Washington Post - Paul Scheer Interview 275

The chat with Jen, Liz and Paul is now over, see the transcript here, lots of intersting questions submitted and answered. including this answer -

There was also this question which was submitted by Amy Lynn, and I think the answer clears up a few things about the 16th reveal.

Paul also gave this answer to a question, for the relevant post which includes a still of the piece of paper click here

Finally a very intriguing couple of answers for us all to get our thinking caps on for -

Maybe we have to check the Ping Pong balls from New York for microdots…

Unknown said...

(repost) This is probably a dumb question . . . but did anyone take an NY ping pong ball into a dark room? (Or UV)

Anonymous said...

where is this ping pong video? Can someone give me a link?

Brendan said...

Where's that video from the ping pong place?

comixguru said...

Anne - not a dumb question at all. someone do it!!!!

comixguru said...

i think Paul answered 2 or 3 of my questions. that was pretty awesome.

Did anyone spot my question ?

I asked under a pseudonym.

Damn, he's obviously taken lessons from Darlton in answering questions.

Give them nothing but give them something that they'll pull their eyes out to know the answer to.

Where is this clue, i'm done staring at the ping pong ball!

thorsten said...

but what is the connection between Ping Pong and About this season? Come on Paul, I know you are lurking right now!

Zort70 said...

Try this post for the video and some stills.

Unknown said...

Thorsten - do you have an aversion to Mancunians?!

Is there something with in ping pong ball? Kin of like harry potter - I open at the close!

thorsten said...

The video… the painting!

thorsten said...

hah, Tibbs, no mate, but Martyn wondered how Zort might have spotted him ;))

Unknown said...

He said something about Charlie's hand and a shot of his hand was in the clues at the end of the ping pong video.

ChrisL said...

Yep thorsten - that painting, there's so much in that painting!

Martyn said...

Nice Harry Potter reference!

Zort70 said...

The problem is we haven't got a very clear version of the video to study.

Amy did a great job in capturing it, but as ever we need a high quality version to study.

Zort70 said...

jdcurtis, I think Charlies hand was a reference to Comic Con where he had "I am alive" written on it.

Unknown said...

thanks zort... thought I was on to something. But I do belive that the clue he was referring to is in the video.

Martyn said...

I guess there aren't many rabid LOST fans in Solihull.

Was tempted to ask the framer if he'd seen any of these posters before but don't think he even know what LOST is.

MJCarp said...

the HUB questions says

Watch the video closely, Ping Pong Players.

maybe we need to compare the actual video from show to this one. Is there someone CG'd in?

If they didn't release the video via the HUB, how did they know we would have a copy if not for AmyLynn?

AmyLynn? are you a candidate? lol

thorsten said...

The Linder Gallery Interior,
this is related to the ARG then, and no hint to season 6…

Martyn said...

Bar Zort when he's in it of course!

ChrisL said...

LOL Martyn, I had the same experience with my local framer. Excellent framing work but blank look at my attempt to explain the prints and the LOST connection!

ChrisL said...

Watch the video closely, Ping Pong Players. Does this mean watch the players IN the video, ie Hurley and Sawyer?

thorsten said...

here it is again…

Again, just as a note since there's a new post here:

I can walk to the Melrose Gallery from my place. So I'm planning on being there pretty early. If others who can come want to come out and hang, that's cool.

Since it's less likely that the poster reveal will conflict with the showing, I'm definitely going to be there. Will have some ability to send things along to the Web for those who can't.

Martyn said...

ChrisL...

With my framer, it was the way he was describing Jacob's Cabin that gave it away. The fact he called Ben a ghost and the cabin a cottage.

Lord knows what he thought of the Hatch!

I don't think this clue we've missed is in the video, because we only have Amy Lynn's video. Must be something in the final clue as it says look closely on that too.

He really has provided more confusion than help.

MK said...

@Zort,

Yeah thats the picture of Dominic from Comic Con that Paul referenced when asked "do you think charlies dead or alive", his answer was alive.

This IMO is seperate from "you missed the clue" and the ping pong reference.

Well I have nothing to add, per usual, other than I feel like a ping pong. Get something 'yes,' 'wait' 'what?' 'clue? what clue?' 'what the shenanigans is going on here?' So in other words, the use.

To think I've been feeling this way since Locke's Secret and I still missed that poster. Okay I'm lying, I'm always 'huh'. But this arg thing has made it a lot worse.

I'm here, just have been catching up. wow, when it takes off, I'm always busy doing something. I guess on the 15th, I will stay up late or I will miss it all.

ObFuSc8 said...

Not sure what else we could have missed at the SPiN reveal. The video had those buried pics -- we talked about them briefly, but the discussion of The Linder Gallery Interior ans those buried images was brief -- if Paul's been lurking, he could have missed those.

ObFuSc8 said...

Anyone have those Ping Pong balls? Definitely see if there's glow in the dark ink on them.

Dennis said...

I'm just reading through the transcript now, and one thing i noticed that isn't mentioned in the post, is that that 16th poster might not be a poster at all.

"Maybe it's not a print? Maybe it is. It's definitely a piece of art" - Paul Scheer

Maybe the Taweret four toed statue IS the 16th piece of art?!?

I'm sure you all saw Carlton's tweet:

ChrisL said...

@Dennis, it did read like that for a moment but then the ad on the hub says "Come see all 16 posters in one room".

Carlton just tweeted the hub page link, so it must be a big event.

I think that it either has to do with something from the movie shown at spin... or maybe the clue with the clock and all the ping pong players. The guy in the 2 position is holding a computer that has a ping pong paddle on that... but it doesn't coralte with the release time (6:00-8:00). Or NYPLAYA is the font from the movie Ping Pong Playa... has anyone seen that?
If anyone would like to trade for a napkin from the 44th ward giveaway e-mail me at Caleb_stead@yahoo.com

Probably totally pointless, but I just transcribed the video:

Hey, what's up it's Paul from Damon, Carlton and a Polar Bear. Now I know you guys haven't seen me for a long time and a lot of you thought that "oh, he was kidnapped or he was killed or maybe he was cloned" but no, I haven't been any of those. Actually I've been working, working really hard, because I've been the guy rolling all those posters and putting them in tubes and sending them to you, yeah that's me. I thought that Ronnie Mifdew would actually have a person for that, but no, it's just me, in a warehouse slaving over your posters. Let me answer one question: no, I can not give you an extra one. There's only 200, that's it, you didn't get em, that's it, there gone, forever. Just like Walts innocence and youth. Yeah right, when he came back wasn't that weird it was like "who's this old guy, is that the same guy, a different actor?" I don't know, he looked weird. But, let me tell you, for one full week all the Lost prints, all 16, will be in one gallery in L.A. at Gallery 1988. It's going to be amazing. Come in, take your picture next to them just like the Mona Lisa, show all your friends, like "oh my god I got my picture taken next to that Daniel Danger one, that's awesome!" Plus 25 different artists are creating Lost inspired paintings for this event. You're going to be blown away just like the hatch was blown away in season two and check this out. New velvet painting, I've been busy, I'm doing new stuff… wait this is not supposed to be out…this is, no… you're not supposed to see that. December 15th, December 24th, It's gonna be awesome. Lost experience… (fades away)

mungonna said...

The right thing to do...ahh yes,,the right thing to do..

Listen up..maybe its something ..maybe not..but

If u take the first letter of the first reveal website..then the 2nd letter of the 2nd reveal website,,3rd letter from 3reveal website..etc etc..you come to the ping pong frame..with not enough letters.. so just take the " dot com" that follows the ..bury address...continue on to and including 15th frame..

So you end up with a bunch of letters and a ".com"....a regular anagram machine won't help because they don't deal with names like..oh..say..Charlie. Now, winning this race to the 15th may depend on placement . It could CharlieNowWins..or Now Charlie Wins or Charlie Wins Now...or it could be nothing at all. But.. there is some of what i found with using the example discussed earlier at 1988 about their " game"...MEL

Hey gang!

Going off topic a bit, but just received Ben Linus print today, and I have to say,it's DEFINATLY better in person!

I got #108 again, @Lottoticket, and I took a pic of the sig and the full frame to send to you, Zort.

This print even has a hidden image in glass ink! In the lower left hand corner, there is a big DHARMA symbol, surrounded by smaller ones (the smaller stations are The Swan, The Hydra, The Staff, two from TLE (Sri-Lanka image and the one that looks like two planets), The Arrow, The Pearl and The Flame. Also, it's printed on a beige paper, which is a nice touch in my opinion. Thanks Todd!

Also Zort, which email should I send the pics to? I keep forgetting the address!

So yeah, nice bit of information there from TPTB.

And am intrigued to see images of the linus print, my dad ruined it for me by saying Ben never had that much hair in the show.

MEL and LT, I started doing that with the frames after I saw Jensen's post about G1988 art show puzzle.

Kind of breaks down at the 13th frame, unless you use that as clue for either a "blank" or ".".

I guess we should have asked Paul why they switched that one out, huh?

The letters I get are:

A H W N N I I R W S L E _ C O

where the _ is for frame 13

ytimetravel said...

Never mind. The image at :39 is the yellow ping pong ball in the sand. But the quality of the image is so bad I couldn't see it. Meeping myself.

Shot in the dark, but gonna throw it out there anyway - any chance that these clues are hinting at something to do with Pearl Station? The ping pong table makes me think of the hatches, the question mark makes me think of Pearl and the ping-pong balls don't hurt. That's all I've got. Sounds kinda tenuous when I write it out, really.

And DCaaPB.com, if you're expecting us to pull a clue out of that video, post it on the hub page! We shouldn't have to rely on someone's home movies (thankful as we are to have them!)

thorsten said...

My bet is firm on the Linder Gallery. Three different possible systems of the universe in the center of the painting with the Latin phrase “ALY ET ALIA VIDENT” – “Others see it yet otherwise”.
Latin, others, too much for a coincidence. And it has no relation to the rest of the vid, it really stands out.

Unknown said...

MK said...

I spoke with gomerch yesterday (had to ask a question re: billing of Ben, I had a personal concern). I was told Ben has been shipped but i'm not seeing it as billed yet. They told me not to worry, it's been approved it will show up in a couple days. The initial hold had dropped off.

Don't worry if you haven't received your Ben yet, they're on the way (in other words) and you'll see the billing appear shortly. I live on the East Coast if that helps.

ChrisL said...

kmfdm11031, that's your Ben print right? I should stop worrying then.

Unknown said...

yep- i just spoke with gomerch- they said my ben print shipped!

ObFuSc8 said...

Now the question would be if they wanted us to use a cipher on those letters...if they are cipher text?

I think that any puzzle of this type may be left for the actual G1988 event, since Paul seemed to say in the chat today that the last reveal will have clue and a URL...except now I can't go back and find where he said that...

Martyn said...

Cool pictures Walkindude.

ChrisL said...

Thorsten, I'm with you on Linder. How much of a coincidence is that?! It's item 65 on the painting for anyone that hasn't seen it. That whole painting is just too damn complex to be nothing surely.

On that note, I echo mistertibbs. My head now officially hurts. To bed. This has been an interesting evening once again in the company of interesting people. Thanks all, till tomorrow...

ytimetravel said...

@ Mel - "..so..is there a strong enuf link between charlie and the ping pong?"

Does anyone else think No.2 in the Linder Gallery looks like it has Henry Gale's Balloon in the tree?

My feeling was that the interview with Dr Michael John Gorman, the gallery Director at Trinity College Dublin's Science Gallery suggests a possible Dublin reveal there. But I know it's unlikely.

Unknown said...

"It's item 65 on the painting for anyone that hasn't seen it."

What painting? I remember the gallery from the video but am not getting the stuff about "possible systems of the universe"

Unknown said...

Chris, Lisa. Glad it's not just me! Night folks.

Unknown said...

@RevMilo - thanks for the photo! I thought it had that GiD cast. But I guess it's just nifty, not relevant. (Also, now you can play ping-pong in the dark.)

@Walkindude - nice pics! Man, it looks cooler than it did on the site, I thought it was kind of creepy before.

I'm inclined to agree with Steve re: Linder Gallery mainly having to do with the show. Except, Paul's wording wasn't clue about the ARG - it was "huge clue . . . about this SEASON" . . . so it may have nothing to do with the reveal/print/etc, but instead relates to the plot of the final season.

Which is terribly intriguing, given the information people have found w/the Latin!

ytimetravel said...

The title of the fresco or painting shown in the upper center of the Linder painting is "Ignorance Destroying the Arts and Sciences"

http://www.mysteriousmasterpiece.com/

If you watch the video on this link

http://www.boingboing.net/2009/11/05/the-linder-gallery-i.html

you will see how the painting it blends art and science, and encompasses real universe models (by Galileo and the like) in the objects in the room. There is also as a painting of of two artists, one of whom is drawing the Linder Gallery. There is also a drawing of the Linder Galaery on the site which is very similar but different (there is a dog in the drawing for one thing). But the Globe remains in the centre.

Pay special attention to the 2nd buried image in the SPiN reveal video. That was a pic of the actual 17th century painting "The Linder Galley" painted by an onknown artist, and which has been kept in private collections for some time (at one point even having been taken by the Nazis.)

This piece is said to lie "At the intersection of art, science, and mystery" and incredibly fitting to out LOST plot.

This is an ARTICLE ABOUT THE PAINTING.

Michael John Gorman, curator of the Trinity College Dublin's Science Gallery, became obsessed with the artwork and created a Web site and book. This site is amazing, is interactive -- you can zoom, pan and everything in the painting is labeled. Any LOST fan will appreciate the attention to detail.

Bumping now yt.

I emailed John Michael Gorman about the painting and the nod to it in the buried pic. He emailed me back asking for a link to the video, which I sent hime, but he knew nothing of the mention -- or at least says he doesn't. Here's the last bit of his final reply:

Hi,
Thanks for your message. Everything about the painting can be found on the website www.mysteriousmasterpiece.com
and in more detail in the book A Mysterious Masterpiece: The World of the Linder Gallery.
Particularly interesting is the Latin phrase under the cosmic systems: ALY ET ALIA VIDENT, or "Others see it yet otherwise".
I have often wondered if this could be an anagram, perhaps it is inviting us to see the phrase itself "otherwise".
Good luck!
Kind regards,
Michael John

OK how about this.......

The new "Flyer" for the event has the paintings inside the Dharma logo. And Coincidentally In Walt's kidnapping, Mr Friendly's eye is directly between the space of the lines. Now i own it, and in that eye, is a curved arrow. I mean its clearly an arrow no doubt about it.

SO what if this "flyer" is telling us where to look in the posters for possible clues?! I know i may be reading too far into it, but this just may be our FINAL comprehensive clue we've been speculating about.

Was kind of depressed after the art show info came out because it looked like there was nothing left to do but watch others go places and buy the posters- but now Paul says there are still clues to follow- so it looks like there's stuff we're going to have to watch again!

Comix- anything about the parking? It looks like it is just on the street.

From Gallery1988:

Martyn,

For all of our shows, we usually open it up to those in the gallery and try to put it online at similar times. In this case, it would seem, because of the secrecy of the show, we would put the artwork up the next day online, available with whatever is left. We will know more however when the show is closer. THANKS

Just Thinking said...

Rev- did you wait till Zort was asleep to post that? :)

JT - they said "There is pay for valet next door in the blue fenced in lot, but that does seem to go fast. There is street parking all around us though."

i will probably be looking for street parking. are you going?

ObFuSc8 said...

For those of you in LA, what's my best strategy -- getting to a hotel in the morning and taking a cab, right? Would probably NOT want to chance a drive?

comixguru said...

@ ObFuSc8 - are you coming? awesome! i think taking a cab would be fine. have you already booked a flight?

Just Thinking said...

comix- no- sigh, sigh, SIGH. But my sister lives very close-just don't know if I dare to ask her to go stand in a line for a couple of hours at least- so I was trying to see how hard it is to get there, etc.

Patmc said...

I'll be there for sure... driving up from San Diego.

I've got some food for thought about the Linder Gallery. If you use the link that Zort posted earlier, you can take a very close up look at different parts of the whole painting:

http://www.mysteriousmasterpiece.com/

I was looking at everything, and noticed the bookshelf on the left. There is an item there (item #35) that is identified as a book by Euclid. Euclid is the father of "Euclidian Geometry", the basis for geometry, algebra and number theory. There are some possible tie-ins to Lost regarding Euclidian Geometry. If you check out the Wikipedia article on Euclidian Geometry, a couple sentences at the end of the intro section grabbed my attention:

"It also is no longer taken for granted that Euclidean geometry describes physical space. An implication of Einstein's theory of general relativity is that Euclidean space is a good approximation to the properties of physical space only if the gravitational field is not too strong."

Check out the Wikiepedia entry at:

Possible connection to the "big hint" that Scheer was referring to... or do I need to get more sleep...?

Oh I can't keep up with all this on a workday!

I am so excited to see Bens are shipping. I STILL am not over getting one of those. It's the only one I wanted. I can't wait for it to come in the mail!

I also seriously want to go this event. I am so afraid of driving, I am going to have to plot this out. And uuuugh parking down on Melrose? Street parking is the worst.

Just Thinking said...

Here's a thought- what if the poster reveal is before the art show- but there is still a clue hunt with something at the show to lead to another item- like they did at the other Gallery 88 show?

Just Thinking said...

Pat- not sure how the downgrading of Euclid is a clue?

Amy Lynn said...

Hey guys, I was away from computers all afternoon, sorry.

To answer questions: yes, there was audio on the video for the scene. Didn't seem to be any extra audio that I remember during the flashing images.

Sorry I didn't do a better job capturing the video. I did what I could.

futureself said...

Amy Lynn - you did just great! Thank you ;)

andalone said...

You did great Amy Lynn! You are the only one who had the presence of mind to capture the video! Well done!

MeSoCrazy said...

Don't mind me I'm just a hamster stuck on her wheel. I figure if I keep moving I'm at least 'in the loop.' Even if I'm on my own wheel, in my own cage. In a entirely different room.

andalone said...

@MeSoCrazy - so THAT'S the squeak I keep hearing!

MeSoCrazy said...

Sorry. But yes. That's me.

Just Thinking said...

Yes Amy Lynn- the video is great. People are peeved at TPTB for potentially putting out a clue and not providing access to it.

Sam G said...

Sorry, I've been at work all day and just catching the last few things here. Are people upset about the Video they showed at Spin? I thought Carlton twittered that none of that was going to be shown on the show. That it was a direction they thought about going but in the end didn't.

ObFuSc8 said...

Amy Lynn -- you were the ONLY LOSTie there that had the presence of mind to capture that video, so no apologies needed! They should post it at the HUB if they want us to see anything else.

I'd bet the video would be playing at G1988 at the Dec 15th event.

comixguru -- if they will give me the day off, I am THERE! I had already planned on flying to a reveal if they didn't have one in Chicago and had just about given up when the last one dropped.

I don't know if my brain will be able to function at the G1988 though. I think I may turn into a mushy fangirl and babble...

I'd love to video some of it and/or stream, but I don't know if I have the time to set all of that up and get out there in time, with Christam shopping still left to do.

MJCarp said...

Amy Lynn, great job on capturing video, I posed the question because we are now considering Hurley and Sawyers conversation as part and parcel. Thorsten added that above. Which, if we were JustAsCrazy, we could 'see' binary code (see above). But we are NotSoCrazy and the "clue" is most likely a reference to season 6.

Maybe Paul is yanking our chains by talking about missed clues. He seems to enjoy watching the fans search for nonexistent clues:

From today's chat-
Paul Scheer: 1.) I love following LostARGs, DarkUFO, Doc Artz, etc..I think that the sleuthing skills there are better than most police work. In the beginning I was watching a lot of fans try to piece together clues from my web posts (and their weren't any in those) but they created the most amazing interpretations of them. All of them were wrong of course but it was still damn impressive.

Just Thinking said...

I've done a paraphrase summary of some of Paul's answers on LP- think I might repost here- or just put a URL to it?

Just Thinking said...

Ok well I don't think it will hurt to put it here-so here goes-

Some interesting points from Paul Scheer's chat with Jen Chaney and Liz Kelly of the Washington Post:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
About the 16th frame-paraphrasing-

Will 16th be revealed before art show? "Potentially- but not simultaneously"

What will be 16th reveal date? "the same day, earlier or later"

Will 16th be released before Dec 15th? "You have to follow the clues"

Can you get the 16th if you go to art show? "Everyone will be able to get last piece like always, going doesn't preclude getting it"

"Those attending show won't miss final piece"

Is last reveal a poster? "Maybe a print, maybe not- is a piece of art"

Will 16th be limited? "Yes, like the rest"

Do you go to URL to purchase like before- "Yes"

Where do you find the URL?-"Follow the clues"

Will Taylor Stout be the 16th artist? "Can't confirm or deny-the final piece brings it all together"

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The event:

Will Paul be there? " Yes, after it starts"

Will Damon show? " It's a possibility"

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The statues in the box in the video:

Do the 2 different colors hint at something - "Yes"

Are there 2 different statues in the show? "I don't think so."

Will statues be on sale at the show? "That would be cool if it happens"

Will painted statues be on sale? "Hmmm..."
------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE CLUE:

"There is a huge clue everyone has missed. About this season."

"Remember you missed a big clue. About ping pong"

kiwilostie said...

Well that was a arvo catching up on comments, scheer vids n linder links etc etc etc!
I know the art will be popular and out of my reach, but hopefully we can get some hi-res jpegs of them... with those and the current 16, Im going to make the be all and end all of LOST ARG print screensavers/revolving wallpapers!!
I so want one of those small Tawaret statues though. I really hope they make some available for the general public, even if its at a later date and not G1988 related. Thats a piece of LOST that I want on display with my prints.

kiwilostie said...

Oh yeah - Thorsten, pic coming tommorrow for the montage!.. have to get my beauty sleep!! *gag* lol

hobbit said...

Hi all, been away a good bit lately. As usual though, you're all way ahead of me when it comes to this stuff. I'm intrigued by the Linder Gallery pic, and I'm pretty sure that those statues need to be mass produced and sold, because I'm pretty sure everyone here would buy at least three each.

MJCarp said...

evening down unders.

maven said...

Evening to those still here: Wow, that interview with Paul was awesome and ambiguous! Paul is well-trained! LOL Also, if the SPiN video is so important why is it not on the Hub? Thanks to the quick thinking of Amy Lynn...it's all we've got!

The good news is that I am going to be there on the 15th! I plan on getting there very early to find good parking and avoid traffic...probably around 3pm...hope that's early enough. When do other people plan on getting there? Any word on the parking situation other than the street parking or valet parking next store? This is going to be great!

Amy Lynn said...

@maven, YAY. I'm glad you get to go.

Attorney Greg said...

My thoughts on the missed clue (with no actual knowledge) - Wonder if the transcript of the conversation in the video differs from that from the show - that could be the clue to the season similar to the comic con snipits of Hurley, Kate, etc.

Just Thinking said...

But unless you lip read you can't tell- and they know we don't have sound on the Spin video- so if that is the clue they know we couldn't find it.

Unknown said...

JT nice work on the transcript! I definitely think we weren't being chain-yanked, since he mentioned it twice (re: ping pong).

One thing to add: like the ping pong video/Linder Gallery clue possibly for S6...
Q: Paul, can we look to previous posters for clues to the 16th?
A: The 16th piece has clues to a lot of things

Since he also confirmed the two-colored statues being a clue, sounds like we've got more hints to things beyond the game coming our way at the gallery show. (I thought I'd imagined that comment so I wanted to bring it up)

Maybe Paul *isn't* well-trained . . . maybe Darlton sent the polar bear over. That'd keep you from slipping up and spilling the beans, a bear breathing down your neck . . . ;3

Scoutpost said...

Wow, I missed all of this, but I'll have to catch up when I can comprehend what I'm reading.

I've got to figure out some childcare issues, but if I can...I might just make the road trip to LA. fingers crossed.

Unknown said...

Random thought before I get to my main point: the two different colors of statues...maybe they're chess pieces?

Main point: Has anyone here framed Jacob's Cabin yet? I ask because I went to the frame place today and the fellow there recommended using UV-blocking glass to keep the print from fading. However, a lot of glow-in-the-dark paints charge using UV light, so putting the print under UV-blocking glass will likely kill the glow. Has anyone else run into this problem? Does anyone know what kind of paint Daniel Danger used?

Orchid7 said...

Okay home from work and just read through all the post/Paul interview. Very interesting stuff. I am also intrigued by the Linder painting. It's fasanating, and the 3 cosmographic systems really caught my eye. Especially with regards to poss clues in posters. What I mean is Tycho Brake whom the Tychonic System was named died at age 54. Now as we have a 5 an 4 in posters that stand out I thought that kinda a cool coincedence. Probably nothing but ya never know. I'm inclined to think if this painting is anything it's a clue to season 6. It also contains a stature of Apollo, to paintings involving Egypt etc etc...

kiwilostie said...

illix, I couldnt get the DD print so I cant answer about that one, but I am going to get anti UV glass on all my prints. I couldnt bear them fading over time. Prolly will hang them where they wont ever be in sunlight either!

Orchid7 said...

Hey Kiwilostie, I'm from NZ as well. Just wondering have you had any trouble finding frames to fit these posters. I haven't had a chance to get a frame for mine, but with us being metric wondered if the size thing could be a problem?

thorsten said...

okay, everybody who will not fly, drive or swim to california, send me your picture for the poster till sunday if you not already did that. thorstenwulff@gmail.com.
And we need a volunteer who will print that thing and take it to the gallery…

Scott said...

Hey it sounds to me like the 16th poster won't go on sale until we figure out the clues we've been 'given' so far. As for what those clues are I'm not sure. I don't think Paul was being cryptic when said the reveal would be "the same day, earlier or later" I think he meant it won't happen until we figure it out.

Unknown said...

Does anyone have a barracks poster here? Is it anything to do with that poster? Anything hidden in it?
Just thinking as that was the one from the ping pong reveal…

ShoxTP said...

Posted this earlier, thought i re post and get some thoughts.

Martyn said...

@illix...

I took my Jacob's Cabin to the framers last Saturday and he said that by using diffused glass would ruin the view, it doesn't work too well with Black posters and it makes them look grey. So I went against it for that one and will again for Dharma Van.

Just don't put them near a window and they'll last fine.

Zort70 said...

ShoxTP - yes it may be worth us giving our posters another look with different lights or angles.

I forgot to say morning all.
I'm a bit nervous this morning. I have to take my son to the Doctors this morning to have him checked out yet again. He has a lump in his cheek that moves around if you touch it. It's growing and now his lymph gland on that side is swelling. His jerk father(my ex) doesn't do doctors so Joey never even told him. If they have to do something more than check it or give meds, I will have to call him. It will be a fight as usual and he doesn't want to spend his millions on his sons health. The threats will start and I couldn't sleep all night just worrying about it all. Anyway, say a little prayer and think good thoughts for my son today. He's the one on Jo's contest page playing Charlie in the photos. Thanks !
