The Profiles in History website seems to be down at the moment.

Hi Lisa, I thought I was alone.

Unknown said...

Not alone.

Holy crap. 80 Bids bids on the pilot script. I wonder what price it is at, atm.

Zort70 said...

Hi Jason, 80 bids, but they could all be for the same amount, that's the thing with absentee bids you never know what amount someone else has bid.

I hope we get to see the final sale proce for these items, just for interest sakes.

MJCarp said...

Good morning. I read somewhere in fine print that you can request final sale prices three days after close of auction. Hopefully, those inside can report today's results as they happen.

Jo's Tumblr account http://jogarfein.tumblr.com/ for images if this hasn't been linked elsewhere.

You are right Zort. 80 (now 81) bids could be all the same however I just cant put myself to believe that all of the bids are within the 300-500 range.

Good morning all bidders!! Up and getting ready to head on over to Santa Monica. LT, I do plan on keeping track (of at least the bigger, iconic pieces) of what they go for.

I will do my best to keep you all up to date through twitter:
@bonniejgreen

Good morning all! I am just about to leave the hotel for the hangar (after a coffee stop of course!). I have a spreadsheet made to keep track of all final bids on all items (NERD ALERT!!). So I will have the info if you want a specific lot number. I will also be tweeting updates today and tomorrow. My twitter account is @justibbs.

Zort70 said...

THanks Justin, and Maven.

I've posted the first pic of the day on the main page.

When you register on LIve Auctioneers, the $500 requirement IS STILL THERE AS PART OF THE TERMS:

In order to bid in this auction, you will need to register with us prior to the sale and you will be charged a good faith deposit of $500 on your credit card prior to the auction which will be applied to any successful bids. In the event nothing is purchased, or the total purchase price is less than $500, the remaining balance will be promptly credited to your credit card. No exceptions.

Please someone at the auction clear this up! No one at Profiles answers, they are at the event!

Zort70 said...

They have said via email that they no longer require the deposit and I have registered and been approved online without any deposit.

PIH are shocking at communication and are not coordinated in any way.

Unknown said...

If any of you guys need help concerning the auction, on the top right of the LiveAuctioneers website, there is a yellow button saying "?Live Help". Might be worth checking that out.

Also, awesome picture of the hatch!

Zort70 said...

The doors are open, prepare for lots of photo's !

concernedcollector said...

I did that jason, they said contact Profiles. Profiles office does not answer, they are AT THE BARKER HANGER. This is a clusterF.

concernedcollector said...

Someone at the auction please tell Profiles that the LA site still has the $500 clause. if it is not going to be applied the CONTRACT ONLINE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED.

Zort70 said...

The live chat seems to be any thing other than live.

I just asked a question, pressed submit and the window disappeared.

Yeh.... I just checked it out just then.

Its weird because an hour ago, I accidentally clicked on it and I didn't notice. When I checked the window (10 minutes later), I'm pretty sure that someone did say "Hello, how can we help?" though they exited the chat since I didn't respond.

Zort70 said...

I've just put a great picture of Comixguru with the DHARMA computer on the main page.

However I'm going to a family dinner for a couple of hours now so I'll miss the start of the auction.

Let us know if anything interesting happens.

Holy Crap! Jack Bender's Chair Back sold for $3250

Unknown said...

Is there anyone else watching the auction besides me?

Lisa-Maladylis said...

I am, I'm sitting here wondering who would buy a dirty pair of cut off pants for 425 lol Charlies is going right up there !

Unknown said...

Hahaha... Man, this stuff is more going for more than I expected. I thought the clothing would get cheaper.

Zort70 said...

Right, back now.

I guess any thought of a bargain is out of the window !

Has anyone seen any place you can get sound / video ? Is anyone live streaming ?

Unknown said...

Not that I know of... Also, I've been recording the Auction Prices of each Lot so if anyone is interested, just shoot.

Zort70 said...

That's great Jason, how much did the Locke knife set in the case go for ? Lot 152

Unknown said...

Locke's Knife Set and Rimowa Tropicana Trolley Case went for $7500 and was sold to someone on the internet.

Zort70 said...

Wow that is a lot for some knives.

I've been watching since I got back and there are some rich people around !

Unknown said...

No kidding. I highly doubt I'm going to get anything. If I don't, I'll get the Lost Season 1-6 Bluray Boxset in a matter of seconds.

Zort70 said...

Twitter predictions for the DS ring

$3,500 - zort
$5000 - Scoutpost
$6800 - RobPerrin
$9200 - Nerderific (changed from $8000)
$9000 - Bonnie

Lisa-Maladylis said...

so Bonny got it ?

Unknown said...

How much did Charlie's boarding pass go for? I missed it :S

vabauer said...

hey guys, haven't posted here in a while, but I thought I'd check in to see what everyone thinks about the auction, there's some REALLY rich Lost fans out there!!!

I'm in shock really, I don't consider myself in a bad shape financially, but spending $1,400 for a few Oceanic bottles is way out of my league!!

concernedcollector said...

wonder what the bidder who paid out the butt for Kate's model airplane is going to do when they find out its not the screen used version!

concernedcollector said...

BTW the Locke knife set is misidentified, see thepropblog for details!

vabauer said...

I didn't catch Charlie's boarding pass, but Locke's went for $2,750, wow, I even bid on that one, but waaaay less than that, Locke's my favourite character and I was hoping to get something from him, but the way things are going I think my wife would sell my car to pay for my silly Lost props!!

vabauer said...

watching season 4 btw, getting ready for Tuesday's Lost collection... hadn't watched the series in a while, it's always a thrill!!

Zort70 said...

Charlies boarding pass went for $1400

Unknown said...

Thanks Zort. Man... The Production Artwork is like at a gazillion dollars now aka 14k. :(

Lisa-Maladylis said...

I have to say it actually makes me sick to think that someone would toss out 14K for some paper. that's enough for me, I'm off to bed.

concernedcollector said...

other fan auctions like this put one or two pieces of artwork at a time so people can actually buy it... that was ridiculous.

Zort70 said...

Even if the person that bought the artwork, sells it off in pieces, they would never recoup the cost of purchase.

Zort70 said...

Hatch door is busting all records so far

Zort70 said...

$16,000 for the hatch door, wow !

And we are on to season 2.

Unknown said...

I'm going to stop recording prices now. It's sucking up so much time and I have some work to finish by tonight. I'll continue watching the auction though.

Zort70 said...

At least you got through one seasons worth :-)

Unknown said...

Yup :D

Zort70 said...

Mr Clucks chicken costume, now who doesn't need that ?

The Kharma Initiative said...

Jason, did you keep recording long enough to catch 216 - Set design model of the Swan station hatch?

Cosmically Yours

Unknown said...

Yup. The Set Design Model of the Swan Station Hatch went for 1.6k (10% of the Swan Statino Hatch Door)

Unknown said...

LOL, HOLY MOLY! Season 1 = Total of 365-370k. I can't tell you the exact price because I didn't record 3 of the items (Set of Oceanic Airlines Pilot ID Badges and Luggage Tags, Crystallized Black Rock Dynamite and Radar and Equipment Used on Raft in Season One Finale).

I thought I was 'extremely obsessed' with Lost but after today, I think I'm at the rank of just 'interested' and even perhaps an 'average viewer'.

The Kharma Initiative said...

Thanks Jason!

I think many of us are re-evaluating our obsession. But we've spent a lot of *time* on Lost (F5 F5 F5), even if we haven't spent that much money!

And we're even spending time watching the auction now, without buying. *That's* obsession.

Unknown said...

Very good point, TKI. Does anyone else here still watch Lost like once a week? Also, did anyone buy the Complete Collection?

vabauer said...

After a few months here, I think folks here are at the same level of obsession, we're super fans of the show, anytime we can we talk about it, theorize, etc, etc, but I guess not everyone's pockets are deep enough to actually own a piece of the show.

I don't think it has to do with obsession, more with economy, I know if I had won the lottery last night I would be buying everything!!

vabauer said...

is the Russian Mafia bidding on this? $11,000 for Desmond's Fail Safe key?!!!?

Zort70 said...

$16,000 for the hatch computer, even though it has a Tempest logo on it !!

vabauer said...

I thought the hatch computer would break the record... maybe locke's coffin ...

theotherben said...

Charlie's DS ring goes for $8500!

Unknown said...

"They wanted to give something back to the fans..." Super rich fans.

Zort70 said...

If you are interested the final bid prices for all the items are now on the PIH website.

ChrisL said...

Zort, could you post the URL for the PIH final bid prices... can't find it. Thanks

Anyone know what time the auction went to last night?

Zort70 said...

I've created a NEW POST for day 2 of the auction and exhibit

Zort70 said...

Someone tweeted that it went on until 11:30pm PST.

Very late / early depending on where you are.

Zort70 said...

"susan212 #lostauction day 1 finally ended after 11 hrs of bidding. And they said 1-3pm!I will definitely miss out on lots tomorrow so I make flight "
