Frame 12 Clue 3 - 7 X 7 Miles Big 303

The third clue for the 12th frame is posted :

It seems that San Francisco is only 7x7 Miles Big according to this blog

Eugene has also told us about the 49 Mile Scenic Drive in San Francisco and also the website www.7x7.com

Reanimated has found this quote - "The name is pronounced "seven-by-seven" and is derived from the approximate seven miles square making up the City and County of San Francisco."

Justin has sent a map of the 49 Mile Drive and this section shows that it passes right by the Super 7 store.

Anyone received their Swan print yet?

mike29 said...

@Trial - I havent gotten mine yet.

Zort70 said...

I hear Dan McCarthy might be involved soon.

mike29 said...

Zort70 - that was a few weeks ago

Zort70 said...

I haven't heard about the Swan print being received by anyone yet.

@amy lynn
With a little time travel, anything's possible ;)

Zort70 said...

Sorry Mike I was trying a little humour, I'll get my coat :-)

Dan said...

Still waiting on my Swan print as well. As for tomorrow's reveal, I may very well miss it: co-worker's funeral from 10am to ~ 12pm EST, but that's not such a concern if it turns out to be the SF location. I'm a Sabbath observer and thanks to the clock change last week, the Sabbath starts tomorrow at 4:30pm! So, I'm hoping for a SF reveal around opening time...

mike29 said...

FYI - i am sure most of you LOST crazies already know this but Damon Lindelof will be on Sirius Radio channel Howard 101 on Saturday, He is going to be on the Geek Time show with Ralph Cirella. Might be interesting

ZOrt - my bad, I am new here

Eugene said...

Zort - must be the bit of Buffonery you saw the other night. Hope it was a great time.

It's ok Mike, my humour escapes me as well sometimes !

Eugene, yes it was great, geek comedy heaven.

Morning all! It seems a lot of us have the same tastes in tv series: Dexter, MadMen, Modern Family, Fringe, Glee, FastForward, and (possibly) V. All of these are very well-done and entertaining and even thought provoking...but nothing in the league of LOST! I don't have to get on-line immediately after watching one of the shows to get in on a discussion of what the heck it all means! I just watch them, enjoy them, and wait for the next episode. I don't spend all week on blogs reading re-caps, analyzing every nuance trying to fit in the latest revelations into the overall mythology. Only LOST has done that for me!

reAnimated said...

@maven - LOST does take the cake. I have begiun to really enjoy TrueBlood as well, and Dexter of course. V had a pretty strong opening I think, but I was a fan of the old version as well. FFwd is OK, but its not gripping me that much.

Capcom said...

'Morning Argies! BTW, Go Yankees!!!

Martyn, if you have children, don't watch Mad Men with them in the room. Just sayin'. :-o I also "lived" Mad Men, I was Sally's age then. But my dad worked for the space program in CA and we were the middle-class lifestyle.

Casey, definitley checkout the X-Files! At this point, some DVDs are now set up so that you can watch only the alien mythology episodes, or, all of them with the stand-alones in order. If you weren't paranoid before, you will be after watching the Files. This current H1N1 vaccination thing reminds me of the treatment of vaccinations on the X-Files. Also, watch the first Files movie (in order between the proper seasons) it's great, but watching the second movie is not necessary.

Hey Jo! :-D

Dan said...

Remember when people were saying "Heroes" does right was "Lost" keeps getting wrong? HA! My, how the tables have turned....

Capcom said...

Heh, yeah, Heroes. My head can't get into the story at all, but my eyes like to watch it, so I still try to catch every ep. I really like Hiro and Noah, but that's about it.

Dan said...

"Kill The Cheerleader - Save The Show (maybe)"

Heroes should have ended after season one ;))

Hi all! I'm new on the twitter thing. I'm following Lottery Ticket & Jopinionated, but I don't know how to follow Lottery's list. I know it's probably something easy, but I am tech challenged as I have mentioned here before:) Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Ginger said...

Oh, one more question, how can I have a follower on Twitter if I've never tweeted anything? I'm getting paranoid. Someone is following me!

(n) said...

still waiting on my Swan Station print

Unknown said...

@Capcom - I will most definitely have to check it out! I'm excited.

maven said...

Ginger: I'm fairly new to twitter, too. I'll try to answer your questions. If you go to Lottery Ticket's profile on Twitter there's a list of "lists" on the right hand column. Just click on the Frame 12 one and follow that. That way you get everyone in one place! Also, people start following you if you do not set your tweets to private...in other words you need to approve people before they can follow you. If it's public, anyone can follow you. (This happened to me in the beginning...I tweeted something about my quilting, and the next thing you knew I had all these quilting shops following me!)

Ellen said...

@Capcom -- I also love Mad Men. I was in high school during the years depicted, and remember vividly the historical events, and the clothes. Women even wore girdles then! Still haven't watched this week's episode. I know it's very emotional, as they all seem to be this season.

jeremy said...

morning all (or afternoon, or evening depending on your location around the world)

I know I've mentioned it before, but I just want to reiterate that I WILL be present at the reveal, and twittering away as best as I can, barring an act of God or something.

I'm even planning on taking the (slightly) longer way, just in case the bay bridge breaks again.

For those who would like to follow me for the reveal I'm @busparking
I currently have it set up as private, so if your twitter name is different from you name here, or you're a lurker and want to "prove your worth" (j/k) email at busparking [at] gmail

I have a ton of work I need to get done in preparation for the reveal tomorrow, so you won't see much of me, but feel free to spread my info around.

Ginger said...

Thanks for the info Maven! I'll give it a try now.

MiddayShadows said...

Hi all - It's good to hear about people's tastes beyond the LOST-verse. Glad to hear a lot of you are also appreciating Mad Men. I continue to be impressed with it on all levels. I've enjoyed watch it grow since the first season, adding layers of subtlety to the writing, and not relying solely on its art direction and nostalgia. The creator, Matt Weiner was involved with the Sopranos, and it's good to see him approaching that level of excellence on another show. HBO is surely kicking themselves for turning it down.

comixguru said...

Amy Lynn- I think he's dead. but i guess in LOST, you never really know who's dead. Except that dead is dead. huh? mmm...

LotteryTicket- safe travels! seems your prayer to Tyson to hold off the reveal until friday has worked! :)

Good morning all!!!

Capcom said...

LOL Dan. X-D

Neat, Ellen. I thought that they delt with the Kennedy event too much in this ep, see what you think when you watch it. At this point, we've all seen everything there is to know about what happened and how it affected us (especially if one watches the History channel at all!), and except for one big "development" the story doesn't advance very much this ep. I mostly watch Mad Men for all the retro designs, I SO want Pete's apartment.

Good luck Jeremy!

Ginger said...

OK! I think I have the twitter thing figured out. Thanks again Maven.

Ginger said...

Oh, and I guess I should say I am LostGingerAle on twitter. No need to follow me because I'm not tweeting anything, just following along for reveals. Thanks.

@jeremy:

Sent you a request on twitter :)

Just pre-ordered by Faraday, Dr. Pierre Change and Richard Alpert bobbleheads. Not available until Jan. 10th.

I'm @bonniejgreen on twitter. I sent you request, too Jeremy. I'll send one to you, too, Ginger!

Capcom said...

Thanks for sharing Maven! I'll be getting a Faraday bobblehead! Heck, who needs artwork and end-of-show auctions when we can get bobbleheads. :o)

Zort70 said...

I arrived home tonight to find a Widmore Publishing comic backing board waiting on my doorstep :-)

A huge thanks to LostGeekGlasgow for sending it.

Right I'm off to a bonfire party, so expect a clue anytime soon.

Capcom said...

That's great Zort, and very nice LGG!

Haha, yes it's bonfire night! Have fun.

Dan said...

@Zort - with or without the strange "watermark" shown on DCaaPB? :)

comixguru said...

LotteryTicket- hope you are having safe travels today!

Some of my favorite TV shows past and present: LOST (of course!), Alias (seasons 1,2 and some of 3), The Shield, The Closer, 24, The Office (BBC and US), Flight of the Conchords, Modern Family, So You Think You Can Dance, Battlestar Galactica, Breaking Bad, Dexter, The Wire, 30 Rock, The Mentalist, The Good Wife, Grey's Anatomy (but the quality is so hit and miss with that show), Fringe (still trying to finish season 1), Flash Forward (still hoping it gets better), V (looks promising), Arrested Development... there's probably more shows that i'm forgetting...

I watch a lot of TV. :)

Dan said...

@Ellen - you must watch last week's MM episode immediately! It was amazing and a superb buildup for the season finale on Sunday!

comixguru said...

ah yes, i forgot Mad Men. I find that MM is a show that I watch, but am not totally engrossed in. Even though the characters are very richly developed and the design is great.

hobbit said...

Jeremy, I sent a twitter request too. Same name just with an "irish" at the beginning. Thanks!

Ginger said...

So if the new clue posts about the same time as yesterday we should see it in about 2 hours, right?
@ Tyson - You know Zort is out, so really you could go ahead and give it to us now:)

Ginger said...

@ Maven - I think I requested to follow you on twitter:)

I would love to see what a comic book artist could do with one of these posters. Damon is working in that realm now... maybe he's got some connections. I would love to see someone like Bill Sinkovich get their hands on a Lost theme.

You all forgot to mention Breaking Bad. Brian Cranston is absolutely riveting! Talk about versatile... he was brilliantly funny as the father in "Malcom in the Middle", and now brilliant as a terminally ill man trying to help his family survive at any cost. My wife and I are completely hooked!

comixguru said...

Patmc, i love Breaking Bad!!!! :) soooo awesome. still catching on the 2nd season.

Ginger said...

Man, I wish I had cable:( I guess I'll have to check out the DVDs someday. Getting a lot of good suggestions for future viewing here today:)

Ginger said...

Thanks Maven!

Pat, it's actually Bill Sienkiewicz and yeah, he's an awesome artist. love to see his interpretation.

Justin - Thanks for the correction... I can never remember how to spell his name... LOL!

Yea! good time for me. Feeling better, I think my typing fingers will be back to normal speed tomorrow. ;)

Now I just have to remember that DST is over, and refigure what time it is everywhere compared to AZ. CA is an hour behind AZ now instead of the same time.

Talk to you guys later. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Ugh - no dual reveal. DANGIT! Look forward to the poster...

Sandman90 said...

WOW! I had no idea that when a couple of us were tossing around comments last night about other television interests that it would become this burgeoning conversation. Really fantastic to see what everyone is watching.
To be honest, the older I get, the harder it is for a show to really captivate me. I couldn't afford the time for another love affair like LOST. The other thing that makes me wary is early cancellation before a show can wrap up properly (i.e. Firefly). I will have to say that they very succinctly and interestingly wrapped up "Life on Mars", another decent show of late.

Need another clue! Is it entirely improbable that a Saturday reveal could take place?

thorsten said...

Tyson just waited for Zort to leave the building ;))

REVEAL TIME UP

Zort70 said...

Hi all, just checking in after the fireworks and a new clue is posted, so NEW POST.

Unknown said...

Hey guys,

I just found out that some friends I know made a LOST music video. It's called We Like LOST! It's a parody of We Like Sports from The Lonely Island. Check it out, as a die hard LOST fan I think its pretty awesome. Let em know what you think:) If you like it post it around some other LOST blogs, I only know of a few.

-Chris

P.S. Can't wait for the next poster:)

Unknown said...

So this is my first time being on time for a reveal, I stumbled upon the Crash by chance. I was wondering how the Reveal actually worked.
At 12pm tomorrow they will reveal the website and immediately you can try to purchase a print?

Or is their a delay between the reveal of the website and the time you can order?

I'm trying to prepare in advance.

Unknown said...

Justin said...

Casey, there's usually a 20 or so min delay. The posters have been selling out in about 2 min or less though, so you'll need to be super quick once the site goes live.

Unknown said...

Thanks a bunch Jason.

Justin said...

haha it's Justin. no problem

Justin, I am terribly sorry.

How embarassing. I was even looking at your name as I typed.
