Test 6: Specialized Department Evaluation 151

Test 6 is up, and in it we are being assessed on our expertise in a specific departmental skill set based on the results of the preceding evaluations. It's a multiple choice exam, only our first attempts will be counted, and you must be logged in to take the test!

There's a cheat for Test 6, posted by Unseenpresence in the comments at Dark UFO.

Click here to see the cheat.
1. Start taking Test 6.
2. As soon as the question comes up, hold down the 'C' button then press right-click.
3. The normal Flash Settings menu will pop up--but with a 'Black Swan' option at the top.
4. Click that option and the correct answer will blink. It works on every question.
(Posted by Unseenpresence at Dark UFO)

There are six groups reported so far: Demeter, Apollo, Ares, Hestia, Poseidon, and Athena, who are six of the Twelve Olympians.

*Thanks to Codysmom for e-mailing about the cheat.

well, I'm off to bed. I guess I will have to check back in the morning.

Ha!!!! I found you!

ROFL, ange!!

Good-night, CEO... could be busy tomorrow!

Lisa-Maladylis said...

damn, it's working now so I guess I can't go to bed yet

Black Swan said...

Test 6 is up! You have to be logged in to take the test!! Glad I have my toilet scrubber account:)

Lisa-Maladylis said...

and like before, even if your not logged in, it WILL score you and put you in a group so try it on another account before you do the cheating one.

Ange said...

Post is updated. I took one for the team and took the test. I got a question about who makes iPods, what is a GPS, and something about how many watts a cell phone omits. There were others but I can't remember as the time also counts.

I pretty much chose C for everything, as C seemed the correct answer to the ones I know (per click C). I am in group Demeter.

Post or e-mail with your groups as you get placed and I'll do a poll.

Black Swan said...

My dummy acct. is in Ares. You HAD TO BE LOGGED IN to even take the test. It was a test similar to the ones we were making for each other to take. I don't think my dummy did very well and didn't want to choose C a lot because my dummy doesn't cheat:)

Demeter is the goddess of grain and fertility. One of her greatest gifts to man (other than cereal) was mysteries.

Black Swan said...

from wiki (demeter, ares) of the twelve olympians....in Greek mythology, were the principal gods of the Greek pantheon, residing atop Mount Olympus. The classical scheme of the Twelve Olympians (the Canonical Twelve of art and poetry) comprises the following gods: Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Ares, Hermes, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Hestia. The respective Roman scheme comprises the following gods: Jupiter, Juno, Neptune, Ceres, Mars, Mercury, Vulcan, Venus, Minerva, Apollo, Diana and Vesta.[1]

Black Swan said...

The Twelve Olympians gained their supremacy in the world of gods after Zeus led his siblings to victory in war with the Titans; Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hera, Demeter, and Hestia were siblings;

Ange said...

Whoa, do you think we'll have 12 groups?

Ellen said...

Hi ya'll!
Test 6 already...wow. I think I'm going to lurk a bit before taking it...hehe!
xxoo

Black Swan said...

or maybe the six siblings?

Black Swan said...

Ares (Roman name Mars) = God of war, frenzy, hatred, and bloodshed. He's a second generation Olympian.

Black Swan said...

Demeter was a first generation Olympian, Goddess of fertility, agriculture, nature, and the seasons.

Ange said...

Oh jeez, yeah that makes more sense. Also, Blog Flux seems to be having an issue with the polls. I'm getting it at all the sites that have Blog Flux polls on them, so it must be their servers.

Someone at Dark UFO is in Apollo, and apparently there is a functioning cheat. Anyone got it yet?

Black Swan said...

no, I'm waiting for the cheat... lol. I fooled around with right click C a little, but I really want to keep my second account cheat-free to see what the difference is with my lyin', cheatin', will-do-anything-for-100% codysmom acct:)

Black Swan said...

Apollo is not one of the six siblings

Black Swan said...

Apollo, second generation Olympian, The Sun God; god of light, healing, music, poetry, prophecy, archery and truth. Name in Roman also Apollo.

Ange said...

Right you are Codysmom! I guess we'll have to wait and see how many times they are going to divide us up this time. I'm off to bed so I can get up at 6am and eat mt Demeter cereal and ponder some mysteries.

Goodnight gang!

Black Swan said...

good-nite, ange!!

Black Swan said...

UnseenPresence (Samuel) over at DarkUfo has stated the cheat for test6. I'm not sure if I should put it here (spoiler?) but I e-mailed the admins...

Ange said...

Okay I lied...I'm not in bed yet. Someone has posted the cheat in comments at Dark UFO, but Dark doesn't have a post up yet. Should I go ahead?

Ange said...

I went ahead...GOODNIGHT!

TheRoog said...

I just took test 6. It was weird...I got a couple questions that were no brainers, and then a few questions that kinda gave me a headache. Regardless, I'm done, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I'm not a toilet scrubber.

I'm in group Demeter.

Do you think that our groups are an indication of what "job" we'll have? I mean, it is the "Specialized Department Evaluation" test, so we can assume we'll be getting our official jobs pretty soon. Maybe the people in Demeter (goddess of fertility, I believe agriculture and mysteries) indicate that we may be cooks or...writers or literary people, and those in Ares might be security or soldiers, and the people in Apollo could be musicians or artists?

TheRoog said...

Just a thought, as well..any speculation as to where the game is gonna go from here? I mean, I certainly hope the game is more than taking tests and stuff....I've heard minstrels tell tales of the great "Lost Experience" and the magic that descended upon mankind in those golden days of yore. I may be naive, but I'm still kind of hoping we get more from here; more research, more sleuthing and more intrigue and what have you.
Just no more tests.

Black Swan said...

hi, theroog.... you've got me laughing about

"the great "Lost Experience" and the magic that descended upon mankind in those golden days of yore."

Well, in this ARG, we sure aren't there (yet). I'm really hoping that once this testing stage is over Oct. 7th, things will really get interesting...

I was just thinking, OK, we did test 6 (first score only counts), we know the cheat already... now nothing to do for a week.......

Tess315 said...

So right clicking doesn't do anything then?
Welcome to the game capcom.
Thanks zort for the JJ interview link.
codysmom I took Alex's test.
Maybe memphish and lost2010 will come back if phase 2 picks up.
I think that's all I wanted to comment on. Real life got in the way of my virtual life and I'm too tired to think straight right now. I haven't seen Heroes or Fringe yet but they're recorded.
I guess I'll wait until tomorrow and see what the cheat is. Funny it isn't right clicking something or somewhere.

Black Swan said...

Hi, sayid'sgirl!!!! Thanks for taking Alex's test! And yes, there is right-clicking involved in the cheat... (better read it again:)

For theroog, who seems to have missed the great Lost Experience (known around here as TLE) and for those who just want to think back to the good old days...

I'll take mine tomorrow...too late...gotta watch Fringe and Dancing!

Tess315 said...

codysmom
I'm sorry I must have misunderstood you. I thought you said you right clicked and it didn't do anything.
I haven't read the cheat yet.
ange posted it on the front page right, must refresh the page and then get some sleep. I try the test tomorrow.

Tess315 said...

That sounds similar to the one I couldn't get to work. I can't remember which one.
Good night all.

Black Swan said...

maven, Fringe was really good tonight!!

Good-night, sayid'sgirl! Yes, the cheat for test 6 is on the front page here....

Scoutpost said...

Hey all! Well I took the test, but clearly it was the wrong one. It kept asking me all these electronic type questions when clearly I was supposed to have the test regarding cleaning supplies and mopping techniques! ;P

I used the cheat, the first one I've been able to do without fault (I can't even cheat right). In the end, I was put in the Demeter group. I barely even read the questions, I just did the cheat and clicked the answer that blinked. I had questions though about electric wiring, blackberrys, who invented the internet and a couple of questions about wireless connections and cell phones. I don't remember any more specifics. It's all in Hans' hands now. I'm not counting out janitor duty yet.

Had to record Fringe, so I'm off to watch now.

Black Swan said...

scoutpost!!!! (lol)

My test was more about architects and buildings and I don't remember... lol

enjoy Fringe!

Scoutpost said...

codysmom- just watched that you tube video about TLE. Pretty cool. I wonder what will be said about this one in the end. So far it surely hasn't triggered the excitement and contagious nature of the first ARG. Keeping my fingers crossed that that will change.

Did you see they showed TLEC in the blip on all the blogs that were created during the site. woohoo!

ok now I'm off- nighty night all.

Ellen said...

I took the test, used the cheat! It worked great. The questions were similar to yours scoutpost. Lots of electronics...
I'm in Demeter also.

codysmom- thanks for the link to the video! It was a real blast for sure!
xxoo

Black Swan said...

Glad you liked the video!

I will not give up on this ARG!!! It's going to be great one of these days (I hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Well, for better or for worse I'm in Demeter for the last test.

Ange said...

Is anyone else having an issue seeing the poll results in previous posts on the main page?

ib4uc said...

Took the test, used the cheat, and was put in Demeter.

ib4uc said...

ange... the last poll result I see on the main page is for test 5.

Ange said...

Thanks ib4uc...are you able to see the results?

inatrancer said...

you b*****d you rolled me lol ;)

EmeraldIsLost said...

ok; just taken test 6; couldn't get the cheat to work so i'll have to have another look at that; almost all of my questions were architecture related; there was one of note which was about a bridge collapse in 1940; i forget the name. Don't know if theres any relevance. in Ares now; god of war.

EmeraldIsLost said...

its interesting because we can now see what 'department' area they are considering for us based on results so far; with the exception of 2 questions mine were architecture related; which makes me wonder too if they have included the tests we made as part of their decision, because mine was about architecture. The other two questions i had were on television and science; something about a laser, anyway.

EmeraldIsLost said...

heres the list of categories from the recruit created assessments; perhaps these are our 'departments', especially seeing as it appears they have chosen an instructor for each of these groupings. Can we all insert our test 6 experiences into one of these categories?

biology
communication
construction
education
engineering
horticulture
language
mathematics
medical
philosophy
physics
psychology

btw; that makes 12; and i think ange said that there are 12 Olympians?

ANM said...

Well here I am, pleased to see a new test with a more...mmmm...directly-related-to-BS cheat! Hans must be fuming!lol

EmeraldIsLost said...

heehee, go Black Swan!

ok; apparent links so far with groups:

Ares = construction/engineering?
Hestia = Medical?
Apollo = Psychology/Philosophy?
Demeter = Communications? Language?

this is just according to what i've read; which isn't a lot yet. Let me know if your own experiences fit this model or not?

Poseidon has now been reported on DarkUFO by Myrthe.

lost2010 said...

sayidsgirl - I'm still here sort of. I just couldn't even comprehend the cheat on the last one so I took my 80 on the math quiz and moved on.

Ange said...

I'm in Demeter and communication/language seems right for the questions I got.

Can someone please tell me if they can see the poll results in our previous front page polls?

Melissa_Lossa said...

emerald - just took test 6, which seemed to be communication themed, and ended up in Demeter.

Two of the questions were language translations - one Latin and one Japanese.

lost2010 said...

Latin? They're considering me for a job that involves latin? I don't even know what A.D. stands for. . . My other questions were all who invented X type questions.

lost2010 said...

Anyway, I didn't use the cheat and I'm in Demeter if that matters.

Lisa-Maladylis said...

the only poll I can see is the one that says are you going to watch Frings. the rest all say one vote and where you got the poll from.

EmeraldIsLost said...

ok thanks ange and melissa; i've just taken the test for the first time on my second account and i got mostly language questions and a couple that i would class as communications, too; and guess what group i'm in - Demeter.

ANM said...

Tested the cheat on my 2nd account, worked perfectly. Mainly psychological questions, assigned to Apollo 140 DP!
Off to try with my main account!

lost2010 said...

Demeter is the goddess of fertility? I don't want to be in her group. I want another group. Where does one file a protest.

ANM said...

Lol as expected! I got afew who invented what questions, many language ones, some on TV/cinema related themes. Used the cheat finished the test in 24 secs and got assigned to Demeter.....so one Apollo and one Demeter...mmmmm

EmeraldIsLost said...

looking up what they were gods/goddesses of, however; what seems to be the case in terms of these links seems to be at odds with what they are associated with; Apollo would be the one i would link with medicine, for example, from his wikipedia page. Don't understand this..

EmeraldIsLost said...

btw, Olsiva on DarkUFO is now reporting another new group; Athena. brings the count to 6.

ANM said...

They dont need to be connected the usual way I think, remember emeraldislost, this is Hoodlum we are talking about, kings of leading us in sensless circles lol

ANM said...

There should be 7 groups total if they follow the same pattern : Nº of groups = test nº + 1

EmeraldIsLost said...

yeah; i'm still holding out for 12 coz that would be nice; but i don't think it'll happen lol. 'kings of leading us in senseless circles' indeed, anm. oh, and why can't i be in Athena, 'goddess of wisdom'? Never get the cool groups. Hmph. Insteaad i'm in Ares, the god of war who was purpotedly a coward. Grr.

EmeraldIsLost said...

ok; update:

Poseidon = Horticulture?
Athena = ?

EmeraldIsLost said...

or Biology, i guess, actually.

ANM said...

yeah...I have gotten most of the crappy groups so far...been practicing my mopping/brooming skills

Black Swan said...

Good morning, everybody!!

I'm still not totally awake, but from what I can see browsing the comments, the test determines the group? My non-cheater account is in Ares. I haven't tried with my cheater account yet.

Once again, I don't think the groups mean much... Hans just wants to make us think they do and then they're going to put us in various "hatches" where we push buttons for unknown reasons, write long reports that get thrown into a field, and grow flowers to cover up secret doors... LOL

The link I was using for the 12 Olympians info:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelve_Olympians

Loved the "Never Give UP" vid, theroog...lol

Black Swan said...

Oh, and don't forget to take Alex's test!!!!!!!

Ange said...

Thanks Lisa.
It seems like Blog Flux is having poll issues still, but group assignments are still trickling in. I'll make a poll for our placements a little later on.

Tess315 said...

Ok this is way after the fact. I never really looked at the words on the front page that were in the drone and separate them out until last night.(too busy with real life :)) But based on those words the left over ones are right click and see/c. I thought it meant right click and see as in see what happens. But it's right click and C use at the same time. And that didn't even dawn on me until after I read the cheat and I went to bed and it was like Ohhh right click and c. Maybe if I was able to post this sooner one of you guy would have figured out the cheat. Ah well.
Lost2010 glad you're still with us.
Ok took the test I think I'm still asleep I couldn't get my right click and c co ordinated it took me a 1:42 to do it as I glanced at the questions. lol My questions were mostly architectual and some about small machines. I'm in ares. I wanted Demeter.

Black Swan said...

sayid'sgirl, sorry you didn't get the group you want, but my hurleysdad's account is in Ares, so you won't be alone:)

I'm going to wait 'till after coffee to take the test with my codysmom account:)

ANM said...

I wanted Athena...my fav greek God :(

Tess315 said...

I should have waited for caffine. lol
Ok codysmom it's good to have you and emaraldislost in my group. (and whom ever else is) Ares = constuction/engineering huh looks like I'm going to be digging those ditches or a landing strip. Hey maybe I'll be building the new hatches you all will be pushing your buttons in.
If you go with Ares being the god of war that would make a soldier with Sayid I'm cool with that.
I'm feeling better about Ares now. :) Purge! Purge! Purge!

ANM said...

@sayidsgirl ROLF!Purge indeed!

Black Swan said...

hi, anm... yeah Athena would be cool:) You said that Hans must be fuming....lol! I love it when he gets angry.... he makes such great faces:

This is my angry face

I'm going to be slow on the draw today. I hurt my eye and am having big troubles coping. Note to self :: Never scratch one's eye ! It hurts like heck and makes it so hard to see when it's not the eye you can wink ! I'm going to look great at my sons open house tonight at school with one red eye or a eye patch. Maybe I should talk like a pirate lol

Black Swan said...

I'll dig a ditch if Sawyer's there to help me:)

Tess315 said...

BTW emerald I got the bridge question too.
Which reminded me that the guy ludic mentioned a bridge on the ABC forum. I just went and checked my notes. I'm a big notes taker. And that is the bridge he mentioned and it was at the begining of the game, so maybe this guy is black swan or at least in game. Here's the quote from the forum.

Ludicfallacy8 said...
From the very few clues we have been given so far, I am sensing a an upcoming reference to the Tacoma Narrows Bridge collapse of November 7th 1940. It was captured on film and is shown to every physics student as a cautionary tale. This bridge was doomed ( in part ) as a result of aeroelastic flutter.
Flutter describes the destruction of flight 815 over the island. This was posted right after we find the I am on the inside clue.
Very interesting.

Black Swan said...

LOL, lisa!! Yes, show up at school with an eye patch and talk like a pirate.... ROFL

But sorry you hurt it... try to keep it closed/covered all day... or go to the dr. (DON'T use visine)

Black Swan said...

OMG, sayid'sgirl!! I remember that question on the Ares test! Good thing you take notes.. how would ludic fallacy8 know?

Black Swan said...

I googled Ludicfallacy8 and the first link led me to this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Island_of_the_Day_Before

It's a book by Umberto Eco (Eko!!!), "The Island of the Day Before"

Tess315 said...

codysmom
I know pretty crazy huh, and I was discounting him before. Goes to show you never know.

Black Swan said...

His first book, "The Name of the Rose".... hmmm

Going to get coffee and look into this further...

ANM said...

I remember the bridgereferrence came up when I was playing the slovaltine games....it related to one of the first source-code clues we gor, Ben's birthdate and the default date on the recruitment personal info file.....

ANM said...

Took down notes but I can't find them......

EmeraldIsLost said...

ok, so it was the SAME bridge? i hadn't checked so thanks Sayidsgirl! That bridge question definitely struck me when i saw it; and its really interesting about that Umberto Eko book, Codysmom; but why did that come up; i don't see a link in the article. Time for some research on this bridge, i think, and i'm going to check out that mysterytales comic again; see exactly what the bridge reference was in it, coz i can't really remember.

EmeraldIsLost said...

just checked out march has 32 days again; there is no mention in that of a specific bridge or even a specific year but the entire story does revolve around a bridge collapse, and reliving the day so he might prevent it. Wierdness; how DID ludicfallacy8 know?

EmeraldIsLost said...

and the island 'of the day before'?!?!?!!! march has 32 days; an extra day?!!?!?!

TakesaVillage said...

I am in Ares;
Love that Black Swan option.
Codysmom; That is one of my favorite pictures from your BS Myspace page.
Now I'm off to take the test a few more times, to see how much I don't know.

Black Swan said...

Sorry, had to get coffee....

I googled Ludicfallacy8, which led to this link:

http://spoilertv.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=98&t=3153&start=0

Then I clicked on the link where Becky G says...

One of the books he mentioned is very interesting... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Island ... Day_Before

Black Swan said...

I have always wondered how that March has 32 Days thing would figure in all this:) I hope it's for real!!!!

Black Swan said...

I just did a myspace search for Ludicfallacy8 (every category) and the only thing that came up was a web search link to unfiction.com forums and us (lostargs.com)

Maybe when maven gets here, she can do a facebook search..

EmeraldIsLost said...

so ludicfallacy8 mentioned the book themselves. Ok. How else would ludicfallacy8 know about the bridge if they are not on the inside; theres been no mention of that specific bridge within game until now. Could have been a really good guess i suppose.. apparently it is one of the most famous instances of a bridge collapse; theres a youtube video of
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GP8NSyZ8Gmo
ps. i can do a facebook search if you want.

Black Swan said...

thanks, emeraldislost! OK, do a facebook search (wouldn't hurt:)

EmeraldIsLost said...

lol, found nothing :)

EmeraldIsLost said...

i love the fact that the island in that book is on the International Date Line, making it a day earlier.. it also sounds bit confusing; although the bit about it switching back and forth between his present and past life is very LOST...

Black Swan said...

Thanks for trying, emislost! Yes, it sounds LOST, and any link back to the March has 32 days is VERY interesting....

Hey look what my myspace friend, NOTLOST made me:

my very own black swan pimpmobile..lol

ANM said...

Sorry had to go shower...yep the whole bridge link is quite interesting but we'll have to wait and see...I'm not sold in ludicfallacy being an insider just yet.
In any case I'm off to see the grandparents, will log in later!

Zort70 said...

The questions were language / communications based, but still quite geeky.

Black Swan said...

Oh, right! I forgot you had to log in first. That's tricky of them. I wonder how the last test will go and if we'll have time to know the cheat before DWY goes to the next level?

TakesaVillage said...

Pimp yo ride Black Swan.

maven said...

I'm in Demeter and the cheat worked fine for me. A lot of my questions were computer related. One I remember was what did AOL stand for?

Black Swan said...

lol, takes a village!!! Yep...

Black Swan said...

Hi, maven! What does it stand for (AOL)? I probably knew at one time, but my brain has been leaking fluid lately:) What do you think of our groupings this time?

TakesaVillage said...

Demeter;mother of Persephone.

Codysmom: I've always thought that the groupings were random...one wasn't "better" than the next!

AOL=AmericaOnLine

Anonymous said...

Hey guys, new to posting but I just had to chime in to say that I'm on board with Ludicfallacy being part of the game, if not the black swan. It's just too much of a coincidence with the bridge collapse prediction and the username itself being in the book The Black Swan and the definition of Ludicfallacy. Too bad they haven't posted in a while...

Melissa_Lossa said...

maven - was one of your questions about the tone that you hear when you dial "1" on a touchtone phone?

Black Swan said...

Thanks, maven (DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I worry about my brain)..lol

I am tending to believe it too, anon.

Zort70 said...

Demeter;mother of Persephone.

Persephone - where are you when we need you

EmeraldIsLost said...

Hi anonymous, thanks for your opinion on this ludicfallacy thing; this bridge question has confused me; it could have been a really good guess; but, idk; its all seeming like too much of a coincidence? I don't believe in coincidences in Lost itself; everything has a purpose; so i'm thinking about believing in ludicfallacy. Sayidsgirl had convinced me otherwise before.. aah i'm so indecisive; thats something you should all know about me; i'm indecisive. and I can't make up my mind on this at all. Someone make up my mind for me?! lol.

Tess315 said...

lol emeraldislost
I know what you mean. The only thing about the ludicfallacy8 that did't make since to me was the comment about the bridge. Although I guess it could've been a really good guess after reading March has 32 days. But why that specific bridge?
If you take that part out I stand by my original thoughts on him/her.
They all think he/she is a troll at spoiler tv and they're usually right about these things.
So now I'm indecisive too.

TakesaVillage said...

I hope this isn't going to be another bridge to nowhere.

Tess315 said...

emerald
I was just looking for the youtube video of the bridge colapse cause I hadn't watched it yet, I didn't know you posted it. I re-read your post and realized I just said pretty much what you did. lol

MadAriad said...

OMG you guys all crack me up!
Pimpin the BS
That was actually the first time I've been rickrolled....

Bridge to nowhere - lol

Well I am in Demeter, many language and communications questions. I used the cheat on the questions I didn't know the answers to.

Very interesting about the whole bridge thing.

MadAriad said...

So - the bridge that collapsed and is mentioned in the test and mentioned by lucid is actually ON the international date line or something?

EmeraldIsLost said...

can i make up my mind to not make up my mind? coz if so, i've reached a decision.
So long as we're all mulling things over, lol, we're bound to repeat ourselves, so no big deal, Sayid'sgirl :)I want to know more about this bridge and why its so interesting, but i can't see anything that stand-outish, unless its just to re-emphasize the comic?

madariad; no the international dateline thing is from the book that ludicfallacy mentioned in one of his/her posts, found by codysmom; its called The Island of the Day Before, by Umberto Eco.

I'm still looking but so far I haven't come up with much. I found this.

At the time it opened for traffic in 1940, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge was the third longest suspension bridge in the world. It was promptly nicknamed "Galloping Gertie," due to its behavior in wind. Not only did the deck sway sideways, but vertical undulations also appeared in quite moderate winds. Drivers of cars reported that vehicles ahead of them would completely disappear and reappear from view several times as they crossed the bridge. Attempts were made to stabilize the structure with cables and hydraulic buffers, but they were unsuccessful. On November 7, 1940, only four months after it opened, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge collapsed in a wind of 42 mph—even though the structure was designed to withstand winds of up to 120 mph.

The failure came as a severe shock to the engineering community. Why did a great span, more than half a mile in length and weighing tens of thousands of tons, spring to life in a relatively light wind? And how did slow, steady, and comparatively harmless motions suddenly become transformed into a catastrophic force? To answer these questions engineers began applying the science of aerodynamics to bridge designs. Technical experts still disagree on the exact cause of the bridge's destruction, but most agree the collapse had something to do with a complex phenomenon called resonance: the same force that can cause a soprano's voice to shatter a glass.

So far I haven't seen any reference to the film of the collapse being shown to every physics students as a cautionary tale, or that the cause of the collapse (in part) was the result of aeroelastic flutter (which ludic compares to the destrution of flight 815)

A doppelgänger is the ghostly double of a living person, a sinister form of bilocation. bilocation!!!

Maybe the bridge collapse is only to go along with the "March has 32 Days" storyline?

Also, I didn't see it posted here, but the 12 Olympians of Greek mythology were immortals

ANM said...

Was R.Alpert an olympian too? lol

Hello, boo.boo.kitty--former Rachel Blake Refugee here.

I've been following along, and mostly just a lurker, but I noticed no one on this site has reported being in Apollo. I have two accounts, and in both accounts the tests I took were related to philosophy and psychology. Both times I ended up in Apollo.

I just wanted to let you guys know.

I'm mostly a lurker, cuz I can read, but can't post at work.

There's a new email out advising us of Test 6. Also lists the Instructors (they get a t-shirt!). Standard warning about Black Swan!
