Hmmm, now I certainly didn't take that long to click the BUY NOW. I wonder of it's possible that that spammed/fake link I clicked on did something so I couldn't load pages? I guees I'll check now, scan to see if it did.

Probably not, probably just sour grapes. Again humph and oh well.

And thanks again to Jopinionated, Jeremy and all who went to the Super7 for us!

Here's hoping Frame 16 involves a bit more of a solve, and less just pushing a button!

Ophendor said...

If anybody would like to trade this one for Rousseau's Transmission, give me a shout.

ObFuSc8 said...

Ophendor...meaning you have this one and want to trade, or that you want this one?

I came home a happy man - the wonderful Mrs. Sandman managed to snag #2210 in what sounds like a horrific experience. She has echoed everyones' sentiments and experiences here (and got quite a kick out of the lostarg blogging!). Really love the print. Truly sorry for those who were unable to get through - I've been there and feel your pain.

It didn't sell out in 10 seconds... as it took me like 45 to check out.
----------

Yeah I was just posting a tweet from Jensen, the checkout definitely took more than 10 seconds, flashing white screen etc thought I was in the middle of Season 5 for a minute there :)

Justin said...

Ophendor - I might take you up on that offer. I got a Jacob's Cabin. I'll have to see Jacob's Cabin in person once they deliver it before I decide for sure.

Email me at chulo333 at gmail.com

Amy Lynn said...

You guys, seriously, it sold out in 10 seconds. We have no idea what their technical definition for sold out means, or where you have to be in the process of buying.

Claire said...

Hey guys!

I'm glad a lot of you got your posters! I really love this one so if anyone wants the Rousseau's Transmission I have, i'll trade it for this one (I know no one will...)

The reveal was so much fun. I hope everyone else who went had a good time.

@OBFuSc8

I didn't click on the spam link until after it was all over as I didn't know about until afterwards, but that link did something (not good).

I understand peoples frustration when not getting one, especially now that it has gotten to such a popular point... But still, I wouldn't want to see more un numbered copies printed up like photo copies, I feel like it de values it a bit as a piece of art... A ton of work is put into each piece, and I'm sure all who had a hand in this realize there are more than 200 LOST fans, but they had to think about how many people would want to spend $62 on a silk screened lost poster... I'm sure its for the fans of the show, but It's also for people who buy all kinds of prints (shepard, etc)... Go to any of the artists websites, all of their prints are numbered in faily low quantites, and Danger, for example has lots of sold out (amazing, by the way!) prints... I do think when all is said and done a book or magazine which each print and a write up by the artist would be really awesome! But just to make more now because the demand has gotten higher certainly de values the whole idea. I love the whole concept, even when I don't get a print that I would love to have, but I am also a collector and I guess I have gotten used to this kind of thing.

Justin said...

claire - email me at chulo333 at gmail. I might be interested, but i'd have to see Jacob's in person first once they deliver it.

also, Ophendor asked first above, but email me. Who knows, i might not hear from him/her.

ObFuSc8 said...

Hey all -- anyone heard from Mel? Did he get one?

Anonymous said...

To those that are scanning them in and printing them, do you realize you are committing copyright violations? You are actually hurting the artists. The artists should were paid for 300 prints. When there are suddenly 5,000 prints out there, they receive no compensation for their hard work. Please take that into consideration when you choose to "bootleg" their art. Would you want your boss to pay you until 5PM but expect you to work until 7?

Nachosaur said...

Wait...what happened when you clicked the spam link?

Anonymous said...

Would anyone be willing to sell Jacob's Cabin for like $300 or so? PLEASE let me know!

Patmc said...

Order #2142
That was by far the most intense purchase so far! I'm still only missing #4... but I consider myself extremely lucky to have gotten in today. With all the blank screens, slow load times and 404 errors, it was like navigating a mine field!

For anyone who wanted one, and couldn't get it in time... why not cheer yourself up and get a Polar Beer, Lost themed T-shirt at www.teefury.com ? You've still got 4.5 hours until they stop selling them... :-)

Unknown said...

wow, what an interesting day this was! Congrats to those who were able to get the poster. Thanks to those who went and took pics and tweeted. Looks like some great swag!

I went to the fake link first, but was only there for a minute, lol. Can laugh about it now, but was disappointed at first. Though did like this print, I decided not to go for it. Jacob's cabin freaked me out on the show...I don't think it would do me any better being on my wall, lol. Ill admire it online, or maybe in 8x10.

Stew said...

@Adam: it was I who predicted Daniel danger, jacob's cabin. I figured that he would do one after I saw the dan McCarthy's reveal. If you look at danger's other work, it just made sense. I had no prior knowledge, I swear.

Order #2237
For me, I absolutely love this print. I think it's my favorite so far. I bought 5 so far, love triangle, hatch, rousseau's transmission, walt's kidnapping, and this one. I guess the consensus is most of these prints look better in person and I have to agree. I can't believe how long love triangle took to sell out, it looks great in person, in a nice frame.

PS, I love this site. Is there anyway we could do another poll for favorite so far?

Ob8...So I'm at work..hitting the refresh,,doing breathing exercises, trying to keep my heart rate under control and my stomach down were it belongs..Its takin almost a full minute just to refresh,,with a hardwired broadband system at work at that..GAAAK!!..I want to vomit!!..Why am i doing this to myself ? I ask. OH CRAP!! after what seemed the most tortured minutes of recent memory,,THERE IT IS!! BUY NOW!!..I'm on it!! My eyes begin to blur! I'm blowin thru the screens like never before. I'm hittin the " continue" buttons before they are even firmly in place!!! I have to hit'em a 2nd time, a 3rd time!!,,Screen 5 , take it easy , get it right,,BAM!..okay ..hit the final check out 2 or 3 times in my frenzy...screen changes,,Your Cart Is Empty...whaaaa?????..So I had to wait until I got home to check my email to kno...did I get it or not?. Man o man.. I had so much work to do,, that I got back to work and almost forgot about it all. Didn't even check order status. Traffic on the way home was nuts,, so it demanded my full attention.. I gets home, turn on the computer. Make myself a drink, relax a bit ..aaa lets see whats in the email...OH POOP! GO MERCH and RONNIE..Order confirmation #2214..I hope it stands! I mean..the experience was so intense,,with the impossible refresh times and all..I had literally put it out of mind. What a surprise to see the email. I'm just not too sure I want to go thru that again.

I am glad that the Fans who went to S7 had some goodies coming their way.

Some day I'll unload on the print itself, but not today. I don't know how it happened but it did. Order #2214.

Amazed!...MEL

Congrats Mel!

babysledge said...

Good to hear Mel. I was also tortured those few minutes and hitting the continue buttons before they were complete, taking deep breathes lol. It seemed like it was taking a long time or maybe my nerves were stretching time out. I was relieved to see the emails in my inbox.

ObFuSc8 said...

Yay Mel, knowing you got in under the wire makes up for my disappointment!

ReverendMilo said...

congrats mel!

ReverendMilo said...

and i agree that once it is in your cart, you should not lose it.

I actually recieved a transaction ID but the site crashed or something, and I did not get an order number.

I was told that I did not get a print by customer service.

ObFuSc8 said...

Ummm...I can't get into GoMerch to check previous orders...

Andy..I hope there is a Lost Fan Angel out there for you, as there was for me on the previous print. I owe my " collection" to the one who brings sleep. That and wearing my fingers down to the first knuckles in practicing for todays reveal,,gives me hope to continue. But.. no matter what day,, or at what time..I've learned,,use the computer at work.

Also,,perhaps a bottle of Malox would be good,,and somebody at my desk wiping the sweat off my brow. What a gut wrencher!!

Ugh...seems like everyone (of the regulars, that is) got one but me. and I had two other people trying to help me get one. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in my life...I'd easily trade in the 4 I have for this one. It's the one I wanted since this darn thing started!

ReverendMilo said...

I think this is a good exercise in disappointment for me.

I dropped $220 to cover the Dallas FOB event, and did not could not even get pete wentz to acknowledge me although my friend and I were the only 2 at the show that dressed in Swan workmen jumpsuits.(thankfully some Blink 182 people thought it was cool and gave me a few Blink stickers)

I spent a day thinking I was first order.

And now I got half of an order that amounts to no print.

I wonder what kind of cosmic fail I have ahead of me next. I have already been to 3 funerals of close family and friends in the past 5 weeks, so maybe a car crash next?

lol

Jesse! Rikkitik said...

@Rev I had the exact same thing happen. Site lagged up after the last of what 5? screens? (really GoMerch? we need THAT many screens)and then site was dead.

Minutes later i got a Customer Receipt/Purchase confirmation email but not the cool second email with my order number. I keep hoping that maybe I got one...but I'm sure losing hope.

ReverendMilo said...

feel_the_insanity, you are not the only regular that is on the sad side tonight.

join me for a scotch and icecream.

ShoxTP said...

MILO! SAY IT AIN'T SO! Had i gotten one, i would have sold it to you. Do you hear that TPTB?!

now.....

Thank you to all who braved the elements and got us the URL! Truly our heroes*!

*(Shox's use of the word "Heroes" is in no way in reference to that god forsaken crock of a show that likes to jump story lines and leave people hanging, lol :))

ReverendMilo said...

Jesse I emailed them my transaction ID and they told me too bad.

Jesse! Rikkitik said...

Yup, I emailed them as well but haven't heard back yet. Guess they're gone for the day now, even though i sent the email...3 hours ago.

feel_the_insanity said...

@Rev I'll have some vanilla ice cream with LOADS of chocolate syrup...lol.

Stinks that you didn't get one, you're the best at this game. Love their reaction to your email, they don't care about us. Like I said, the problem isn't us or flippers (still convinced they are a myth)...the problem is GoMerch or whoever is really in charge here. Fan appreciation my you-know-what...we'll get'm next time Rev.

Justin said...

feel_the_insanity - that sounds like a great offer, which 4 do you have :)

Anonymous said...

Rev..Ouch..I know the pain..like I said to Andrew..seems to me some folks will have second thoughts on this print.

BTW.. I have registered over at L'pedia yesterday..but have yet to see any confirmation in my email. I figured you could contact me and vis versa, thru there...mungonna.

My problem is..I am already spred thin amongst the LOST websites..and have already been teased about abandoning home sweet home ABC.com for here.

..MEL

ReverendMilo said...

Oh tyson was very nice, and wished it could be different.

I understand that they cant control the outcome as that would not be fair.

I do wish that once it was in your cart, you could complete your transaction with confidence.

When I go to the store and put something in my basket and go to check out, I rarely get there to find it is no longer in my basket though.

I have one incredibly kind person that has offered me their successful order, but I really would prefer to be able to find someone that somehow managed two and was willing to part with their extra. I will stoop so low as to accept that offer in the utter most humbleness and appreciation, and do my best to make it worth their while, but I hope and pray for another way out of respect for the kind lostie

ObFuSc8 said...

Mel, we still love you and there's not as much going on at the ABC site. I thought Zort had decided to give his print to the Rev?

Ditto on getting part of the order though and not getting the print, Rev and Jesse! Haven't done this yet, but might just troll Ebay for this one/ Checked EB site, but it's down -- only their forum loads, and of course that craptastic GoMerch/RMA site remains down and out -- I can't even check old orders.

ObFuSc8 said...

Rev, I saw someone one the EB forum claim they got 2.

slightlyaddicted said...

Damn, I couldn't get the buy it now. i kept getting a white screen, once in a while a on sale soon, then more white screens then a sold out. I know it wasn't meant to be and I realize, its ink on paper, but damn, if RevMilo didn't get one, I don't even get a chance to covet his!

Christine said...

Daniel Danger posted on his site "if you missed out, be on my mailing list and please be patient if you want further details for when the time is right."

I really bet the artists have extra prints that they'll be offering once this ARG blows over.

Martyn said...

Dear Tyson, that was in no way a 10 second sell out. It took 10 seconds to go from page to page. By the time I got to completing it, I was 100% sure that I had failed but, kick me in the balls and call me sally, I got one!

If it wasn't for the person who discussed dan danger, I would of ummed and ahhed for ages but I loved the work that looks similar to this and knew I had to have it. Easily makes up for missing out on swan station. Most detailed poster to date, not my favourite, the hatch, but a tough 2nd with dharma van.

One last word before I go to sleep, really sorry to lostinlondon for not getting a poster, even though you skipped your meal plans, and to everyone else who got 404 or worse, the one email fate.

But most of all, yes most of all, I am gutted for reverand milo. To get this far, even come second last week, was a cruel fate. I'm sure someone in America will gladly sell it to you, failing that, there's the save a lostie fund. I really do feel for you.

Anyway, I will post a picture of the bonfire and fireworks I'm going to tomorrow night for Capcom, if you want, and going to make a canvas of the Locke poster, so does anyone know where there is a high res image of it to download?

Until the next clue folks!

Anonymous said...

Ob8..You know as S6 gets close, I'll be there ..gettin everyone refreshed on the Surreal,,adding to the excitement. But until then,,yea ,,seeing a whole weeks of posts still on the front page,,says it all.

One thing about this print I will say..at work, the print appeared alot darker on the screens than it appears on my computer at home. This one may,, like Machina..need to be near a lite source to be fully appreciated...which is kinda contrary to its... " moment".

..MEL

Anonymous said...

@ Christine -
If you thought this drop is insane, wait until the artists sell theirs. There will still be as many people looking to score each of the prints; however, there will now only be 40-60 prints.

andrew said...

Each time I see this print I'm more disappointed I missed out. At least I gained the appreciation for Daniel Danger's stuff. And he seems cool... from his "Ordering Info":

"I reserve the right to sell or not sell to whomever I please. This is my work, my store, and MY WORK. I reserve my right to NOT SELL AND CANCEL ORDERS TO RE-SELLERS/EBAYERS should you make yourself painfully obvious and blatant. Once a print is in your hands, its yours. Until the post office picks up the package and leaves my driveway, its mine. id much rather hold onto said order and sell it to someone who actually wants it."

Love it.

@ReverandMilo Me and my brother made a plan, we would both try and get one. And if he didn't manage to get one, I would give him mine. However, due to the fact that we have been on computers since age 2, we both managed to get one. I would be willing to trade the one I got for another poster if you would like to do that. Ophendor said...

Yeah it did, I am one of the disappointed as well. I got kicked out on checkout as well. Either way, I got a few other prints in the mail today which was quite exciting. Getting one back from the framer tomorrow as well.

Sam G said...

I'd like to know how many people who never tried to buy one of the posters before managed to get one this time.

There is no way you could register, set up a password. Add your address and credit card information.

I have a poster but I really don't think this set up is fair.

They need to then let anyone who wants to buy a poster register and have their information stored ahead of time or if you get it in your cart you are able to process the sale. 1 poster per customer.

You have to then remember your password and the security code for your credit card. Check the box that says billing address is the same as the shipping address.

jeremy said...

Congratulations and condolences to everyone.
I mentioned earlier in another chat room that I feel a little like a guy who went out for pizza and came back to a bit of a massacre.

One thing I will say that has kept me looking on the bright side - I have a number of friends who are BIG TIME Disney fanatics, and I think this ARG thing is so much more fun than what Disney usually does with their Merchandise Events.

For those that don't know, a Merchandise Event is a special event attendees have to pay to get into so that they have the opportunity to purchase special edition items.

And while it perhaps would have been easier for some to get the complete set that way, this way is much more fun for everyone.

Thank you all for following me and giving me an even greater reason for going to Super7 today.

Namaste!

It's a bummer that they can't set it up like an ticket site. For example, if you buy sorting event tickets or plane tickets online the ticket is reserved for you for a set period of time once you begin the checkout process."

this system DOES NOT work for insane sales like this, where there are 40 sales a second for the first few seconds, and it just rails and rails on an inventory system. it makes the system run so so so so much worse because carts get filled, the system/server crashes, people cant check out, the carts stay loaded but people cant access them, they are eventually cleared hours and hours later automatically or not at all and random people late to the game snag them when they are released back into the inventory, initial people are disappointed because they were there first and their cart crashed. what ends up happening is a large chunk of the run ends up stuck in carts that people cant access. its a nightmare, trust me. there is no way, unless youre personally George G Google, to make an ecommerce site run smoothly when 2000 people are trying to access it at once. trust me, ive tried it all.

Ophendor said...

Sam G, I also agree with you. Unless you've previously purchased a poster, there would be no way to enter any of the information.

Since, I've been part of several other art sales online, I've come to like the ones that go straight to paypal after you click buy and then form of payment. Since you can setup your paypal account ahead of time, it only makes sense. With only 4 posters left in the series, there probably won't be any changes to their current system, which is unfortunate.

Best of luck in the final 4.

@Sam

I disagree. If you have been following this arg, like diehard fans have been, you would have been able to easily set up an account and purchase a poster up to the 9th or 10th poster reveal. I don't think someone coming in to the final 4 deserve a poster more than someone who has been trying to get every single one since the 1st reveal. I came into this before the 6th print but waited to buy just a couple I really wanted. I saw how hectic things were getting so I set up an account to get ready and I have purchased 3 posters now.

I am sorry for those who really wanted this and didn't get it. It sucks that scalpers have the same chances we do.

Sounds like with the technical difficulties, a lot of it boiled down to luck. My wife tells me that F5 was not working and she was typing in the first few letters of the URL to get it to refresh (not sure as I wasn't there). Then super SLOOOOWWWW.

Forgot to mention this. Further evidence of it not being a "10 second sellout" is that when I was done ordering I opened the reveal URL in a new window and saw "BUY NOW"

That was at least a minute after the buy now button appeared for me, and it seems I was one of the early orders.

So... probably what happened was that 200 carts filled up in 10 seconds, some people failed at buying due to the site problems, and then the buy now link showed up again as their carts emptied... then it probably quickly disappeared. I didn't check again. So it was probably a BUY NOW / Sold Out / BUY NOW / Sold Out like we've saw with the slower selling posters, just at a very rapid pace.

Anonymous said...

Umm, you have to have a gomerch account in order to have purchased the poster, so whomever thinks they bought the poster might want to go back and check with the log on information they used to buy it today?

@Jessie, yes to your question, mine shows up and says authorized.

For the record, what happened to RevMilo this week and some others is exactly what happened to me last week. They also put a hold on my bank account which I think was finally released yesterday (would have to check with the bank to be sure). Just am FYI, if you got that first confirmation letter but not the 2nd, I can almost assure you a hold for the funds has been put on your payment method, and don't expect a cancellation letter. Their system doesn't see that there was ever an order placed, that's why when RevMilo called gomerch today, it didn't matter that he had a transaction number. I went through the exact same thing, even told them I would have my bank 3 way a call telling them the funds were taken out....nope.

Checked out you sight previously when you where rumored to be involved, love your work. I went back and signed up on your site and also really dig the "has thou slain the jabberwock?" Hopefully when it goes on sale I'll be able to grab that one too.

I went to his site previously to an the print stood out for me too.

Forgot to mention this. Further evidence of it not being a "10 second sellout" is that when I was done ordering I opened the reveal URL in a new window and saw "BUY NOW"
--------------

GET OUT! :) You were that fast AND had presence of mind to open a new window to see the BUY NOW button was still active? Impressive.

Congested said...

Indeed Anon. :)

Hey Sayid's girl. Long time no see. Have you managed to snag a print yet?

Raj said...

Hey everyone,
Like many others the site froze up and we were not abel to get one. My wife was trying for me and I feel bad casue she was upset and thought she let me down. But its all good that's life i guess. How is everyone checking their past orders? I tried to go to the Go Merch site and it is saying the e-mail I use when I buy the posters is not valid. Is this where everyone else is going to check status?

Also for the oddly sized posters, transmission and walt, a site called wholesaleposterframes.com makes custom sized frames with UV protected screens for about $30. A much cheaper alternative to a custom framer....

Raj--I am able to log in and check my order status at this link:

Does anyone's Jacobs Cabin say shipped?

dylansdad said...

Nope--Authorized.

Raj said...

That did it, thanks dylansdad!

ObFuSc8 said...

Raj -- let us know if that helps. If there is still a problem, try the "forgot your password" link.

If that doesn't work you could re-register (if you haven't bought any prints) or email the customer service address.

Jesse! Rikkitik said...

Hey Raj! I spoke to your wife for a sec in the chat. I didn't get one either. Received the first confirmation email...but not the second and when i check now no dice!

Looks like the Memphis love is lacking as far as Jacob and his cabin!

ObFuSc8 said...

Come to think of it, I think I chatted with your wife briefly as well, Raj.

I was much more anticipatory then, and it was just about when that fake URL got posted.

Anonymous said...

revmilo made that fake url

ObFuSc8 said...

Yup he did, says it was a joke between him and Thorsten and that someone else leaked the URL as today's print.

ReverendMilo said...

yes it was me, not my proudest moment

Because I am very very tired now, I will just give a link to what I wrote on Dark

darkufo post

I was planning to write it here too, but writing that took about all the rest of my remaining energy and emotion. I hope you understand.

Hi everyone, only after reading up on all the failed attempts to buy, I realized how lucky I was to get one, a virtual hug and pat on the back to you guys, truly sorry.

I wanted to share my nerve wrecking yet strangely succesful experience. I was at my computer with a stable Wifi connection up until the site showed up with the On Sale Soon button, that's when I inevitably had to leave my desk, they had to pry me away from it!! so there I was, stuck doing the whole refresh game on my iPhone over crappy 3G !! I thought this would not work, but I kept insisting, had my login already at the clipboard, Buy Now button came on, tapped it, did my best but my CC I had to put in manually, it seemed like forever but no glitches and then, amazingly enough I got one, perhaps it is fate.

Maybe, just maybe, whatever print you can actually get to buy has a certain meaning to each invididual, and no matter how hard you try to buy one that doesn't befit your path, you will never be able to buy it...

Hehe, thought I'd through that last comment out there to you who can relate to it, seriously I feel like I want to talk LOST to anyone I can but nobody I know is as insanely fanatic of the greatest TV show in history.

Good luck to us all for the future prints, especially the last "RED" one, whatever could it be!?! I was thinking maybe a special 50 x 50 of the final season poster at Comic-Con, in "unlimited" quantities, what do you guys think?

ReverendMilo said...

and my apologies if this was overdue, I have been apologizing to Thorsten and really was not aware that it was being discussed or taken seriously by anyone until a little bit ago. that is not meant as an excuse, but an explanation why I said nothing, I wasnt aware what impact my stupidity had until a little bit ago.

Other than Thorsten getting contacted and accused of something he was not responsible for, I really did not know how far my brief lapse (but horrible lapse) in judgement had extended.

ObFuSc8 said...

Thanks Rev...someone actually posted the URL in the chat, and that's how everyone got it, and ran with it. It loaded very slowly, but as soon as the pic came up, I recognized it as the one Thorsten had actually posted a link to here, earlier.

I have heard of a few folks who are newer to this print ARG that actually thought your site was the actual one, and f5ed it, for too long.

The *fake* URL went up in this chatroom, then spread so quicly that I have heard it mentioned at other sites, including Dark, EB etc. A good example of just how many are getting the URL from this chat.

comixguru said...

just catching up on the day's insanity.

didnt get a print. :(

Andrew- so sorry to hear about your doggie, Skye. I understand your pain, friend.

My Jacob's Cabin says shipped as well. Interesting. Thanks to Daniel Danger for stopping by. I don't know if he'll come back past and see this but it is incredibly thoughtful and kind of him to do so. Also it's becoming clear there will be a second chance for these posters (my guess is about 40 prints and in January) so if people can hold off getting them from ebay it looks like you might get lucky.

I want an awesome name like Daniel Danger! Not only is he an awesome artist...but who is going to mess with a man named Daniel Danger!?!?!?!?!?! I bet his middle name is even more kickass!

Anonymous said...

I didn't even get close.
I thought the reveal was at 12.30 pst which would be at 8.30am here in london. Got up at 8, had a look, oh sold out. Must have been 7.30am.
I'm not even going to bother at all with the last few.
Just dissapointed every time (bar the couple that didn't sell out which I didn't like). It's not worth it.

Anonymous said...

How did you think it was at 12:30 PST? It had been posted for nearly 24 hours that it was 12 PST.

Why would you be dissapointed with something that is your own fault?

Oh well, 1 less!!! I might get one next time! That only makes 19,999 people trying to get 1 of 200!!!

Anonymous said...

Well even it it was 12 thats still 8am here and on this blog the time stamp for selling out was half an hour before I logged on!?

Fried_Chicken said...

Today was a crap shoot... Your browser either loaded when the button went hot... and you scored; or there was a brief time-out when the link when hot... and you missed out. STILL, talk about an adrenalin rush :) Refreshing for like 35 minutes in 3 second bursts with no issues... then white screen, brief delay in load... and sold out :) oh well, CONGRATS to the winners!

Blimey what a lot of comments to read :-)

I'm just going to work on a new post for a few mins, back soon.

MJCarp said...

this is a re-post from DarkUFO which I posted moments before:

drama.

Maybe between now and next reveal we can review DCaaPB rules and how URL are revealed. There seems to be a lot of confusion. Take some time in the next week to discuss strategies for a successful purchase.

That said, it pains me to see that I have read thru this comments and recorded very few order numbers. I also monitor www.lostargs comments. The success rate for LOST fans who have been with this ARG/Viral was dismal. Of the order numbers that I collected most were NEW names. And with that only 35 of the 200 owners identified themselves.

I created a Twitter list for the sole purpose of aiding in the initial discovery of the URL. DCaaPB provides the URL to anyone who attends a reveal. I have simply found a way to organize attendees. Only the URL reported first hand by a LOST fan is authentic. I would appreciate someone taking point on this board to follow and report what Tweoples are posting 'as it happens." Since I am close to have all 15 posters, I am focused on Twitter List and not commenting to board until after poster sells out. I close all apps. with the exception of browser.

Frame-13 list has been created http://twitter.com/#/list/Lottery_Ticket/lostarg-frame-13

You have one week to figure it out.

DCaaPB will give you the day and time EVERY WEEK. There is no mystery here. Just wait for it. If you want to play "find the reveal" go ahead. It's fun. I have been meeting and greeting LOST fans since August and wouldn't change a things in that regard. I wish that we had more time to reflect and share these days.

Regarding eBay and THE LIST. I am Switzerland. Whatever, whoever, when and how much. If I find it, I'll record it. If you want it off, I'll remove. If you want on, I'll add. I'm watching 41 posters being sold on eBay. I am sure that I missed more than a few during the first few weeks. I will report "FOR SALE" and SOLD. I can handle this now, if tracking takes too much of my time, then I will stop. If you would like to take point on this, please let me know and I'll help you get started.

For those of you who did not get the poster that you wanted, please try and stay positive. I know (from experience) how hard that was for me. I'm still pained even thinking about that day.

Luck is the only skill your need for success.

I also want to thank @jopionated, @busparking and @clairegrum for providing URL and photos at the reveal. They were not able to purchase poster. A sacrifice to OUR benefit. Please thank them. They did get some cool Gel-a-Skins. You can check out their website. Many of our poster artist have available images for your to use. You can also use your own artwork in the DIY section. I'm creating laptop cover of all my Twitter friend avatars using Twilk.com. A most meaningful keepsake.

xox to all Lotto

thorsten said...

Lotto, you say that we have one week to figure it out.
Well, 10.000 people tried to get 200 posters, and my browser window blanked into white like The Incident.

There is not much I can figure out till next week.

daniel said...

thanks everyone for the kind words, and for those checking out my regular work on my site.

side note, the print is titled the full quote on the print, not "jacobs cabin". im not sure where that came from, but my titles are long winded and almost always quotes. typically it would be something id write myself, but in this case i picked the quote to work from.

lostsailors said...

LotteryTicket that was a great post! Thank you.

NEW POST

Zort70 said...

Just in case you are still reading Daniel, I hope you don't mind your comments being posted on the main page.

Also the title had to be shortened for the DamonCarltonandaPolarBear site for it to fit with the others.

I think a few of the other artists have said that their preferred title was altered as well.

Thanks very much for syopping by and posting here.

Actually, 12PST was 8PM in the uk, not am. That may of been the killer mistake you made.

Just checked my poster status and it says shipped aswell, which is pretty awesome and very weird. Maybe Tyson has brought in some help for the last few reveals.

As for the fake URL, I knew it was fake cus it wasn't one of the names on the list but still clicked it and was thinking, dickhead. But did think it distracted enough people for me to get it so changed my mind a little.

Now I learn it was rev milo, I retract the dickhead statement and purely ask, can I see it again because I closed it down to look at later and now it's gone.

Zort70 said...

Martyn, the new thread is open, but no the site was taken down well before ABC asked ReverendMilo to do so.

He posted a link to his comments over at DarkUFO earlier.

Good Morning everyone,

Yeah my wife told me she talked to a couple of people so thanks for making her feel comfortable, Jesse and Obfusc8.

On aside note my Swan jus came in the mail this morning and oit is beautiful! The red is extremely vibrant!

Anonymous said...

So, if a "flipper" had created this fake site, would you be as forgiving as you were to His Majesty ReverendMilo? I highly doubt it. In fact, I would bet there would be talk of "locating him" or legal actions or whatever else. I think it is a huge double standard to be so forgiving to someone who single handedly caused people to lose out on this poster. Interesting.
