& thanks congested!

yes, the power of devotion, conviction, and community will win every time. There may be some tiny little wins for those of little faith. But to (lightly) nod at V, devotion is the one thing that should scare you...

It would seem that TeeFury has someone running it that is a Lost fan. Be sure to check out their T-Shirt today (it's for one day only: Nov 6th)! It's the perfect accessory for a reveal day! :-)

I already bought one for me and one for my wife. If you like it... buy it now. Teefury sells one new T-Shirt every day, and for one day only... then never sells it again!

Happy reveal day everyone!

Cool Lost shirt:

@JPL - thanks for the encouraging words :)

@Midday - thanks for the compliment :) I appreciate your point of view too and agree that we all need to try to enjoy this craziness- as it will very shortly come to an end.

sigh.

Best of luck to everyone tomorrow!

Will said...

@Lottery Ticket - my twitter (and spoilertv ID) is willievee. Tried to follow you before but was blocked :/

Fried_Chicken said...

Sounds like tomorrow is gonna be interesting, to say the least... REALLY excited to see the reveal, and, as always, this ARG has been a roller coaster of emotions. I think Midday had a point... this ARG is pretty unique, a FUN time and a great community... so, if anything, ENJOY it! Enjoy the camaraderie. Revel in the pleasure. Share the pain. Help out if you can. That's what it's all about...

comixguru said...

OMG, I love the Polar Bear T-shirt!

http://www.teefury.com/

totally bought one. maybe i should get another. hmm... and then i could flip it on ebay for mmmmeeeeeeellliiiooooonnnnssss$$$$!!!

:)

comixguru said...

Fried_Chicken- right on!

Good night all! :)

Fried_Chicken said...

Sweet shirt... how much?

10 meeeelllleeeoowwwnnn dollars ;-)

@comixguru. Yeah I bought 2. Figured it'd be nice to have a spare of this one as I know I'll wear it out quickly. :)

Thanks for the head's up Mike.

Ben Ritter said...

That shirt owns. Bought one for myself and one for a friend's Christmas present.

Fried_Chicken said...

Congested, thanks for the reminder! Picked up a couple as they're a great gift and a sweet image... didn't realize how delish the design was 'til I took another look...

Kinda curious to see how many they end up selling with the drop tomorrow and the reminders that will be posted all day... it really is a cheap, perfect t for LOST fans :)

Congested said...

Yeah. $20 is the least i've paid for a decent t in a minute and that's x2 with shipping. o_O

Congested said...

ooh... and there are 15/16 sun rays visible. Also like the Maaaaaalt liquor joke & the constant ref. :)

Fried_Chicken said...

Maybe TeeFury is in on the whole DCaaPB and this is a lil foreshadowing to tomorrow's drop? Or maybe not... that's the beauty of this ARG, folks :)

Fried_Chicken said...

Anyone know if these are thinner, track shirts ala American Apparel or normal "festival" tee's?

MiddayShadows said...

That's an awesome tee! I guess it's 15 more t-shirt reveals to go then? :)

Anonymous said...

I don't think this "us and them" mindset equating latecomers with Ethan Rom is really in keeping with the spirit of Lost fandom. IMHO, the rabid fans who buy every poster (as opposed to their few favorites) are as much to blame for shortages as the flippers are.

The flippers already know the remaining URLs anyway, so we might as well play friendly and not fight amongst ourselves.

Here are the speakers and episode names for the remaining URLs, to prove that this information is out there (the order they'll be used isn't known).

Charlotte, "There’s No Place Like Home, Pt. 2"
Hurley, "Numbers"
Jack, "Orientation"
Jin, "The Whole Truth"
Juliet, "A Tale of Two Cities"

ekonomics said...

So I have class during the reveal, and I can't bring my laptop to class. What do I do?

Do I skip class for the good of the Lost ARG, or should I be a good student?

Patmc said...

Fried Chicken - I would say that the material for the TeeFury T-shirts are somewhere in the middle of those two extremes. Not quite the Hanes Beef-T type... but not nearly the wispy-thin material used on the shirts that ABC sells. And those are 3x as much!

I've purchased several T-shirts from them in the past... and have always been satisfied with them.

We should post the link to TeeFury over on DarkUFO, so that they flood TeeFury with orders. It might encourage them to offer more Lost T-shirts in the future... LOL

Lottery Ticket, will you please make sure I make it on the list? My twitter is @lbrprod (ignore the twitter messages, it's a production schedule for a podcast I produce, has nothing to do with LOST but I don't want to miss out on the info!)

thanks :)

Ben Ritter said...

Are the character names and episodes posted above in line with what others of you who have the URLs know? Frankly, with the thorough searching that goes on after every clue, I'm surprised a list of URLs hasn't been leaked (that I've been able to find, at least).

What I'd really love to be leaked is the images themselves (or at least a description of what they portray), so I know which ones to stress out over and which ones to pass on by.

Anonymous said...

@midday

I am scared of you. You give the eb-ers the urls.

Try to spread the hatred. But many many reveals ago, we did not sell so fast. And it was not because of "lost fans", it's because of you. Giving everyone a chance...

Yeah, tell it to the wall. When LT or Zort missess another print... i know who's to blame.

Only need one finger to point...

Zort70 said...

After all the chat about the usual subject when waiting for a reveal, all I can say is that people with fast internet connections are more of an obstacle to purchasing than any particular group of people.

My hand cranked / hamster powered connection warms up like valves in a wireless radio, and barely registers before the Sold Out sign is lit.

thorsten said...

Zort, do you remember how they created power beyond thunderdome?

(n) said...

wow, i wish people wouldn't get so heated about this. I understand the frustration but come on, there's absolutely no reason to be mean and point fingers and assign blame.

Zort70 said...

(n) I have to agree.

We need to enjoy the experience, not get so paranoid about what others (no pun intended) might be doing.

This site and the ones before it were set up by people that wanted to share in the magic of Lost and the marketing campaigns, whatever form that may take.

Continually going over the same ground here isn't going make things change, and in fact stiring up bad feeling may make things worse.

If I thought that the enjoyment of what is going on could be enhanced by stopping this site then I would have done so already.

If there are any flippers / scalpers / profiteers here that are just here to try and make money then you should be ashamed of yourselves, whether you are just reading the info or hiding your true intentions when you comment. If you wish to discuss that point then do not post about it here email the admins (at) lostargs.com email address.

To everyone else welcome and lets have some fun.

(n) said...

Well said Zort!

I've had a very good time with this ARG and it's largely due to the folks here. I'm constantly checking here and anxiously waiting for my Swan Station print so I can post my print # on here and DarkUFO.

I've been disappointed by fast sell outs, and heart broken when I heard about Zort or Lottery Ticket, who go far and beyond your average participant and contribute a great deal of time and effort to keep all of us up to date, not getting a print. It sucks. But really, let's not go to pieces. Don't panic. It will be OK.

Anyway, here's hoping for a great print this afternoon!

What's that Flipper, the Dharma Initiative have started fitting laser beams to sharks ?

ChrisL said...

I'm too stressed about today! In the UK so at least the timing is OK and I don't have to worry about work etc.

I'm feeling bad that I fed the flippers, bought the Swan Station off ebay, I couldn't not have it I so love Rob Jones work and the Swan is such an iconic part of LOST.

Really appreciate the updates here and hope that the true LOST fans win out today. My daughter (10 years old and as big a fan as me) and I will be poised and hoping for the best. I don't Twitter so I guess my only hope is here for the URL. I hope you guys won't hold back because of the flippers.

Zort70 said...

Hi Chris, yes reveal day does get exciting / stressful.

Sad that you had to buy the poster from someone that hasn't even received it themselves yet, but good that you have one.

ChrisL said...

@Zort70 I know - on one hand I'm angry at the seller that he could even think of selling it without even holding it in his hands and saying WOW! All about the money, but on the other hand...Oh Man I had to have it. Given up on The Crash though.

Just got my Dharma Van back from the framer yesterday - fabulous.

@Mike - thanks for that shirt URL - Just bought one for me and one for Jr!

LostinLondon said...

OK - i am officially a bad person. I am going to lie about having to leave dinner early tonight so I can get to computer and try and get the poster!

I am also going to our new flat which we haven't moved into and has absolutely no furniture or anything, just an internet connection because that is closer to the restaurant than where we are staying at the moment!

I better snag one after all that!

v excited for the reveal though!

JPL said...

Morning All & Happy Reveal Day!

See you all a bit before the reveal.

@Those tweeting from SF - Thanks again!

ChrisL said...

@LostinLondon - that made me smile! I wondered from reading all your previous stuff how you were going to resist it!!

Sounds like you'll have nothing to distract you - good luck

Attorney Greg said...

So is it to early to start F5ing? Let the long anxious wait begin.

LostinLondon said...

:) Thanks Chris! I hope you manage to get one with your daughter!

Good luck to everyone and will see you all back here when I have ditched dmy inner companions and am sitting in a freezing empty flat with my laptop!

Attorney Greg said...

@Zort - thanks for the clocks

I especially like knowing what time it is in Mumbai. Now I just have to figure out where that is.

Kelly said...

Great find Chris! Fantastic site!! Good luck today, everybody. Will be trying to get a lot of work done earlier so I can have the 3pm-4pm hour to myself!!! *praying i don't get called into a meeting*

Zort70 said...

Attorney Greg, I put that one up for me as I deal with people in India a lot at work so it is very useful.

Lars said...

So, I asked this once, maybe I should ask again. Is the URL still going to end up here, or since it seems as though we're trying to be all secretive now it'll only be released on those following specific people on twitter?

I haven't been posting on here since frame 1, but I have since frame 8, and I'm totally understanding all the hostility toward the...uh..."others" but I'm not quite sure what to do here.

If someone would email me at sirphobos11 at gmail dot com, or send me a message at sirphobos1 on twitter, let me know what I need to do to make sure I don't miss out on the reveal...

Dan said...

Morning & Afternoon, All! So psyched for later! Beginning my long journey today and hope to be back in time for "gametime" :)

All of this "secretative stuff" is insane.
I am a REAL FAN of Lost, but i'm from Italy. Where the hell can i have the link, in you don't post it on the net? It would suck..

Unknown said...

Good morning, good Morning!

Is everyone bright, sun shiny, and ready for the reveal?

I love Tee Fury! They have some of the greatest shirts. Check it daily.

Zort70 said...

As much as I don't like the thought of people that are going to try and make a profit coming here and getting the information I can't see how we can withhold information that becomes public knowledge.

You should be able to follow the list without following me. I'm trying to only list URL reveal followers. So, if you are attending Super7 in SF today, please let me know.

TweetFollowFrame12

I see notes above regarding adding to the list or "blocked" from my Twitter feed. Hmmm. I see you willievee. You don't appear to be blocked now. Did you try to follow the list? I'll be updating this morning and again at noon (MT).

So far I have @jopinionated (big fan), @busparking and @clairegrum covering the reveal.

Got my teefuries ordered!

Amy Lynn said...

please, please let today's poster be So and So Artist for Ben and Desmond's secret love affair.

Unknown said...

goood morning. good luck to everyone today
@amy lynn- lol that would probably sell out in a few seconds.

Unknown said...

When do you actually have the print safely in the cart? Is it after you have entered and processed all your information, or simply when you select the print?

Attorney Greg said...

@ Zort - thank, you saved me having to look up that its in India.

It never hurts to learn a little geography with your LOST

Unknown said...

Joined twitter. Do I just have to follow those people listed by LotteryTicket?

Unknown said...

So, I'm here as a Super7 fan more than as a Lost fan, but those of you who've never been to the store are in for a real treat. Aside from their own in-house designs, S7 offers the best selection of Japanese kaiju figures anywhere in the US. If your knowledge of Japanese monsters begins with Godzilla and ends with Mothra and Rodan, you're in for some happily hallucinogenic surprises. (Check out the Barom-1 figures from Rainbow.) Glenn from S7 posted the 12-noon time last evening, with the comment "Don't be late."

PessimisticLines said...

@Casey - When you get all the way through checkout and get confirmation. Simply putting it in your cart doesn't hold it for you. That's why you have to be fast.

Zort70 said...

Mike the answer is in the comments above.

Ellen said...

Good morning everyone. I won't be here for long. I have the creeping crud, otherwise known as the flu. To top that off, the next-door neighbors are having a tree cut down, and I'm going to be listening to chain saws all day. Time for ear plugs!

I do have some advice to those of you who haven't done this before (try to get a poster). Do your homework. There is lots of information on this site. You've got almost six hours to get caught up. And don't get your hopes up too high. This is a very tough competition.

Sweet dreams to me!

JT said...

Amy Lyn- OH me too! LOL

Zort- Love the clocks- thanks

Leaving work early to get home to computer I can use without guilt- oh wait- should feel guilty about leaving early...

Good luck!

Zort70 said...

Hope you fell better soon Ellen.

Good point about the competition look at it this way, there were over 500 votes in the last poll we had for the favourite poster so far.

There are only 200 posters available so it will be really tough to get one if all 500 people, plus the people that did not vote, want it.

Ellen said...

Thanks, Zort. I suspect it's many more than 500. Anyway, I need to go back to bed before I get too involved in this conversation! I'll read comments when I wake up!

MJCarp said...

kyle, just click link above

ReverendMilo said...

For those concerned about the URL, remember we get it the same way every time.

We follow the hub.

Amy Lynn said...

@RevMilo... Huh? If you wait for the hub, the poster will be long, long gone.

ChrisL said...

When and Why did this all become so hard???!!! And to think some of us were "hmmm maybe, maybe not" about the early posters... oh for the luxury of that time to consider again!

Never gonna happen. I give it 30 seconds today.

oof!

geekboypress said...

Hey fellow poster-maniacs! Got a proposition for anyone attending the reveal today. If you are able to grab me whatever they give out at the store, i'd be more than happy to trade you a tshirt or print from my site on etsy:http://www.etsy.com/shop/geekboypress

Good luck everyone! Let's keep the prints in the family!

Will said...

@Lottery Ticket - thanks! not sure why it was giving me the "blocked" error before. I'm still new to twitter, so who knows, maybe it was on my end?

ChrisL said...

So who's going to be there?

Capcom said...

Happy poster day Argies.

Hey Ellen, I meant last night that on MM it was kind of sad about what developed with the Draper's marriage. I remember the Kennedy thing vividly as well, I was in school and we can back in from recess and all of a sudden the atmosphere got very weird, and then of course the announcement, and teachers crying, etc. P.S. hope you feel better soon.

Mr.Zort, you are the Zen Master Mensch! And I also have the "hand cranked / hamster powered connection", heheh.

feel_the_insanity said...

Hey everyone, long time no see. School's been crazy lately, but I've been following and keeping up. Hope everyone is ready for reveal day. I estimate that 30 seconds is the time to beat today, it's going to be crazy!

And to all the "new" people trying to find out how to buy a poster...go back and read the comments from the last posters. I don't think anyone wants to type up a lengthy set of instructions telling you the history of this ARG. You're just going to have to do what we did, figure it out yourself. No one is going to give you the URL, you're going to have to find it. Sorry, but that's the way it is. And please...stop with the flipper talk!! Jeez! It's really getting old!

John Locke's Wheelchair said...

Hey everybody! I just wanted to say good luck. Here's to skipping class to buy a poster. Woo college!

Lars said...

@Lottery_Ticket

Thanks for the add, and clearing up some confusion on my part. Bring on 3PM!

Side note: the teefury shirt is awesome! I had to buy one.

Capcom said...

Well, I think that a more diplomatic way to put that would be to tell the newbies to just A) keep watching the current thread posts; B) the blog frontpage; and C) the hub page of DCAAPB (F5 F5 F5...). Then you have as much of a chance as everyone.

Good luck to all who try to get today's booty! :-D

jdcurtis said...

Just logged logged into chat but I must be way too early because ony 4 people are in the room

Unknown said...

But, like every othe reveal, the url will be posted in other places besides DCAAPB

Roxanna said...

Thanks, Capcom. I haven't made it back to bed yet, but I will. The chain saws are just a bit irritating. Interesting that you and I had a similar experience with the JFK thing. I was in school as well. It was positively eerie and scarey. OK, back to more positive things. My bed is calling me!

Capcom said...

Right, JD, I was just giving them the "Poster ARG For Dummies" version. :o)

MiddayShadows said...

@anon... just checking in this morning and just read your comment(3:54am)- you are obviously attributing a different post-ers comment to me. I never gave any urls out to anyone ANYwhere. At min I'm gonna get that awesome t-shirt today.

mistersh0w said...

@Congested - I'm offended you didn't add me to the "be-afraid-of-FAST-Fingers" group!

I've consistently been order 3-4 the past 4 prints!

Also in regards to selling the prints on Ebay, it sucks but, it's your money, and your print. If you want to use it to chop vegetables on, it's your right.

I've said before, on the DarkUFO forums, if push came to shove and I needed the money, I'd sell one in a heartbeat. Sorry if that pisses anyone off, but I bought them to admire, and cherish, but the same goes for all of my rare collectibles and special items, I'd sell them in a bind, no problem.

How about a bunny with an "8" painted on it from Kinkaide?

knightsintodreams said...

probably pictures of rabbits with numbers on them :P

Capcom said...

I wish that they would print the painting in Ben's house too, so then we could have the Swan Mural, the Black Rock, the Dog, and Portrait Of A lady With A Hamster.

Personally, an Anne Geddes with baby Aaron - the Goober himself - dressed up as a fuzzy polar bear would be sweet!

so yesterday, in the spirit of LOSTie-ness, i watched this years LOST comicon panel on youtube. Even though i was there live- seeing it again was even better than i remembered it. (because at the time, i was standing in line trying to ask a question- with some woman SCREEEAMING in my ear for an hour. god, i hated her) so unfortunately, at the time, i couldn't appreciate how awesome the panel really was until yesterday when i re-watched it.

maybe that is a lesson for all of us- to maybe take a step back and try to enjoy ourselves in this moment as much as possible since it really is nerve racking but probably not nearly as annoying as a shrill voiced woman screeching in your ear yelling inane things for an hour.

LOST!

It is ridiculous how many times I check for updates here and DCAAPB despite knowing it's still 1:51 away.

I am obsessed as well with reloading pages! And trying to get fully prepared for 3 o' clock!

Jesse! Rikkitik said...

@Zort Do you think because I registered last night w/ a handle for chat that could be blocking me? I was at work and I'm at home now... I tried in chorme IE and firefox and keep getting the blank white window.

Geoffrey said...

Hey hey everybody! Getting checked in and set up for the reveal. Good luck!

I resent the notion that people are whining when everyone here has at least one poster. When this game launched I thought it was an inspired idea to mix art (my profession) and unique memorabilia. It was my understanding that the idea was to reward fans with artworks representing classic/favourite moments/iconography. In my head that meant buying a poster that I most identified with either through the content or the style of the poster. The first one that I connected with was the transmission but I didn't get the chance to purchase it, and now every poster reveal makes me more anxious that i'm gonna miss out again to flippers, collectors of artists and those who want more. Not that wanting a few/them all is that bad a thing, but with such limited numbers and such a large "community" surrounding the game it's sad that this activity is depriving other fans of a very special memento.

So yes, not everyone here actually has one yet!

Scoutpost said...

Hey comixguru and/or anyone on here...
anyone committed to going to ComicCon 2010 yet? Too bad we all didn't meet last July, since we were all camping out in the same place.
