Well its all over now. I got all 3 prints that I tried for, had a fun time following all the clues on here and got to go to the gallery today on my way into work (met Lottery Ticket as she was picking up a bunch of stuff for others on this site).
Really wish I had a ton of free cash to buy some of the stuff at the gallery. Jeff McMillian's piece was amazing in person, did buy a couple small Punch-Out!! prints by him at the gallery since I was in a print buying mood and my friends and I made a sweet Punch-out trailer a few years back (Bald Bull for my friend who played him in the short and King Hippo for me since I played that part and did the sound design.)

Shameless plug... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiBER4iVwCw

Justin, I was watching and it made me smile with a very big grin.

Martyn said...

Man, am I tired. Couldn't for the life of me figure out what time it was going on sale. Someone said 9pm, so woke up at 5am GMT for half an hour and thought forget this!

This last poster was a bit of a joke with the time, they should of said when it was going on sale for people who had to wake up especially.

Anyway, congrats to all who bought one, treat it well and with respect.

Josh said...

I know it is asking A LOT but if someone could pick me up a Locke t shirt I would love you for life... as well as reimburse you obviously. I need a Large and it would be shipped to Kentucky. Email me at jjdotson@adelphia.net
Please be my constant.

well its done :( but i cant be sad im sitting in a room with 17 poster tubes :) me and my brother collected alot but no tyler stouts although my eyes will be looking for a good price or trade

Martyn said...

Just read through, there was an issue last night with the line? So confused. Went to L4L but I can't see any board discussions, anyone any idea why? I signed up for it ages ago when Amy Lynn first mentioned it.

ChrisL said...

Martyn, I really wouldn't trouble yourself. History. Morning mate.

MiddayShadows said...

Hi all - Just wanted to check in as I finally catch up with the posts..

Congrats to all who got a print and for those that didnt , I hope there were other great highlights in this event for you to remember. There were plenty of them !

Zort70 said...

As far as I'm concerned the line thing is history, the parties need to sort it out amongst themselves, when / if they have a resolution they are welcome to post about it here.

All of them are valued members of the LOST community and it's a shame that there is a slightly sour note at the end. The event was such fun for all of us watching and living the event through the excellent (sometimes wobbly !) camera work.

I am troubled that people have felt unable to post here for fear of being attacked. If anything like that happens then I will remove the posts as I would in any other situation.

Zort70 said...

Midday, there were a lot of comments weren't there !

Justin said...

@Zort, it was pretty awesome coming home and watching all the footage! LT and Rev did a great job! It was a pleasure to meet everyone (including a ton of people I dont know from the boards and blogs!)

Rorschach said...

@Josh
I think they may have been sold out of larges when I was there today, but they were taking orders through email for the Locke shirts. There were still a few XL available. Try emailing them and see if they will send you one, the folks working were very nice.

Also I was shocked that they didn't have any 2XL shirts even made, where is the fat guy love?

Lisa-Maladylis said...

yes and I miss talking with the one's that are no longer here but I do understand their absence. I am part of a small group of lostie friends for the very same reason. No one wants to be bashed amongst friends. Come back, the craziness has ended !

Zort70 said...

By the way I have to send even more thanks to Reverend Milo for sending me and Mrs Zort a Polar Beer T-Shirt.

The postman got confused when it was addressed to Zort

Ellen said...

Wow...800 emails in my inbox this morning! I just about caught up and I thought I'd drop in to say, with deepest gratitude, thank you Zort! This has been so much fun even tho I couldn't really participate. Maybe there will be one last fun thing to do together before it's all over...I can only hope! Meanwhile, I will be coming out of "lurkdom" when s6 rolls around! Congrats to all who were able to buy...so sad for those who didn't get there. Take care and I'll be around!

Martyn said...

@ChrisL...

Erm, ok then I guess. I guess it's bettter to be blissfully ignorant sometimes. Hear that Paul? Didn't want you mentioning the SPiN event because we all went crazy!!!

Anyway, what now? I'm going to miss this little ARG, i've enjoyed more than TLE, purely because i've become part of a great community and met a lot of great people. Plus, great to actually have people as obsessed with Lost as I am.

Rev milo and Thorsten, could you make fake websites with clues on it and a fake poster all the way up until Semester 2 of LU, I need my LOST poster fix, man!!!

Martyn said...

Actually, I think we need to know what the world's favourite poster is from this series. I mean, we all know, even though I disagree with it but would be interested to see where my favourites stand with other people.

The Hatch was the only poster that I saw and instantly fell in love with and said I MUST HAVE IT!!! All the greens and purples, I feel lucky to have it, along with all of my other favourites. To think I was originally only going to get the Dharma Van and nothing else!

Lisa-Maladylis said...

Mine is still the Dharma van, with the Polar bear next and then the Barracks. Oh and I was looking at my Barracks yesterday and realized it matched my kitchen perfectly, so there it hangs. Not neat anything that would ruin it mind you, but it looks fantastic. Now I still have that spot for the Polar bear when I find one that isn't too pricey so until then, the spot will be blank. Maybe I could hang the van there till I find it.

Zort70 said...

Yes there will be a poll up soon for favourite posters.

Lisa-Maladylis said...

Zort, while your here, I wanted to personally thank you and Dennis for running this forum so well. It's always been the one that I come back to when looking for my friends and want to talk about anything LOST.

When I woke up it was 8 degrees outside here in New Hampshire with a wind chill of alot lower than that burrr but it's nice and warm here in the LostARG's and I always feel welcome here so early in the morning warming up with my friends and my coffee

Nicole said...

So, the first print was released on the 16th of the 8th.

The last on the 16th (of December) also.

4 months apart. Gotta love number connections.

Martyn said...

I love the Dharma Van too, it's so special to me as I used the £50 my godmother who I haven't seen in god knows how long gave me for graduating so I will always think it's special. I've been a huge fan of intricate detail in this series, so Dharma Van, The Hatch, Jacob's Cabin I naturally bought. Didn't go for smokey because it was just TOO red for my liking, which is a shame. If i have any regrets from this ARG, it was not trying for Walt's Kidnapping. I was thinking about trading it for swan station instead of thinking about the poster itself. But them the brakes! Anyway, better head off to work to recuperate some money from this ARG.

Lisa-Maladylis said...

lol I think my bf breathed a sigh of relief when I said I wasn't going to buy last nights poster. He thought I was going to buy it but was happy when I said no. I will print myself a small copy, maybe put it on a shirt or mug (it's nice to have a mug and shirt press in the house lol) Off to put spiced wine roast in the crock pot for dinner. have a good day at work.

LostiePat said...

This site has been great fun. I look forward to connecting with many of you at LU and TLC.

@Zort - you do an amazing job. Thank you!

ChrisL said...

Lisa, Martyn and others, feeling the love and never want it to end! I want to see all of the names back on here that have become synonymous with good conversation and fun times.

Unknown said...

Didn't try for this one - didn't want to get up early and couldn't see it on my wall really.

Congrats to all who got it, i am excited to get mine back framed.
Framing costs so much I am going to have to be super selective really.

8/16 not too bad!

Lisa-Maladylis said...

Oh I know all the people that like it here will stay till the bitter end and then some. (I hope)

It's so cold here this morning that the dogs looked out the door and said nope. They finally went out and I think I saw the white collie cross her legs. I think they were both shooting ice cycles when they finished there duties. lol

ChrisL said...

Lisa, we had our day of snow yesterday, the kids screamed and laughed for half an hour and now it's as if it never happened. Cold but sun shining.

So that's it now. No ARG so we're resorting to weather talk ;-)

Team Jack said...

Hey all, I had a great time meeting you at the G1988 event. Thanks for being so friendly and inviting me along to the get together afterwards. I had the best time that night and I am so glad I went!! I wouldn't have any of the posters if I hadn't gone. I was simply too broke for most of them and then lately my stupid Vaio crashed and my only Internet is via my iPhone. I will be heading back to the gallery for more shirts since they didn't sell out and I live locally. I wouldn't mind buying them for some people on here that missed out. I'm hoping my good Lost fan karma will pay me back down the road. One day I'm hoping to get my hands on a Crash print-my favorite! (and perhaps a Locke, Love Triangle and Swan) without going thru eBay. I mean I love Lost but $500+ for a poster? I just can't afford that! Lol I'll see what I can buy at the gallery and I'll post on here after with details. Thanks again to the ARG people that welcomed me in, you guys were awesome!

Lisa-Maladylis said...

lol yeah the weather. I wonder when Martyn is going to get his snow ? He said he wanted snow.

Lisa-Maladylis said...

hey Team Jack,, I would love a shirt in size XL I'll pay you for it and even throw in Dharma Beer Cozy for your trouble. Thankx !

Team Jack said...

Oh and Josh, for that awesome "Please be my constant" comment, lol you're first on the list. If they have a large left it's yours. I'm heading down later today so I'll post on here when I get back. :)

velvetgreen said...

Any word when prints or other products are going to be made using these images? Knowing how many fans are out there and how few originals of these pieces, you'd think this would be a no-brainer, and soon too.

ChrisL said...

Hey Team Jack, that's really good of you, pleased to hear you were welcomed in by our wonderful folks in LA.

Lisa-Maladylis said...

they put my sons memory site back up (it was down for a while) thought I would share it here since I talk of him so much. His birthday is when LOST starts again on 2-2 I'm glad it starts that day so I have something to do that day.
Anyway, this is it. James

Cristina Roswell said...

Well, I was asleep when the print went on sale so of course I missed out but I´ve got Jacob Cabin and would be willing to trade it for the "LOST" print so if anybody is interested, please let me know: arscode(at)hotmail(dot)com.

Congrats to those who managed to get one though!

ChrisL said...

Lisa, that's a lovely tribute.

Josh said...

Team Jack, I Would be incredibly grateful, and if by chance they were out of large, x-large would do just fine. Again, you are awesome.

LotteryTicket said...

Missed it, but Codeblue on EB got like 12 of them and sold me one at face value. Pumped.

Unknown said...

During checkout last night, on the credit card screen, my "Card Name" and "Expiration Date" was auto filled in but not my card number. So I copy/paste my number in and then I realized that the "Expiration Date" was wrong - it had the month and year reversed. Did anyone else have this occur for them?

I actually submitted the form and it loaded the confirmation page where I noticed they were reversed so I went back, fixed it, and resubmitted and got one! :)

Unknown said...

codeblue charged me 1200????!!!

ohhhhh, I hate EB!

All the same Edward, 120 was very reasonable. You guys are sooooo lucky to know someone as awesome as codeblue. I love how the print collectors pull together and help each other out!

What a great day.

Scott said...

Hey just wanted to say congratulations to those that succeeded and commiserations to those who missed out. I missed out trying to get one from work. Took a break at the time we thought they would drop but because it was a couple of minutes late I had to give up and head back inside. Checked my phone a minute later to see it already sold out. Thanks to everyone who put in any hard work over this thing it's been really fun. Hope everyone is feeling alright after it all, in my opinion this last one was handled pretty badly and I really can't figure out why.

Lisa-Maladylis said...

I think you missed a zero Chris lol

LotteryTicket said...

Codeblue charged you $1200?!

I'm surprised, do you have an account on EB? I know two other people that just got one from him for face value, he may have gotten closer to 20 posters last night.

I think as long as you didn't go crazy on EB, Codeblue will sell you one for cheap $$. I *think*.

ChrisL said...

Ah Lisa - look, you're right. Oh dear, not such a deal for Edward then. Wow, codeblue is going to make quite some framing money out of his remaining 10!

Oh dear oh dear. Can I stop now. Thanks.

*is way behind but subscribing to comments anyway!*

Congested said...

first! (in amy lynn's subscription)

Congested said...

Any did you go for it? (and get it?)

Amy Lynn said...

Didn't even try. I'm not crazy about the print itself, and I like sleep.

Congested said...

Ah. Yeah, interesting, some really took to this one and some didn't.

tbh I'm in the middle. Like it, but it's about my 4th on list of favs and doesn't have a place on my wall at this point.

ChrisL said...

I feel the same Congested, The art itself is quite stunning in places and as a representation of LOST I love it. I don't think I'd hang it though whereas I can't wait to get all the others framed and up. Don't have to worry about that though as I didn't get it ;-)

geekboypress said...

Hey Team Jack! I live on the East Coast with no chance of getting a shirt in person, so if you could grab a large, that would be awesome! I can send you the cash and something from my shop if you like:

Jimmy Goose! said...

I am still seeking the crash, the hatch and linus....

I would be willing to part with LOST for all three of those prints...no cash...Im not looking to make any money on this...just looking for the posters I wasn't able to get...

jimmy@jimmygoose.com

Callie said...

Originally, I was going to go for this but I realized my money would be better spent framing my Walt's Kidnapping, which is still sitting in its cylinder. I'll wait for a mass-produced lythos of this one (that will probably never be made, I know). I tried to buy it anyway (as a poster buddy, not a flipper, I mean) but no luck.

Congrats to all who managed to snag one. For those who missed it, keep looking!

If anyone's heading to G1988, I'd be forever grateful if you could pick up a Locke's Secret tee for me! I've heard they're out of most sizes, so the smallest size above a medium is fine (which I would assume is XL). I'll reimburse, plus shipping, obviously. I can mail the cash or do it through PayPal, whatever's easiest. E-mail me at drumrgrl@comcast.net.

Unknown said...

I saw in checkout last night that I could have ordered more than one poster, but I didnt want to risk it. Does anyone know if entering 2 or more in that box would have worked?

Unknown said...

Didn't they always have the quantity box there which would allow you to change the quantity? I somehow remember having that option when I ordered The Hatch but I did not change it then because people were saying it only allows one per order anyways.

reAnimated said...

Phew! Caught up. I had great success last night, then immediately went to bed. Well done to those who got it.

@Zort, it sure is great to see all 16 lined up at the top of LostARGs. :)

StrobeJams said...

AFAIK only one poster per IP address and CC (gomerch changed the policy to one poster only after print 5 or so). Not sure how someone should snag more than poster then. Of course it's possible that the folks over at EB know more than I do.

Ellen B said...

Good morning, all. I didn't even try for this one since, like Amy, I value my sleep. Plus I'm never successful during the initial reveal. So, now I'm 15 for 16. What I'm thinking, since I want it, is that I may do a trade for this one.

ChrisL said...

Masheen. I think that was the usual EB wind-up. The one per transaction rule applied as far as I know. I'd like to hear if anyone did manage more.

mungonna said...

Good Morning All, Allow me to extend a HUGE Thank You to Zort for moderating and curating this sight. I am forever in your debt. This sight is in the center of all things "the last 6 months" that culminated to the magnificent Teusday Night.

Its still with me. I am not trying to hold on to it. I am just letting it keep its hold on me. I'd do it all over again.

Amy lynn..I sang your song " I bought a Poster' over and over again, to my self, after being delayed in Phoenix due to a Security Breach at the airport. Yes I had already made it on to the plane so I eluded their sweep. but it scared me right out of my frame of mind. Your I Bought A Poster restored me to the frame of mind i wanted. Thanks.

Zort, you hint at more to come. I am already eternally indebted to you for you work and patience here. But, your hint is good enough for me.

Scoutpost said...

Congrats to everybody who got their #16!!

Condolences to those who didn't, I think most of us know what that feels like.

Congrats RevMilo on your set!

I'm leaving with Locke's Secrets, The Crash, The Smoke Monster, my litho of LOST signed by D&C and crew....and lots of cool memories! This has been an awesome ride!

It was really cool to meet Dennis, Patmc, LT, Obfusc8, Anne, RevMilo, Mel, Maven (well I already knew you), Comixguru, Justin, Xanman, Amy, and Lostsailors (I didn't know who you were until afterwards) etc. at the Gallery. I know there were a bunch of people I didn't get to meet. Sorry about that. Thanks for letting Maven save me a spot in line.

Thanks Zort and Dennis for all your work on the blog...it's been so great!

Trying to catch up - just finished uploading all the "live feed" video from the G1988 event to youtube here:

http://www.youtube.com/rightreverendmilo

and for those that prayed to tyson on DCaaPB.com Thank you for the help and please take a moment to post thanks to Tyson and TPTB on DCaaPB.com or tweet thanks including "Tyson" and "#lostarg" to have it appear in the twitter feed.

I plan to email each one of the artists with a link to their review page (I will finish the reviews hopefully this afternoon) on DCaaPB.com so if you want to say something to a specific artist please do so!

Some personal proud moments from the event:

1. Lottery Ticket putting Carlton on hold to give me a hug!

2. Jensen signing my widmore board as "Tyson Givens"

3. meeting 3 of the artists including Misha the artist behind the velvet paintings misha-art.com

4. Talking to Daniel Danger about my blacklight shot of his Jacob's cabin

5. meeting all the Losties that could come

6. Adding the Kirk Demarais - "Linus family portrait" to my collection which also includes his "The Johnsons" (Navin Johnson family portrait from "the Jerk"

7. Talking to Damon and giving him the Fake URL tee, and him liking it!!!

ok I gotta stop before I get to 99...

Is there any full setter who acquired EVERY print just using BUY NOW?

I had to make 2 trades to get the full set, and 1 print was ordered by my helper when I was unavailable, so

I only succeeded with buy now 13 times.

So I am not a full setter that got all by buy now, but that does not faze me, I have been shaking for 10 hours now, and it is a good shaking...

I had my temporary address while im at school but I am going home soon and was hoping someone had successful changed it. If not I am not going to be able to sleep for about a month. I was in too big of a hurry last night to change it.

Thank you all for the thanks for the feed, but I must say it was just as rewarding for me to do it. I could see your comments and chats while I was streaming and it made me feel like I had each and every one of you with me the whole time.

@Chaser: No, I didn't even try for the poster since I had a signed litho version! Thanks for the kind comments about my quilt which got complete with Darlton's signatures! :)

@Zort: So happy you got the last print! And I'm not so stupid to just leave LostArgs now that the poster reveal part is over....I just know you have some more fun up your sleeves! I'm not finished checking in here until you give the official word to transfer over to The Lost Community for discussing Season 6! You and Dennis are awesome Admins and I want to add my deep appreciation and thank you to all you do to keep our community together!

Thanks so much to Zort, Dennis, everyone involved in this site, and all of you! I've had so much fun with this experience, and though I didn't always post much here, I always came here as the "go to place" for the last and most essential information. The site is so well run, user friendly, up to date, and fun! THANK YOU for EVERYTHING!!! :) Looking forward to (and dreading) this last season - and I hope to share it with all of you.

And thanks to Rev for everything he did at the event and throughout this ARG to keep things interesting! ;)

I will echo the other sentiments and say what a great ride it has been. Got some awesome laughs here, learned a bunch about some great people, and the timing of this whole ARG really made the last few months a lot better for me personally.

Thanks to Zort, Dennis etc for maintaining a great site, both aesthetically and psychologically! Perhaps a Dr. Phil type job is in your future, Zort? :)

In case I don't see some of you for a little while, enjoy the holidays and the countdown to what will likely be the best season out of all of them!

ObFuSc8 said...

Hey ARG peeps!

Congrats ReverendMilo! Sorry to hear your flight was delayed and you missed your beautiful little girl's pageant. Just getting a chance now to go back and look at some of your Ustream!

Streaming+tweeting+texting, all while getiing sigs and buying art in a DHARMA jumpsuit=MEGAmultitasking!

I am still trying to learn to function without the parts of my brain that liquefied and oozed out over the last 2 days! I can still barely fathom actually having been at the G1988 event and having met so many intelligent, fun fellow LOST fans.

All of you going through clue withdrawal should keep an eye on Justin's site.

I think I have a lot more to post, but have to let some of this sink in first.

TomRex said...

I managed to squeak out a full set as well. 14 were bought with Buy Now, 1 trade with an extra print and 1 from a group of poster buddies of sort.

I think valentin_108 completed his set last night as well.

I'm really quite overwhelmed. Paired with one of the Damon Carlton and a Polar Bear Print - I don't know what to do with myself.

ReverendMilo said...

Congrats TomRex - I knew you would do it!!!

Unknown said...

So it hit me in the shower this morning...the poster dropped at about 10:44, when the bookmarks added up to 11:52. Which means the missing bookmark was...

-108

How did we miss that?

Oh, and let me publicly thank Jensen and TPTB for everything - I've had so much fun, and it added so much to my overall Lost experience. THANK YOU!!! As I live close to Gallery1988, I plan to visit often! :)

Nice catch Waffle. So are we all thinking the time drop was the time 815 was supposed to land in LA?

Anyone have a screencap of their original boarding pass?

Capcom said...

There might be an image of the boarding pass if the Ajira ARG info from last hiatus is still in the front page archives.

Capcom said...

Oh wait, sorry, you meant 815 not 316. Anyway, I'm sure that we can find one somewhere if it was shown.

Capcom said...

Hey, go to this page, it says 10:42 - OceanicAirlinesSchedule

Yeah, I think they were aiming for 10:42 and were just late.

Yes, I think that Reanimated and Patmc were just trying to narrow it down the a window, not specifically by minutes. But Patmc was right, it was their original scheduled arrival time in LA. I wonder if that's where Ep:1 will begin....an eyeball opens close-up, camera pans back to one of the Losties being jolted awake by the plane landing in LAX. :-)

*will be really interested to see what the hell they do with Walt if there's a reset*

Capcom said...

LOL Reanimated, yeah, a few minutes delay. :o)

Capcom said...

Indeed Amy! Let's hope they hired the best CGIers in the world to insert Walt's tiny self into those new 2004 scenes. :-D They might have some left over scenes in the terminal/plane to use as well, if they don't put Li'l Walt in the front of any new scenarios.

Well, maybe we were missing 2 bookmarks, then. -2 and -108 =P

And I'm curious, does anyone know the approximate sell time for #16?

Callie said...

Er, that is, the sell-out time; how long it took to sell. Not what time it went on sale. Sorry, should have clarified.

If they really did plan this from the beginning, then maybe part of the Pilots big-ass budget was to actually film the landing as well.

This has been so much fun! I ended up with 15/16, including #16. I think I will begin the hunt for my missing poster after the holidays.

I did add to the LOST art collection with Dusty's gig poster and a print by DrMikey called Progress. It depicts the scene from the S5 finale of the Black Rock sailing towards the island.
And Jacob's Dog and The Black Rock Storm by Thomas Hannsz made it to my house as well.

I can't wait for the reveal today/tonight! - I am a dipsy doodle when it comes to converting the time zones.

Thanks to everyone for making this a wonderful experience.

So apparently they only have XS and XL left, and you are allowed 4 shirts max. So I'd have to go back again to get one for everyone who asked so far. :-/ I may do that or I may wait and get a friend to go with me to get more. I think I'll check and see if he can go tonight and just buy them then.

I will pay cost plus $20 for XL please.

@ Team Jack - It's very awesome that you would do that for us Lost fans who are missing out. I hope it isn't causing you too much trouble. I know in my initial comment I listed I needed a Large, but X-Large would do fine if your are indeed able to get your hands on one.

Live together, die alone right?

@ Team Jack - I'd like an XL t-shirt if you plan on heading back. I can paypal you the cost + shipping to NC :)

I thought I didn't get a 16th poster last night, but when I checked my bank account this morning it had a debit of $84 from GOMERCH. I tried contacting customer service but haven't heard back from them yet to verify that I did get one. I never got a confirmation but they took my money! Is that a good sign?

Ok I have some bad news. I was told I could buy 4, maybe more but I had to talk to Jensen. Well he would only sell me 3 when I got here. After that there are only 4 XL left and the rest are XS. Here's the weird part... Apparently they only rec'd 200 and ABC kept the rest. And b/c legal issues they can't sell the rest on Dc&pb.com. So I said "oh I guess that means ABC is putting them on their site for everyone." And he said no. That ABC isn't selling them at all. He's trying to snag 100 more in various sizes but isn't very optimistic. I'm calling him next week after he talks to them again. If there's more I'll get some and let you guys know. Also, I can't go tomorrow because I'll be spending my free birthday at Disneyland pass, yay!! I have a friend that may be able to pick up 3 more but he's not sure, if that fails I'll try Sat as well. I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks for checking for us! Let me know if one becomes available please

It's pretty awesome that you even tried for us like that Team Jack. Mucho thanks.

I found a constant, I just overlooked the variable.

Dear those who buy stuff to sell on eBay at outrageous prices,

You guys suck. You prey upon us honest fans that really just want the art for it's beauty and for it's theme. $1000 for this last print? That's insane, people. Leave the art to those who honestly love it.

To everybody else,

It's been fun watching you over the past month, but mainly staying quiet (how true to life). If you wanna make a deal with a guy who tried to no avail to get a print several times, here I am. I got some napkins from Chicago to trade.

Namaste!

Plaid Lantern (aka, Matt)
