I wish I was enuf of a Techno-geek to know if Bites per second is being played here. Basically, I'm using a system that is very powerful, and have been successful with ,and I get booted before the print even goes BUY NOW...like..What the heck is up with that? I was afraid of new monkey wrench,,apparently I have met it.

Oh well,, the print is a decent work..could have been more menacing for the Poop In Your Pants moment being presented, Some one mentioned a dog..thats funny...even tho dogs and bears share a common ancestor way back when. But the juxtaposition of tropical grass with Arctic polar bear gets the message across. The beer cans,,???..maybe some one has a booze problem,,like ,,a polar bear in the grass...??

MEL The next Twitter picture is for you. I am sad about you experience. Ob8 and I wish you were here too.

LostiePat said...

How cool that LT and others could be in Chicago for the reveal - thanks for all the great photos!

kiwilostie said...

MEL, yeah I honestly thought - in my adrenaline fuelled shakes - that it was Vincent for a very short moment!
I got booted right at the time (Im guessing here)that they took down the Soon, and put up the Buy page.
"Fobidden". Its sounds so authoritarian! Im no webmaster but think thats what that bit was for me.

Just Thinking said...

Very sweet LT- both ways.

Orchid7 said...

LT for MEL..yum and whats next to it looks pretty good as well ;)

LostiePat said...

@Sam G - thanks for the poster image - my new screensaver :-)

mungonna said...

..oh well..i can't find the link to Lottos twitter,,anybody got it or kno where it is?...seriously...

lostsailors said...

@kiwilostie: A vincent poster would have been amazing! Haha.

I also got the 403 Forbidden error a few times. Instead of refreshing the same window, I just opened a new one and brought up the page with the buy button. It seems whenever the buy button goes live there's always (at least from the ones I've seen) a little funniness, where the page loads white or gives 403 or 404 errors. I don't know why that is exactly.

Not good at linking- but here it is-

No luck. Again. Surprise, surprise.

At this point I'm really glad this thing is pretty much over. Gotten my hopes up too many times in the past few weeks, only to get shut out every time. Something really great turned into constant frustration over the past month.

That's exactly what I was waiting for. Grilled Cheesecake, now....how did it taste?

Just Thinking said...

That's LT's picture for MEL- and yes- she says heart attack inducing.

You're Welcome LostiePat

Matt said...

Anyone interested in trading a Daniel Danger for this one?

Just Thinking said...

I am watching Meg Ryan in Kate and Leopold where she is just about to jump from the future to live her future in the past. Oh- Lost is everywhere.

Cristina Roswell said...

No...but I´m interested in buying it if you wanna sell it for retail or retail +$20 or 30 :)

mungonna said...

..I am there in.." spirit". and I hope the spirits are flyin by now!
Oh BOY!,,i feel much better.

Thanks for the link guys and gals..a bridge to Chicago was made. Beauty!

Dan said...

Lproduction- just sent you an e-mail about Ben.

Dan said...

In the alternative, I'd be willing to trade my Swan Station for Ben.

LostiePat said...

I just counted 7 Polar Bear Prints on e-bay!

bryan said...

i just got this poster. does anyone have a ben poster that they would like to trade for it? or maybe another poster...i'll consider anything. please email to rockergamer06@gmail.com and we'll talk!

OK. That's a wrap! 10 o'clock here in the Windy City. Great turn out, good food, great company. 44th Ward Dinner Party great host to crazy LOST fans. Owner, Scott was asked a lot of questions but revealed little - translated that as "not zero", more later.

Ob_FuSc8 and I are enjoying a last drink and then moving to coffee shoppe on the corner.

However, two tables over is set for 'special guest. Champagne on ice! Who? We'll never know. Because frankly, 4.5 hours in one place is the limit!

Unknown said...

is it just me or is this arg closing off with some...different we'll say frames lol, they should have released the hatch or smoke monster or jacobs cabin or the crash as the final 4 it would have been great

lostsailors said...

Bye bye LotteryTicket! Thank you so much for the pictures, that looked like a great time.

Amy Lynn said...

Really great job, Chicago fans.

I guess my disappointment stems mostly from the fact
that we have already had a polar bear print, and so many great moments were left out.

I have been way offline for two days now with the holiday, and with an insane amount of tax work even during the holiday.

I took the little one to Yo Gabba Gabba live (Paul S. did not show up though)

The reveal happened while I was fighting my way out of the parking garage from the event, so I called my friend and she managed to get me #2788.

She told me she had one sql error and then still got the order through.

I have tons of reading up to catch on, but I want to say I am so glad that LT got to go, she prayed for an event to go to, and got it. And her men at home some through for her too.

LT my warmest congrats, I look forward to trying to catch back up on your reveal coverage.

OK muscle relaxor and bath time, I had a 35 lb monkey on my back or shoulders for hours and I feel every pound and minute of it.

Congrats to all that found success, and my sympathy to those that missed.

night night

If anyone wants to sell, I am willing to buy at the right price. Email me at frazierfirm@gmail.com Congrats to those who got it today, I was on the road coming back from UF destroying FSU.

maven said...

LT and others: Sounds like LOSTie heaven! Other reveals were over in minutes...and you guys made a whole evening of it! Thanks again for all your hard work and efforts and so happy you got to partake of a reveal!

(How many napkins did you guys grab? Wouldn't mind one!)

Just Thinking said...

Amy- maybe Bear got place at the end due to D,C, & POLAR BEAR.COM.

Unknown said...

i wonder how they determine the order of the posters. any ideas?

LostiePat said...

@Trial Attorneys - I feel your pain if you are FSU fan. Sorry you missed all the ARG fun earlier today

I'm glad that they included a polar bear print--I thought that they might skip it because it was included in the DCaaPB painting that started it all, but I think that a polar bear on a tropical island remains one of the iconic images of Lost and it deserves a poster. It's a nice way to celebrate the entire series of prints, assuming this is the last of the standard entries. Can't wait to see what next week has in store...

kiwilostie said...

Yes, now we await the mysterious red Q-mark. Wonder how that will pan out?
Im still hungry for a triple grilled cheese samich!

Unknown said...

if anyone who went to the reveal and got some yummy grilled cheese and desert, happened to grab some extra Lost swag napkins and would be willing to part with one or two, let me know. I'd gladly pay for shipping

Was at a bar with some of the family watching a game, which didn't go so well.. we made it in to Starbucks at 6:30, ordered some tea, refreshed for 20 min and nabbed the poster no problem via the wifi in Starbucks.

275x & it went more smoothly for me than the last three posters. Hope it goes better next week for some of those that missed out. :/

I'm still not happy that they did this during a holiday weekend, I figured I wouldn't be able to buy it, though in the end it worked out without interrupting any plans. :D

Congested said...

Oh I was watching the FSU game also. :(

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes and concern. I am home and beginning recovery. I don't know what it says about my priorities that on way to ER last night, all I could think about was finding a poster buddy...I have rearranged my life for these reveals, and a partially severed foot was not going to stand in my way. Many hours of waiting (10 before I was even treated...never go to ER on holiday weekend!), many stitches, future surgery to repair cut tendons and so on...it is safe to say that a hit TV drama will never be made based on the ERs in my area. Thanks to comixguru for assisting me in acquiring the poster tonight. I was able to log on a little while ago and see what I missed. This community and LOST fans are the greatest. I am so happy to be a part of it.

lostsailors said...

Andalone, I am glad you are ok! Omg, a severed foot- what happened? (If I may ask).

I am glad friends could help you get a nice get-well present. Be safe and strong!

andalone said...

@lostsailors - accident involving sushi knife and velocity = big mess.

lostsailors said...

Oh my dear lord!

Again, all my wishes for recovery!

maven said...

Dear andalone...how awful this must have been! Hope there is no permanent damage! What a true LOSTie you are...arranging a poster buddy and getting 23 stitches! Get well soon!

Rorschach said...

@andalone
glad you are OK (well relatively OK) but the 2 descriptions I have seen of your injury were worded hilariously. "sushi knife and velocity = big mess." and (not exact quote) "23 stitches, at least it is one of the numbers."
Was it a dropped knife or do you moonlight as an action hero?

andalone said...

@Rorschach - The knife was improperly stored by a former member of my household, and fell from the top shelf of a little-used upper cabinet directly into the top of my foot - blade in. You would be amazed at the speed a knife picks up in a 8-9 foot fall.

Just Thinking said...

Yikes! Well, you will go down in poster history if that helps at all.

andalone said...

Just glad I could provide a little extra drama for a reveal...(like we need any more drama for a reveal!)

Thanks again for all the well wishes and concern.

A Chicago reveal and EB, who lives in Chicago, was with me in Lansing eating a belated Thanksgiving! How cruel!

I would like to report that my Hatch print is back from the framers and proudly hanging on my wall (pics soon), EB is in possession of her Jacobs Cabin print. All is well with the world.

And now for the enigmatic red frame...

Sandman90 said...

Still looking for someone to part with this one for a fair price. The ugly head of the 4-day holiday weekend call has bereaved me of my energy, family fun, and now a Polar Bear print. And yes, that bear looks hammered - he'd blow at least a 0.3 breathalizer...comatose for most.

MJCarp said...

andalone, 'all I could think about was finding a poster buddy" needs to get on a teefury right now! You sound in good spirits.

I'm back tracking through comments. Thanks to everyone who followed and sent good thoughts. Drove like a possessed LOST fan. It all goes by so quickly. Best moment - the huddled masses trying to purchase print, all failed. It has to be seen to be believed. And valentin_108 calmly purchasing one iPhone. Bing! goes my phone. "I got one" reads the message from son back home.

Met so many nice Lost folks. Forgive me if I can't remember names, @Ob_FuSc8 who did the ground work for the reveal and is now My Excellent Adventure Friend 4ever, her sister and friend, Tim @unlocke and his lovely wife, @valenin_108 and friend who drove 6+ hours to this reveal and who drove back 6+ hours home, Darrel and Beth first in line!, jonnywest, Brady and Jessica (who took photos while we refreshed) and friend (sorry I did not get your name) (How was Medieval Village?), Scott, Mike, the nice parents-of-Lost-fan unable to attend, and Anne, one our newest to lostarg and her parents who graciously put up with my LOST theories.

LT, thats awesome! Thanks heaps for the updates, and soooo glad you got a reveal close to home. Makes my heart glad. And to meet some people youve known 'electronically' just tops it off. Amazing. Awesome. Fantastic. Fun. Jealous!

ObFuSc8 said...

Hey ARGers!

Sorry to all of you, like me, missed out on this one and congrats to those who got one!

I am back home myself -- what fun! Actually meeting other LOSTies, somewhere besides the virtual realm. Have sent Steve a quick thanks -- this was the best turnout at a reveal yet.

Can't wait to see what's up with the red question mark -- it seemed so far off, but now we are there.

Sometimes I really wish I didn't have to sleep, I could be sooooo much more productive that way. But alas, at some point will have to catch at least a couple winks for work again tomorrow.

I'll get the Frame 14 Swag giveaway done after I get home, sorry for the delay, but I freaked out a little with a hometown reveal.

Got home from the reveal to a totally bonkers dog. Sharing my photos, though I committed some serious Failtography and apologize D: I will take a high-rez of the napkin! ObFuSc8 and LT will have to let me know if they want to be removed from the intarweb.
http://bit.ly/4Ih1GR

I also failed to get a print, really liked this one too. Instead of the final screen I got booted and came back to a sold out; was a bit crushed, I admit to public swearing. :X

The good news is, the FRIES WERE AMAZING. Oh yes, and the company. :)

lostsailors said...

Those pictures are so cute!

I was boring and just fluttered around my computer the entire day. It looks like you had such a lovely time. Yey Chicago reveal team!

ObFuSc8 said...

Anne, in general HATE any pics of myself but would sacrifice for this reveal!

When you're done, I'd like to send Steve (the owner of The Ward) a few pics for his site and FB, if that's OK with you.

kiwilostie said...

Ob, LT, Anne, and all the others there - thanks a bunch. I must say, this was the best reveal so far, by a long way.

Roxanna said...

Thank you LT, obfusc8, anne, and everyone else that was there tonight!

Anne Shine_blitz_on - THOSE are the great photos that I was counting on! Beautiful. Now we can see how lovely place is 44th Ward DP.

counted 21 prints purchased from this group :(

If I missed you can post at SpoilerTV DarkUFO/ARG thread your order # and print #s. Update will delayed until Sunday p.m.

I'm glad they did. It's not a holiday over here, and changing the times and dates up so more people around the world can get the poster is welcomed.

Plaid Lantern said...

No poster last night, but I did have a darn good grilled cheese sandwich and a few fun napkins.

I'm always amazed and happy at how nice you all are to each other. I've been trying and trying to get a print and I've always missed out (friggin' error pages...) and it blows my mind when somebody says they have all or almost all of them. Most of all, it's good to see that there doesn't seem to be any of those eBayers that try to resell the prints for $300-700. Just good, honest fans.

So, I guess I have a sort of request to anybody listening. If there's a poster you're willing to let go of, I'd be happy to make a decent offer. Not a crazy eBay offer, but decent and honest nonetheless. Any poster would do, cause really, all I want for Christmas is just one.

Any information or offers you have would be much appreciated. Thank you!

oh, guess I should leave my email... m_kirby_1976@yahoo.com. Thanks again!
