one.

Anonymous said...

Amazing picture now from Paces: "Not Penny's Boat"

Amy Lynn said...

Yeah.... damn. This looks so good, but no four toes = no buy

Tess315 said...

Another pic at pacesoilchange. one of the band members has not Penny's boat on his hand.

mistersh0w said...

Ugh I still have an hour commute ahead of me!!! C'mon and sell the print already!!

Unknown said...

It's never taken this long for the "buy now" button to come up. I hope it does soon because I've had to use the bathroom for over a half hour now.

Capcom said...

Go ReverendMilo! X-D

Well, you could do what Howard Hughes did when he locked himself in a room, Deneph. :->

Roxanna said...

I've been F5ing 4 different pages: twitter, huckfinnwastaken, darkufo forum, and lostargs for the past hour and a half... :)

Congested said...

Well technically The Crash had a big wait forafter the option to buy... though I doubt it will be that long tonight. And besides I'm nitpicking. :/

Tess315 said...

Order #781

Unknown said...

Wow. Considering my Order # for the Love Triangle was 683 from not too long after it went on sale, there's probably a bunch of them left.

Unknown said...

@Capcom - If this room wasn't technically my husband's I might have. :o)

Congested said...

Well its time to see if the four toed statue breaks the black-background-not-sold-out-yet-curse. :)

#790 and I thought I was fast . . . yikes.

maven said...

LT: I was wondering the same thing.

Roxanna said...

Congrats to all you buyers out there :)

I just ordered the DI Edition of Season 5 so I'm passing on this poster :)

Tess315 said...

It's killing me to pass on this one. But I'm going to wait and see what else they have to offer. 10 more to come.

Zepeleptic said...

Order 822, wow people are fast!

Tess315 said...

They've posted 3 more pic links.

Congested said...

@Sayid's girl. I hear you... but I couldn't pass it up. :/

I'm also a big Sayid fan as he's my favorite character so I'm hoping there's a Sayid poster... but even if there is it would have to be subtle for me... like this one or the Locke one... I like the posters that don't scream Lost.

Capcom said...

You could just pretend that this poster is a picture of Sayid's ninja-ankles. Heehee.

Tess315 said...

LOL capcom

Koobeton said...

congested: i like how it doesn't scream lost but with the majority only showing up at certain angles/lighting and the rest being black, this doesn't seem entirely worth it.

CL said...

Just FYI on the order numbers...

I ordered the Bell poster earlier today (3 PM-ish EST), and that order number was #774.

So, either 3 people ordered the 4-toed poster before me or 3 people ordered one of the other posters earlier this eve...or some combination of both.

I think that puts me in the running for #1 buyer on this one! Woot!

PS - Anyone got any ideas about "FC"? How about "For Charlie"?

MeSoCrazy said...

My favorite poster is Locke's (the style of the poster and that it too isn't obvious)but I bought The Crash (I was too late on Locke). I really like this one because as many have mentioned it doesn't scream Lost and yet it's definitely something people would comment on if they saw it. Wanting to know what it was, etc. Again, I go back to 'intriguing.' But I am passing. Congrats everyone.

For a long time lurker I sure did delurk myself today. Apologies.

Congested said...

Yeah, to each their own. :)

I didn't really like The Crash but most people loved it. It really comes down to personal tastes. Having said that I haven't seen it in person and I could hate it... but I'm doubtful that will be the case if it's anything what it looks like online.

As for FC.... It stands for f***city. It's Andy Hurley's (FOB drummer) website. Strong language warning, etc, etc. :P

Koobeton said...

a little confused about the numbers listed...

MJCarp said...

mesocrazy hahaha heheheh delurk
love that

no idea about FC on drum kit

Follow Charlie

Unknown said...

People are giving their order/purchase numbers. They've been going in order with every poster.

Congested said...

Oh. And to figure that out all I did was google "fall out boy fc" :/

MJCarp said...

TPTB should have had a poster url link for FOB fans! almost 800 following on twitter. Maybe T-Mobile will follow up on that.

Anonymous said...

My 2 cents on the poster..buy it before its gone,
I can see where this print would have more effect when viewed full size. The dark grey being hidden and only clear at certain angles and lighting..really strikes the surreal in me..The whole 4 toed statue is a message from and thru Time. That the statute is down to just a foot,,indicates age and with that ,,a certain resiliency of the message of those who constructed it..The ankh is a symbol of ...that transcendence of Time,,a message thru out Time.. of Eternal Life. a message of Hope ..So,, to me ,,this is a very clever print with most of its message hidden in the dark,,almost a faded memory..but still enough left in brite gold,to give Hope.,,What the 4 toe statue is saying about Our Times is in plain sight but possibly just as hidden...and can be only seen in the rite angle and rite lite...how very surreal! ...This print is really quite excellent IMHO..MEL

Amy Lynn said...

For all the trouble ReverendMilo went through, I'm glad they got order 815!

ReverendMilo said...

Hiya all, no real regrets. Glad I had something lost related happen in my town for the final season. Plus my costumes rarely get to make odd ublic appearances. It was fun.

And kharmically enough my order # was 815...

That made me feel wonderful the day after "lost" day.

CL said...

Yeah, the 815 order number is almost better than anything else...he should get a special (additional) prize for being at the concert AND getting 815!

Congested said...

Hey Rev! Thanks for the twitter updates.

@DM: Word. Though I still want my special prize for being first online at the cupcake shop and that ain't happening. :(

maven said...

Reverend Milo: How awesome you're #815. Thanks again for all your tweets!

congested...I drove 120 miles to get a free bookmark...and was dressed up in my Frank Lapidus get up at that..I feel your frustration....mel

Congested said...

@mel... wow. Yeah. You beat me out as far as Lost trips of shame go. :/

Sympathies, friend.

Question for those that ordered The Crash. Should I not be worried that I have yet to receive it? Cause I am.

MJCarp said...

Ginormous photo showing the magnified drum kit with partial url reveal over at DCaaPB Hub. I NEED all images to be this big so that I can SEE what you (Tyson) are trying to reveal.

"Lost trips of shame" Think of all the 'fun' you'll have for the next umpteen years re-telling your 'heroic' efforts to get the family bookmark heirloom. lol

maven said...

Mel: I got my Crash about a week ago. I'd be worried. Sorry!

Congested said...

@Anon... people were receiving The Crash before I received Locke's Secret. I was likewise worried, but sure enough it eventually arrived.

Hope that makes you less worried. For some reason some people receive them after a week or two, and others, like myself, receive them "3-4 weeks" after they ship. :/

Anonymous said...

Anon..You are not alone in your worry..therefore...nothing to worry about,,,Thanks for posting,,now I know I am not alone, and therefore , have nothing to worry about...

The post office doesn't like it when 200 tubes show up in one day..so i am sure the shipments are spread out. Its only been 2 weeks ?? Yet ,,,Well, it gets my mind off of driving 120 miles for a free bookmark..keep in touch...MEL

MJCarp said...

My poster"The Crash" arrived Saturday and I was close to end. You may want to inquire.

Roxanna said...

Hey guys...

This was updated on Twitter from @Gomerch who is in charge of selling the posters.

Don't know if it's important but it says "Game changed" so I thought I'd post and get ideas?

GomerchThat was really cool RT @JensenClan88 - Insanity. Travis is flying over stage during solo. Game changed http://mypict.me/Kzk4

the link goes here:

Congested said...

@roxanna... apparently Travis Barker was on a "flying platform" drumming like 50 feet up in the air or something. I think that's what the "game changer" was as far as drum performances go. ;)

Roxanna said...

yeah, I don't think it means anything, but I thought it was interesting because the bottom picture (the map) is the same as what we got from @PacesOilChange

MJCarp said...

roxanna, I was watching that also. we should continue to follow @jensenClan88. You might also take a look at his twitter following. Interesting group. I think this was our mystery photographer for @PacesOilChange.

The concert looked amazing and I am hoping for video.

Anonymous said...

...a little Bob Hope video( thanks for the memories) now,,on the DC&PB sight...mel

Thanks everyone. I feel a little better a little bit still nervous. I actually am trying to email/inquire right now only my email is being a son of a biscuit.

SAWYER: Tom Sawyer.
COOPER: I was young and Huck Finn was taken. And the ladies loved that one. Made me charming.
SAWYER: Well how about that.
COOPER: How about what?
SAWYER: Sawyer's my name too.

Hey,
Just ordered this poster - my first. I really like it and have been hanging out to get home from work to order it! Followed the url relaease on my mobile phone! I was thinking the other day how I would like the statue poster to be - I got it totally right with the darker background bit for the majority of the statue - the only thing to make it any better would be if he had managed to get the whole statue in - hard I realise given the shape etc. CHOICE!!

NEW POST

1Miletogo said...

I haven't received my Crash poster yet either, so hoping it comes soon.

Inside the Rock Poster Frame said...

I'm surprised no one has noticed the fact the poster has the wrong foot showing. On the Island only the right foot remains of the statue. In the poster its the left foot.

Anonymous said...

...looks like the right foot to me...the one that is gold is the right foot..

And,,yes ..glorious of of glories, sunshine on a cloudy day, all is right and right is all, first day of the rest of my life,,,The Crash, was waiting for me at the door, when i got home today...MEL

Anonymous said...

Inside The Rock said that backwards: on the Island, the left foot is one remaining... on the poster, it's the right foot.

Whoops I did transpose my statement LOL.
