At least I know I won't get a 404 error.

ChrisL said...

Disappointment... no way Zort. Choc-a-block full of memories, just what we needed.

Poisoned Angel said...

ABSOLUTELY no disappointment. How could there be. This collage is perfect.... i couldn't have done a better job myself!

Very neat, Zort. Now, I wish my download would start!

Amy Lynn said...

THAT is awesome. Thank yo u, thank you, thank you!

Zort70 said...

I could have made another one with just the photos from Tuesday !

Tess315 said...

When did you start working on that. Great momento of our time together.

RobPerrin said...

I just took a good long, close-up look. Eyes misting up.

Zort70 said...

I started after about the 4th reveal, didn't know where I was going just had a vague idea.

Eugene said...

Thank you, Zort. This is great. And so sweet. I love it.

ChrisL said...

Is that pic of you trying to chainsaw the tube open Zort. That's hilarious. I felt that way several times until you guys showed me the light!

Ellen B said...

I just did a save as and it worked just fine.

mdogg2481 said...

WOO HOO!

My CC Verification didn't get ERROR 404 this time like Poster 16

It looks great mate, a good way to show people (and remind myself) what I have been through the past 4 months of my life waiting for Season 6

ObFuSc8 said...

AWESOME -- Zort - Jensen Karp will be in Chicago tomorrow -- I'll take him a copy. I don't think I'll have any kind of time to get it printed on canvas, but will see if the fancy hospital printer can help out.

Martyn said...

*Yawn*

Feel a little better now, sore throat gone, thank goodness!

@Zort...

Such an amazing poster and memory of the best online experience of my life. If I have your permission, going to get it printed out somewhere to stick on my wall to look at remember the good times!

@Midday...

Thanks for that, it's the print that made me go for Jacob's Cabin, because someone posted hoping he do one and it was the first picture I saw and thought, WHOA! And believe me, i'm extremely lucky to of got it, was only by chance I went back to the site after it selling out, only to see it back up there.

I would have to agree that DD is my favourite artist out of all the contributors to this project. Amazing stuff. Not a fan of Shepherd Fairey but soooo tempted to buy his Dexter - Power Saw To The People print, it's in my eBay watched items.

@Ben...

Come along, if all the speculations are true and the world ends in 2012, wouldn't you want to go knowing you watched the first episode of the final season before anyone else? Cost me about £830, for everything, flight and the package, it's going to be amazing! Looking forward to meeting all other Lost fans that i've spoken to on theses here forums too.

@Justin...

Figured out your second clue and my mom took one look at the first and solved it for me. I feel so stupid! But must figure out the third clue before it's posted so I look smart!

ChrisL said...

And Rev's Fake URL is on there! LMAO!

Zort70 said...

obFuSc8 - that would be great, I told him I had a surprise for him :-)

Eugene said...

108/300. At last, I got one!

Amy Lynn said...

101!!!

Zort70 said...

Martyn go ahead, it's for everyone to remember things by.

I'll probably have to apologise to a load of people for using photo's / images without permission, but I think most were published either here or on the hub page.

ReverendMilo said...

Awesome Job!! and the pic of Carlton towering over me too!!!

I will try to make it to the paper store this weekend so I can print it big next week (my paper shipment has mysteriously vanished, so off to the art store to try and solve the problem)

ReverendMilo said...

Oh and a TEXAS SIZE TY Zort!!

Zort70 said...

Have you seen your tickets on there Rev ?

Zort70 said...

I even managed to get our other poster onto this poster.

Unknown said...

omg sold out are you serious? and theres already four on ebay.... Anyone want to do a trade? I hate this poster stuff.

RamHatter said...

Nice work Zort! After looking at it, I half expected an F5 key on there. ;) Thanks for your creation and making it available to us.

Martyn said...

Thanks Zort, it's going to go to the spot I saved for Poster 16, but wasn't a fan of it, so your poster takes pride of place! Be proud Zort!

But I got poster number 288/300 yet my order number is 012, how did that happen?

andalone said...

It's just wonderful! Perfect! You have created the cover art to my ARG scrapbook. I think I will have a larger print made as well. Thank you so very much.

The Blot said...

Great job Zort!

This was the least stressful attempt at a print I've had yet!

Unknown said...

Wow zort...great job. definitely going to try to get this one! :P Seriously, thank you for this, and for LostARGs in general.

futureself said...

Great job Zort! Thank you so much for all the hard work you have put into this whole experience.

Laughed my ass off at the Gallery 88 video when Carlton said about calling the gallery to chase all those homeless folk away ;)

Zort70 said...

This is my way of saying thankyou to you all for participating in the site and being such fun people to hang around with.

Ellen B said...

Zort, this is fantastic! Thanks so much. But now I think I'm going to cry. :(

Martyn said...

For UK people, i've found Pixum.co.uk, 24x32 Premium poster paper, silk mat, cost's £20. Much cheaper than Tyler Stout or Dan McCarthy!

Tess315 said...

zort you made it fun.
Glad to be a part of it.

andalone said...

HA HA - TrustMeJustLeaveItBe.com under Rev's fake url. PRICELESS!

ChrisL said...

You? Thanking us? Getouttahere Zort! It's pretty evident from the posts over the past few days just how much folks here have to thank YOU for Zort. I think you have friends for life.

Ellen said...

Thank you so much Zort! What a wonderful treat for those of us who were only able to lurk throughout this adventure...can't tell you how much it means!

ReverendMilo said...

ROFL zort, I am just now catching all the details!

It is a priceless collage that is going to be hanging awaiting explanation by any visitor that dares broach the subject upon a visit to Ft.Awesome!

Amy Lynn said...

Zort, permission to put this on a t-shirt?

MJCarp said...

well done, zort. you know we now have to interview you, get the backstory, delve into the meaning behind it all, what pizza you like, and your favorite LOST moment. lol martyn, want to take this one?

Ob_ thanks for presentation to Mr. Jensen. You are tenacious and fast becoming my favorite super hero.

Zort70 said...

Go for it Amy, I'd be interested to see how it would look on a T

ReverendMilo said...

@ObFuSc8

that is awesome that you get to visit with him again after the cool down.

I have always been curious if he ever visited DCaaPB.com to see my photos.

Mind asking?

Ellen B said...

Amy, if you do that, you can bet there will be others who want one, too! :):)

Martyn said...

LOL, lottery ticket, i'll try my best!

Ugh oh! in to photoshop I go to give it a 5mm border so it doesn't cut the sides off!

Justin said...

Awesome zort!! Great job!

Spy Hill Skates said...

Sold out? Darn it! ;-)

Ellen B said...

I gotta run, got to pick up new glasses and enjoy last night of freedom before the huge snowstorm hits. Night all, thanks Zort, I'll be back tomorrow!!

ReverendMilo said...

@zort I am counting 5 instances of my antics on that poster.

I dont care what this says about me, it is bragging something I am going to brag about.

But I have to say, I am overjoyed to see your "opening the tube picture there!" highlight and motivation for my "ironing of the crash".

Amy Lynn said...

I think the picture might be too hi-res, too many colors for a shirt. CustomInk and Zazzle both turned me down.

Just Thinking said...

My thanks too. Poster 16 was just one big computer error for me, and this makes up for it for sure. Thanks Zort and all you ARGS folks for letting me come over later in the game from LP, and hope you didn't mind that I took your ideas back- many posts with credits there with credit to here! This has been such a great time-the poster is just sweet Zort.

mungonna said...

Magnificent! geesh, i had forgotten the early days of beardo or weirdo,,What a gas that was! All of it,,wow..yea,,you don't play fair Zort. I'm getting choked up here.

MEL

maven said...

Thanks, Zort...just to fabulous for words...but a big THANK YOU for putting all those memories together! I, too, think I'm going to cry! LOL

lora said...

I love it. So how long should it be before I see a tube in my mail?

Amy Lynn said...

I think what's really neat about this whole thing is that while the posters were the background, as is so deftly articulated by Zort's poster, the memories, the friends, the hunting for clues together, THAT is what made this thing really special, and will continue to. I don't think I'll ever hear a Fall Out Boy song without thinking of Rev Milo (sorry, dude).

Sam G said...

Well, that's pretty spectactular.

Unknown said...

Yes - I agree with AmyLynn - it's the people and the shared experience that made this whole thing so special and so fun. Thanks to you all, and thanks Zort for this great poster! I'm going to download it at home this weekend! :)

Scoutpost said...

Oh WOW Zort that's awesome! I have been trying to take care of Christmas stuff and have been feeling VERY Bah Humbug today. This has cheered me up!

I will say...I panicked a little when I saw it- thinking, I had missed it and it had sold out! LOL old habits die hard.

Martyn said...

I'm with you Amy, when I look at all my posters, I look at them and remember how I got them. Best memory for me was trying to get the DD print and going mental, freaking out my gf with my craziness and then her getting the buy now sign on her iPod Touch before I got it on my super fast iMac.

But these posters will long be forgotten about but remembering key moments on this site will always last, it's been a real blast and a true honour to be in the company of such intelligent and talented people.

LONG LIVE LOSTARGS!!!

Martyn said...

Also, do I go canvas or poster for this?

Decisions, Decisions!

mungonna said...

So..like now...I want to go to Hawaii for the preview. There really will be no end to this.

Martyn said...

can't find a decent site to print the poster without cutting parts off or adding huge white gaps at the top

Sandman90 said...

@Zort - excellent poster - thanks for putting it together!

@MEL - You're now infamous, or more so!

@Obfusc8 - Really just completely guessing based on routinely faulty logic. But was I right about specialty?

Forgive me if this has been covered before, but I remember at one time we were talking about some LOST ARGers creating some work. Zort has upped the ante now. I would love to see more of Thorsten's, Capcom's and others (that I can't remember now) works.

maven said...

All the people I have meet here on LostArgs...whether on-line or in person....have made the last few months something I will never forget. I hope friendships made here and on TLC will continue long after this whole thing is over!

I have never experienced something like this for any other show and I seriously doubt that it will ever be repeated!

Theo Montoya said...

Not flippable. Pass.

I've got poster 16 and im trying to find someone to trade for a couple of other posters, let me know robertjhill33@me.com

Claire said...

I agree with everything Maven said!

Thanks so much Zort for all your hard work. You always made a huge effort and are amazing at running this site. I love all the little details on the site and you made every post so much more interesting. The unofficial final poster is so cool and just like a usual poster, I will be scouring it for every little detail.

I'm so happy I met everyone on here too and we'll get through the final season together!

Go Losties!

LostiePat said...

@zort - I love the poster - thank you! I became a part of this community very late in the game, but everyone has made me feel so welcome. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Not a word of lie, so glad I didn't spend my money on the LOST print, to me, this was the 16th frame.

I am also holding one other surprise announcement in my back pocket.

Justin, please post your web link and contact information again. Feeling a bit creative myself.

Wow Zort, that is an amazing souvenir of our poster adventure! I just stopped the virus scan on my dinosaur, so I could check and see if our #17 was up, so glad I did, it made my day too!

Thanks so much Zort for all of your hard work, and for being so patient with everyone's rollercoaster emotions along the way. You should get a job as a mediator, you were great.

And thanks to everyone here for sharing clues, links, artwork, jokes, personal stories, Lost experiences, and opinions. It's been such an engrossing and fun hiatus with you all! xo

I'm looking forward to discussing S6 with you too. I've peeked at a few minor spoilery things, and I can't wait for the wild blog rumpus to start in Feb. :-x

LostiePat said...

Someone in an earlier post (in response to Ellen B) asked if anyone else bought art from G1988.

I am now the proud owner of the KaNo Taweret statue (which I noticed was featured in the CNN footage!). I couldn't believe the piece was still available when I saw it on the G1988 website. I mentioned to Jensen that I'm a LostARG and he said, "So stoked all you guys at LostARGs have been so supportive and into the art show!"

Nice to know we are appreciated. Made my day!

Capcom said...

Neat. :-)

Avondale Blog said...

That's wonderful Zort!

@LT: Don't worry...I'm not going anywhere! LOL

Great poster Zort. So much in there, must have taken ages, when all put together!
Nice large file too - although my comp on dialup blew its foo-foo valve on that one!
Thanks again for all your time spent organising this/us!

Dear Zort,

Thanks for the memories
We got so many clues
So we just followed you
You posted every hint and trail
To lead us to the jewels
How nice of you it was

Thanks for the memories
We nearly lost our minds
Interpretting clues to find
The URL that soon would spell
The poster reveal devine
How crazy it was

Through the ARG you were a true Zen master
The nanny and the airship captain too
When our comments fell into the gutter
You pulled us out
Without a shout

So thanks for the memories
You lost a lot of sleep
But never complained a peep
Your vigilance and fellowship
Gave us memories to keep
We thank you SO much!

Love, your grateful LostARGies XO!

(reposted for typos oops) :o)

Evenin' ARG peeps!

Woo hoo -- just got a call from G1988 -- the #1/300 Darlton signed DD is mine! This means I now have one to trade (I gues of my brother doesn't want it for Xmas). I'll post this at STV as well.

I am thrilled to give Zort's Frame 17 to Jensen tomorrow. So where do you think I could print this out? The hospital printer, fancy as is it is much better with CT scans and MRIs. Ummm, maybe my sis can help in a pinch.

Sandman90 -- Sorry, not an OBGYN, I am an Internist.

comixguru said...

just wanted to stop by to say HELLO!

and Happy Holidays to all here. You have all touched my life and the last several months will be something I will cherish. (and no, i'm not leaving!) :)

Thank you to everyone welcoming me here- and I hope your holidays are peaceful, fun and safe. I will be traveling over the holidays, so my access to the internet will be quite limited- but know that you will all be in my heart and my mind. I will stop in to say a quick hello whenever i can.

Zort- love the collage of memories you have put together for us. I hope to print it up in the new year.

Lotto- you're like our LostARG mom. Thanks for being you.

Maven- we have conquered another reveal together! This one was just a tiny bit more exciting than Rusty's Discount Pet Center. just a smidge...

Rev- i think of you as a brother, my friend.

TKI- I love what you do for the Lost community and am proud to be counted among your ranks.

And so great to been able to meet so many fellow LostARGers at the reveal. Wish we all would have done a group photo together!

Cheers to all and Namaste!

kiwilostie said...

Ob_ WOW! Thats certainly a rare print. Nice one! I wondered if they may be the artists proofs, but its the 1/300?

ObFuSc8 said...

Yeah -- G1988 has all of the Darlton signed #1/300's on the right side of the gallery and they were all available for purchase when we walked in, with proceeds going to the Childrens Defense Fund. Things were a bit chaotic, so as soon as I could get to the purchasing table I put my name next to 5 of the prints -- just in case. They told me Locke's Secret and the Danger were already gone. So I took The Hatch and reserved Smokey and The Polar Bear, thinking one of our group would want them. MEL immediately took The Polar Bear and a while later someone else (sorry not sure who) wanted Smokey, and I figured one was enough for me so said, "go right ahead".

The next morning when w went back to G1988, they told me they may have misspoken and that the Danger may indeed be available so I said I'd take it, if that was the case -- and just got the call! Now, I'll need a Danger doodle to go along with it!

And Rev, of course I'll remind Jensen about your site -- even have it all loaded up on my craptastic new iPhone.

Zort, what an awesomely amazing poster! Now that's Fan Appreciation! I hardly notice the posters in it. It's the people, the clues, all the things that surrounded the poster reveals that make my memories. I'm so grateful to you for putting all of it in one place for me to remember it all.

Like others have said, it's the people here who have made it special. I was late to the party, but I'm glad I at least got a chance to meet some of you!

mungonna said...

Ob8.. Im pretty sure i was sooo swept away by what you said in the cab, that I probably forgot to say a Big THANK YOU for reserving the prints, as you thinking ahead so well, did. So, THANK YOU!! And you got the DD!!! Great! May you have the perfect wall to display it on.

RobPerrin said...

@LotteryTicket - Really looking forward to those interviews. As I posted a few reveals back, it would be really interesting to understand the reactions from those doling out the clues to our attempts to solve them. Hope you are able to talk with some of those folks as well.

Unknown said...

Zort, such a sweet idea :) Love it. Thank you for all your hard work! (And Dennis as well, yes?) Wish I had not come here quite so late, those early frames would have been infinitely better with your company.

Think I finally "get" the idea of live together, die alone. You can accomplish something so much better when you collaborate. It's not about whether you got a limited item or not; it's the memories and connections with other people that endure.

Ob: Hah awesome about the DD! I should have gotten a pic of the huge stack of receipts they had. I'd come see Jensen with you, but he might think we're stalking him. ;)

Apparently I actually took ~200 photos at the gallery, here I was thinking I'd done a terrible job covering but it's still a bit of work. Doing my best!

Ugh, Hawaii . . . don't tempt me, watching Lost with the sound of waves and sand between your toes. Having a snowstorm here tonight.

ObFuSc8 said...

MEL -- Funny, I just read your post on the ABC thread. Thanks for all your kind words, but it's what us LOSTies do -- Live Together Die Alone ;)

Rob, I have started to try to get just that info but I think they may reserve a bunch of that for the G1988 blog and/or DVD extra clip.

ObFuSc8 said...

Anne!!!

Yes, come to Clandestine tomorrow, and bring the plush polar bear with no name! I think Jensen may have caught on that, to an extent, I am indeed stalking him. ;) He tweeted a while ago that this is his first time in falling snow!

Unknown said...

@ObFuSc8: send me an email. princessteacup at gmail dot com

@LotteryTicket: same to you if you are reading this, think you asked about high-rez for the 44th Ward. I saw that we got mentioned by Jensen as his fave reveal! Lostie Last Supper, apparently. (Which means someone got martyred . . .)

@RobPerrin: I do indeed have some and will get them up ASAP - should be in the next half hour. Does your gmail addy really have two "o"s or was that a typo?

There can be no tempting about Hawaii! lol. I was on Oahu in 2007, during season 3 - gorgeous place, great people (including a few friends of mine). I had to give myself the "Lost" tour, don't think anyone was doing it back then; met the tree frog wrangler, though!

Zort, a little while ago I realized why you seemed so familiar to me. You remind me of Kermit the Frog!

Kermit was always having to lead a motley disorganized mob of felt muppets and get them going in a more or less single direction. He was always put upon and looked to for guidance and he sometimes was a little out of his league but he *always* kept a grace, a gentleness, and an equanimity about him. Always very humble, even self-deprecating. Didn't say as much as his compatriots but everybody always listened when he did speak.

The only difference I can see is his fellow muppets didn't always show Kermit how appreciated he was.

I hope you know.

(Oh yeah, plus, he's green and you're not).

Great job with the poster, and a really nice idea!

Cosmically Yours, Zort, from all of us at The Kharma Initiative

Obfusc8,

Deceive, Inveigle, and Obfuscate. That's exactly what I thought of when I first read your name months ago. I learned a lot of new words from The X-Files. Before LOST, that was the only show Mib and I ever watched. She's Scully and I'm a less cool Mulder.

Congratulations on your newest Daniel Danger! Very very happy for you. I'd seen photos of signs that said the Gallery1988 prints were 1/1 - Gallery1988 edition with Damon and Carlton signatures. Are they really the #1 of 300? I'd wondered what the numbering on the prints in the gallery were going to be.

Thanks for passing on the info on the #1 Stout print. It's good to know, although it's for sure out of our price range.

Thanks for the saptastic comment in the previous post. Mib was much impressed by you - smart, cute, and a bit of a bulldog is what she called you - a fine combo. And thanks for posting the links to the video and web article.

Mib and I have family in Chicago. Next time we're there, we should meet up. Email me via blogger profile so we can stay in touch.

Maven, liked seeing the nails too, but so weird seeing my wife's rings on some website. :) And I don't know how but I guessed that quote was from you!

Anne, can't wait to see your photos! And just because I entirely agree with you, I'm going to quote you:

"Think I finally "get" the idea of live together, [or] die alone. You can accomplish something so much better when you collaborate. It's not about whether you got a limited item or not; it's the memories and connections with other people that endure."

Oh, Martyn - have fun in Hawaii!

Cosmically Yours

Wow, Zort, the pictures of the "homeless" is fantastic. In addition to being an extremely congenial mod, you are also VERY talented!
