Frame 12 Clue 1 - Super 7 365

While I was watching John Barrowman in La Cage Aux Folles, Tyson decided that it was time for a new clue.

From the comments Amy Lynn was the first to tell us about it and to mention super7store.com/ as a potential link given the "Super" clue from the first purchaser letter.

There is also www.super7florida.com/ which has orange and black colours and the person in the first picture on this page of Halloween has what looks like ARG on the shirt. Thanks to LOSTnSC and ReverendMilo for the information.

AF wrote in the comments - Twitter for Super7 Florida (http://twitter.com/super7_florida) says:

"Thank you to everyone who made it out to the Halloween Bash on Saturday! It was a great turnout and noone got lost, this time."

This time? That doesn't seem like a coincidence...

Then DragonManagement has emailed the Super7 store and got this reply -

E-mail from Scott Dias, owner of Super7 in St. Pete:
"And as far as LOST is concerned, I can neither confirm nor deny any S7 involvement at this time. :)
Cheers!
-Scott Dias"

There is another potential link in the 7TV Channel in Australia which has a 7Two channel that has the colours orange and black. (thanks ScottPhillip)

There may also be a little something in the Widmore Publishing Board for the previous reveal, but more on that later.

G'morning, All! Trying to catch-up on all the comments. xoxo

thorsten said...

Hi Eugene! With Zort in Bletchley Park, Tyson has to drop the other shoe soon ;))

Dan said...

Dan the other thing is that there are 5 words with spaces, so there are all sorts of meanings to the "mistakes".

@Zort - I'm not seeing any other spaces in any of the words except for "s taying" and "a s". Are you sure?

Eugene said...

When Zort's away
Tyson will play

Capcom said...

Heheh, it took me a minute but I finally got it Thorsten! :o)

LOL Amy, a litany of everyone's "S.O.B.s", much like Homer's "D'oh!s"

Thorsten, how is everyone finding all your other pix?! I'm such a dolt, I tried backing up on the site but get nowhere. :-( Do you have a Lost pic list? Tx.

dusty said...

OT - Will you all be watching "V", or have you started watching Flash Forward? Not sure what I think about Flash Forward yet.

Capcom said...

I watch FF and am still waiting to get hooked, but am hopeful. Not liking Mark's whining to Penneh though, he's gonna drive her into the other guy's arms. :-(

I'll be checking out V.

thorsten said...

@capcom…

just mail me, same cypher!

adam_keller said...

If the reveal is in FL, which is a good chance, I know a number of people in the Tampa/St. Pete area, and will be contacting them

Unknown said...

The SyFy channel here in the states has been showing the original V series/mini-series over the past few days. I'll just say the special fx didn't age well. I'm expecting good things with the new show!

justanothersky said...

First a Hello to all the new members here. :)

Second, not sure if that's been mentioned before but after looking at super7florida's photos posted on August 29, I think the person in the first Halloween pic with a t-shirt printed with "ARG..." is very possibly the store's owner.

He's the only one who's wearing a Super7 t-shirt there cutting the first cake, picking a raffle & other "hosting" stuffs on August 29.

Capcom said...

Copy that Thorsten. :o)

Hey all, to check out where Zort's event is (or is about), check here:

http://www.bletchleypark.org.uk/

Pretty neat.

dusty said...

@Thorsten - "email, dusty!
;))" Email who??

Capcom said...

Right Tabula, the original V SFX seem rather homegrown at this point in time don't they? I've been watching it too. X-D

thorsten said...

…dusty, I was only joking, instead of twittering the URL to the whole planet, just mail it to me ;))

dusty said...

Gotcha - that means I'll post the link in the active comments thread. Really hope it's Florida...

Hi all...just popping in to say HI.

"V" day today!!

The email reply from Super7 that Dragon got is probably as close to a confirmation as we'll get -- with the "LOST" and :) included. Who/where are we emailing about the expected Super7 reveal? I would fly to St. Petersburg if I already have the day off just for the reveal since it looks like Tyson does not want to grace the midwest with a local reveal.

Thorsten will come back tonight when done with work and look at your ideas. I like the idea of our own poster series and would be willing to contribute funding for the same.

Mappy said...

I am hoping for a Chicago reveal with the Jay Ryan print since he's based outside Chicago, then I can play along!

CL said...

Assuming the reveal is at Super7 St. Pete, I'm going to take a guess on the freebie:

Super7 vinyl toy with the url

Amy Lynn said...

FYI, we're at about 24 hours since the red 7 went up.

comixguru said...

Is there a reason why we think the reveal will be at the Florida Super7 vs. the San Fran Super7?

dusty said...

@comixguru - site colors black & orange, the blog pic of the owner wearing a shirt showing ARG, and an email response from the owner that was non-committal either way and spelled LOST with caps, indicating he's a fan.

dusty said...

All speculative - oh, and I really want it to be in St Pete.

justanothersky said...

Gotta say I envy all those who could attend a reveal. :)

dusty said...

Hey guys - I'm thinking of starting a LOST Fan Art gallery, maybe even following a similar clue structure. Would love to do 1 release per week during Season 6. After seeing all of these scenes/ideas, there is no way to cover them all. What are your thoughts?

dusty said...

We've obviously got some designers in the group, I can design on occasionally, and would really love to put something like this together.

thorsten said...

@ObFuSc8…
Have fun at work, see you later!

@Amy…
just keep hitting F5 on the hub, Tyson just returned from Starbucks ;)

Amy Lynn said...

Dear Tyson, where be my triple chai latte?

Dan said...

Wouldn't there be intellectual property issues with artists selling "LOST"-themed art?

Amy Lynn said...

Probably, but the LOST sites have been using content from ABC for years, and don't have a problem.

dusty said...

By the fans for the fans? And it's art - no freedom of speech there? Not sure how that works...

dusty said...

very true - LostARGs for example...

Amy Lynn said...

And LostPedia, DocArzt, SL-Lost, Lostaholics, etc.

Congested said...

Dusty. That sounds good. Chris Oatley has done some fan artwork and made posters out of it. I won one in a Lost trivia competition on the cranky fanatic podcast. His site is http://www.chrisoatley.com/

I'm sure there are other talented artists who are lost fans... It'd just be.a matter of organizing them in 2 months. Probably a lot of work, but could be very cool.

adam_keller said...

Just wanted to stop by, and say hello. adam_keller, will be here, at a real community, from now on.

Amy Lynn said...

Welcome adam.

Trial Attorneys said...

I am going to St. Pete as long as the reveal is on Thursday or Friday - or tomorrow for that fact - but I can't go if it's on Saturday or Sunday. My twitter account is @james_frazier

Dusty said...

Welcome Adam!

adam_keller said...

Thanks Amy, very glad to be here

adam_keller said...

Thanks Dusty!

dusty said...

I will be in St Pete if it is Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Let's go St. Pete!!

adam_keller said...

My brother is in Gainesville, about 2.5 hours north east of St. Pete, and a friend of mine from Gville is going to St. Pete this weekend. When we have definite confirmation of a St. Pete reveal, I will let them know and they will be there too.

Amy Lynn said...

Someone should call the St. Pete store and tell them that you're coming to the LOST event on Saturday, and you need driving directions. Then see if they correct you on the date.

Eugene said...

I just can't get over how you guys find someone for every reveal!

LOSTnSC said...

Ok, I really want it to be in St. Pete on Saturday, but the 8.5 hour drive each way would be taxing. Decisions, decisions...

disney said...

Back to the fan art conversation - what about opening it up to anyone who wants to design. We'll have themed weeks - for example Week 1 would be "The Incident". Artists must submit their work by X-date, and then we lead up to the reveal of the fan art. We could make it for sale, slide scale it, the artist gets a portion and charity gets a portion. Thoughts?? Really think this could be a great fan extension of something that's obviously struck a chord with so many people.

dusty said...

Done - Amy, what's the URL for their store, and/or number?

I'll be there if it's Thurs. or Fri.

dusty said...

Paraphrasing: "Super7, you're on the right track. We found out about it awhile ago, but we don't know yet if it will be .. uh, how do I say this .. here or at the San Fran store. I think we ... uh ... the guy who could tell you isn't, well, he wouldn't know until tomorrow."

Amy Lynn said...

Hehehe. Did you get a name?

dusty said...

At first when I asked, he said let me check, then came back and danced around the answer quite a bit - a few minute conversation.

Mrs Z said...

@Amy - I bet it's Chris. :)

dusty said...

Didn't want to post the name in case of any backlash - real nice guy.

Amy Lynn said...

Chris quit his job in Glasgow and moved to St. Pete!

dusty said...

Well, I'll definitely be there. And I'm all over this fan art idea. Would love to gather some input from you all as to whether its worth pursuing.

adam_keller said...

Nicely done Dusty

Ginger said...

That's awesome Dusty!

knightsintodreams said...

fan art would be an awesome idea Dusty~!! i think Disney's idea of a theme week is neat as well. there's a girl named Buuya on deviant art who is a huge LOST fan and always does these amazing pictures/paintings. she's really good. if you set something up, you should try to get her in on it ^o^

http://buuya.deviantart.com/

dusty said...

We are a devious bunch - pretty incredible the amount of dedication this show has developed in its fan base, no? Looking forward to the reveal - pray it's in Florida and not in San Fran. A simultaneous reveal in both locations would be cool... Either way...

disney said...

"disney" was actually me - mistyped. So far we have this Chris fellow and Buuya. If we get enough interest, I'll get this set up. Could be very very cool.

dusty said...

did it again... sorry...

disney = dusty mistyping... I'm done now

Trial Attorneys said...

Last week, before the 'Walt's' reveal, I suggested that the Black Rock would be a great one, and suggested that Daniel Danger would be perfect for the subject, stylistically
electrachrome supplied the Daniel Danger-esque colour wash:

I seen that and really liked it.

I've been watching Flash Forward too. I like it but it seems to be lacking something. Not sure what maybe the tempo or emotional attachment to the characters.

I actually really like the Forgotten which has been rumored to be on the bubble for cancelation (of course) Looking forward to watching V tonight. That's probably when Tyson will give us the next clue.

dusty said...

Geekboy - I'll add you to the list of our fan art artists! And take it easy on me guys - vacation planning for some family has Disney on the brain!

ReverendMilo said...

Really trying hard to catch up on all the comments here. I've been working a lot and working on a xmas present for my girlfriend, seeing as the chances of their being her favourite scene are slim.

Basically, I've made a Photoshop The Constant telephone call picture which i'm going to put on to a canvas. I don't understand the logistics of it but it cost £10 and an easy process.

Really hope it impresses Lost fans, especially Thorsten after seeing some of your interpretations. I'm pretty much a learner in Photoshop, which would explain my glee.

Cheers Thorsten, reading yours and Reverand Milos discussion on the breakdown of the 7 clue the other day made me realise how little I knew about photoshop and made me wonder how I got through Uni.

I agree with Attorney Greg, you guys are ridiculously fast at solving these clues, no wonder most of you can get a poster in 17 seconds.

I think i'll just sit back and take the role of Tea & Coffee boy.

So either a single store reveal at just St. Pete's or another bicostal event?

dusty said...

I think I forgot to mention earlier, when I called the St Pete Super7 store, he definitely ended up giving directions, wanted to make sure I knew how to get there... My vote's for St. Pete at least.

booneboy said...

New to the lostargs, though I have been following for awhile. Just received my Transmission poster yesterday and I couldn't be happier.

I wanted to post that the number of letters in each of the words is 9, 11 and 6. Could mean a 9am reveal on 11/6....

Amy Lynn said...

The FL store doesn't open until 11am.

MJCarp said...

Let's plan on bi-coastal since we have history. So, start shouting out if you are in the SF area and available, need your Tweeter call.

St. Pete peeps, too.

I know a lot of you are hoping for Thursday, but I have to say that would be majorly bad for me. Been sweating this one out and sure enough looks like I'll be airborne. So I'll have to send prayer for Wednesday or Friday. But my money on Thursday.

Fascinating - another U.S. coastal/bicoastal reveal site. How original.

Anonymous said...

I think locations are based more on the basis of contacts and connections within the infrastructure of this ARGs producers/associates. As we have had some non-U.S. reveals, I wouldn't get my hopes up about specific sites within the U.S. While everyone would like a close reveal, our regional sense of pride arificially elevates our expectations. Let's face it, these folks are from the coasts and that's what they know.
