A new research project is about to commence which will play a vital role in furthering the Dharma Initiative’s objectives.

Yay! I passed too, though of course my score and ranking is missing.

So who can translate that woman in the background?

And do you think anyone in San Diego used any of those words that we got to multiple choice?

According to the "What Is This?" at the bottom of the page there will be one assessment a week. So when and where do we think Ruckus Guy might strike again?

Black Swan said...

while I'm waiting.... give me the answers! lol

memphish said...

I knew I should have taken notes, but I was too excited to be able to get this done and now go to sleep! See you all tomorrow. Thanks for the posting work Dennis.

I gather we all passed! Yeah. Took a while to find a profile pic! LOL

That bg language sounded Dutch or something. I was just concentrating so hard on the questions, didn't pay much attention. These upcoming tests should be interesting.

P.S. I wonder what the "research project" will be that is mentioned on the "about us" page. Hmmm.

Tess315 said...

Anyone else find it strange that the default birthday on the form was july 17, '78?

maven said...

Dennis, we can always count on you. I just couldn't take everything in at once! Anxious to see what you come up with!

So all this waiting today was just basically to set up your profile page!

melodious: Good catch. Of course, I wonder what THAT means! LOL It too me forever to get to my birth year...it was difficult to land on it!

maven said...

Hey, Jess!

I couldn't get my TLC pic up with Elizabeth. Had to use an older one. I don't know why.

Capcom said...

Come back tomorrow Eugene!

I passed, but I could have passed abysmally. :-)

'Night all!

Capcom said...

BTW, good thought Melodious. I did a quickie search on the date after you posted that and didn't come up with anything interesting in the first few pages. We should try more maybe.

Losty said...

so, for anyone that hasn't seen it, check out the "about us" page.

Screencap

wonder what the new project will be? Any thoughts?

Black Swan said...

OK, finally done.

There's a leaderboard again. It says "the names of the 10 highest scoring recruits in each test will be displayed here for your review. This info will be regularly updated. Official Volunteer Assessment commences soon."

According to Lostpedia, Kate Austen and Hugo Reyes were born in 1977. Charlotte Lewis in 1979.

I thought maybe Hugo. . .

Good night all.

For once use west coasters got a good time when this thing went live! I wonder if they're going to stay on this timetable when we get these tests each week?

Black Swan said...

Yep, maven, good timing for the left coast this time, but I'm thinking it won't always be this late.

It's weird... I got sick of waiting for it to load on my desktop pc, so I went to my laptop and everything worked like a charm. Now I'm back to the desktop and the dharmawantsyou page is still trying to load!

maven said...

Is anyone having trouble loading a particular pic for your profile? I wonder why it took my older pic and wouldn't take the one I use here.

Black Swan said...

I decided to put the same avi as I did for my Dharmawantsyou profile. This is Hurley, my bichon.

Black Swan said...

I didn't have any trouble, maven. hmmmm

Dennis said...

Maven, how big is the photo? There is a 2MB limit...

Here are the photo guidelines:

How to upload a photo
To upload a photo, click on the 'Upload Photo' link.
A navigation window will open.
Select the file you want to upload to dharmawantsyou.com(NOTE - choose a portrait that will roughly fit the shape of the example).
There is a 2MB limit on the picture size.
Select the picture and click 'OK'.
The picture will be uploaded and will appear in the portrait box.
Use the 'zoom' control (on the side of the portrait box) to adjust the size of the picture.
You can adjust the position of the picture by clicking and holding on it to move it around.
Make sure you click 'save' when registering.

maven said...

I did read all that, Dennis. Thanks. I guess the one with Elizabeth is too big.

Black Swan said...

dennis, any ideas why dharmawantsyou.com won't load on my desktop (using IE), but has no problem on my laptop (using Firefox)?

Black Swan said...

I just got an e-mail from Hans Van Eeghan

Black Swan said...

It's just telling me to head over to Dharmawantsyou.com and sign up.... a little late...

maven said...

Has anyone taken the Dharma octagon apart and played with the pieces. It seems like there might be a puzzle, like the old wooden dinosaurs I'd put together as a kid.

Let us know if you've found a deeper meaning to the octagon pieces...it's interesting how the pieces move in 3d when you click on the various options on the DWY site. Makes me think a puzzle of some sort is lurking.
