Mysteries Of The Universe Part 3 36

The third instalment of the Mysteries Of The Universe series was made available via Hulu today. This is a day earlier than advertised as it was due to be released on September 8th.

Initially only available on Hulu to people in USA and Canada, the video was downloaded and uploaded to You Tube by DocArzt - Click here to go to the DocArzt and friends blog

The video starts by talking about a mysterious Church, that looks remarkably like the church that hides the Lamppost Dharma station seen in the fifth season.

There are lots of images of supply invoices including either another or the same WAKY radio station invoice seen in the first video.

Then someone, who wishes to remain anonymous, talks about being interrogated using psychotropic drugs, mention of someone called Oldham, who was also featured in the fifth season. During this interview there is mention of the Ludovico technique, a brainwashing method featured in the film A Clockwork Orange, and also in Lost in room 23 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludovico_technique

The video also talks about submarine fuel, and asks why it would be needed by the church.

Some screenshots from the video click on them for larger versions :-

I have uploaded pictures of the letter and print I received.

Thanks Tom for the link to the letter and other pictures, the "Icinig on the Cake" line seems to be another clue towards the next poster reveal.

Zort70 said...

Or even "Icing on the cake" now I'm making mistakes, there are enough deliberate ones in these letters without me adding anything extra.

Thanks Zort! I know my photography wasn't the best, so please let me know if anybody wants pictures of anything else.

TomRex, looking forward to photo of your letter and DCaaPB print. We have notice odd errors in grammar and spelling in communications from A. Miller.

'watch television' was in the last letter.

'icing on the cake' in your.

I think we're seeing a pattern.

You're a pretty good guesser. How'd you know "icing on the cake" would be in his letter? ;)

Nice pics Tom, thanks for posting them.

TomRex: Thanks for the pics. Icing on the cake was in quotes...something people do for "cliches", but this really stood out. There definitely is a pattern developing here.

Let's hope the next "winner" shares with us as well. I had mentioned the letter contained "icing on the cake" in a previous post.

This is really a ton of fun and I am hooked for sure.

Sorry we didn't pick up on that wording earlier Tom, it just leapt out with the new clues.

lol Guess I wasn't paying attention Tom. You obviously were LT. :)

Yes let's hope we're lucky enough to be able to see all the letters that come with the extra items.

Apple Cobbler

LT: Great work! Yummmm...that sounds too delicious. Now what does Apple Cobbler have to do Lost?

MJCarp said...

amy lynn, because if you can't eat'em the next best thing to do is look at them. I reviewed all cupcakes selection for pleasure.

Do we have NYC fans? Speak up. This may go tomorrow or Wednesday.

maven said...

Well, we know a Cobbler is a shoemaker, and shoes play a part in the Lost mythology: Christian's white tennis shoes, and Jack putting Locke's corpse into his father's dress shoes.

Wasn't there some sort of apple in the story of Adam and Eve?

I think we may be taking this one a bit too far - maybe a dozen of these have to be ordered tomorrow.

i an in NY and i plan on going tomorrow morning when it opens.

unfortunately i have work for the rest of the day so if it doesn't happen early i'll be lost.

MJCarp said...

woody, great. do you tweet?

Also, I just watched the craziest promotion re: Survivor (CBS) It is made like a Dharma orientation/Mysteries of Universe style. Not sure if worth discussion. But references to Australia, X etc. Or are they just making fun of us?

sure do: https://twitter.com/woodyjang

How do we know this is happening tomorrow?

Hi everybody... If you go to DC&PB there is a pic of the cupcake of the month now, apple cobbler. At the http://www.crumbs.com/cupcakes#0 site, and if you look at the the apple cobbler one, you can see writing on the cupcake paper (and looks like a pic of a serpent, too). The other cupcake papers don't seem to have writing so I guess this may be a clue and whoever can get their hands on one can open the paper up and see what it all says? Here's a pic: cupcake of the month
I can't tell the letters/numbers except for sure a B and 5 (or S). I still wonder if the extra 5 on the Dharma Van poster means anything? LOL!

I'm excited about the new mysteries video.. gotta watch that now!

Black Swan said...

Sorry.. that link isn't right! I'll try again!

TomRex said...

I think the cupcake wrapper just says CRUMBS on it.

maven said...

Sorry, BS, I agree with TomRex...it just says CRUMBS.

Black Swan said...

Hi maven and Tom.. I see that other cupcake papers do say "Crumbs Bake Shop".

Black Swan said...

But this one looks different.. idk. This is making me hungry looking at these! LOL!

Scoutpost said...

Maven- they know because the site updated again. Tomorrow at Crumbs 8am-10pm. Those muffins and cupcakes look yummy!!

P.S. still waiting for the Phoenix clue. ;)

maven said...

Thanks, Scoutpost. Don't know how I missed that!!! Unfortunately, I'm not going to make it to the Larchmont one. Hopefully, someone closer will clue us in. Or Woody will find out at the Wall St. one. (Woody: I'm following you on Twitter.)

Congested said...

I'm in NY as well and will go tomorrow (today). :/

maven said...

Congested: Great...are you on twitter?

Congested said...

well yes. but i have a weird thing going where i only update it once a year. /congested

...yeah, uh... so follow woody.

having said that i can comment here from my phone. ;)

maven said...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I rarely update mine.

Congested said...

Hey I don't know if this has been mentioned previously or not (it hasn't to my knowledge)...

these links show alternate views of the poster(s):

http://gomerch.com/dcpb/xr/body.php?module=product_details&pid=3&id=1

http://thatandbasketweaving.com/dcpb/xr/body.php?module=store&id=1

Currently only the Dharma Van poster is listed... which unless the Hurley poster has just sold out is a bit odd, no?

Boy there are lots of things happening at the moment.

I've added a new (non commenting) post for the new clues, and a further post for the live updates from todays events which we can all comment in.
