Ronie Midfew makes a call - NamARTe 40

Paul has received a call from Ronie Midfew, and responds with some Lost quotes

There is a mention of a Facebook page and the wrong Alexandra Miller.

He also misquotes the Ronie Midfew website - "The 15th is LOST and the 16th will be FOUND" and asks us for suggestions as to what this might mean.

Paul is insistent that on Saturday we will be able to see "dozens" of paintings and some might even be glow in the dark !

Update : Alexandra Miller has posted a comment on Paul's blog

Mr. Scheer,

Our abrupt phone call obviously did not solve any of the current problems your website and impending art sale bring upon Ronie Midfew Arts. We have concerns that need to be addressed with you directly. These concerns will be addressed. Our problem is not with those visiting your site, or awaiting your set sale date, it is with you Mr. Scheer, and your disregard for the hard-working people that Mr. Midfew employs. There are wheels in motion that you are not aware of. Mr, Midfew is currently finding a way to explain these to you soon.

I wonder if the misquote by paul is deliberate ?

The quote on the Ronie Midfew site is :

15 Will be lost The 16th Will be Found

Paul has put

The 15th is LOST and the 16th will be FOUND

He also misquotes the name of his nemesis at the beginning, calling it 'Ronie Midfew Fine Arts' instead of just 'Ronie Midfew Arts.' A lot of people have already speculated that this is an anagram for 'Widmore Fine Arts;' are the ARG masterminds getting sloppy?

Lisa-Maladylis said...

he looks like he's just having fun being silly

Zort70 said...

Good question Marshall, I'm realy wondering how much Paul has been told about what is happening, whether he has just been told to release his paintings no matter what happens or whether he has a deeper understanding of any bigger picture / story that there may be.

There's alot of Locke quotes. And a mention of the outback travel agent.
Could this mean time will reset right before the plane crash? Probably not.

There's an mention of Eko and Charlie's song lyrics. Could we be seeing them in Season 6. Eko didn't show up until season 2 so I don't know how that would work. Darlton said we'd see some season 1characters.

That's assuming there are any clues in that post at all. lol
Why do I keep thinking we're going to get some season 6 scenes painted in velvet? Or Season 1 returning characters.
I'm half afraid to look at these paintings when they're posted. ;)

Zort70 said...

Sayid'sgirl, yes I wonder if the paintings will be fun like DCaaPB or whether they will be recognisable scenes from the past or as you say hints at what might happen.

Capcom said...

Quick work Zort!

Haha Sayidsgirl, velvet spoilers! But they're still spoilers, even if they are in velvet.

Is Scheer really an artist? With the speed of these new paintings, something tells me that there was some production line painting going on here, heheh. Not necessarily so, but just sayin'. :o)

Zort70 said...

Capcom I hope you are not suggesting that Paul isn't really creating these paintings and that someone might be pulling the strings behind the curtain.

Tess315 said...

It just dawned on me "Alexandra" Miller as in "Alex". lol

I haven't seen glow in the dark velvet paintings since the '70s. Anyone have a black light? ;)

Melissa_Lossa said...

I love his description of the painting - a wolf with Locke's head hollowing at the moon, only the moon is Jack's face.

If there's a spoiler in there, then I am VERY afraid of season 6!

Capcom said...

LOL Zort! Nahhhhhhhhhh. :o)

Yes, that's pretty frightening imagery Melissa. Heheh, Jack's face in the moon makes me think of the Honeymooners' moon.

Capcom said...

Hmmm, Scheer's Wiki page doesn't mention anything about him being a rapidfire prolific painter who can turn out three full paintings in one night. :-B

Okay so here's a totally random thought that I had when I heard Alexandra Miller's name. At some point I thought that Thomas' last name was Miller (Claire's BF & Aaron's dad) I have wondered in the past if Thomas was related to Ben somehow. So my Far-Fetched Theory Of The Day is that somehow Ben Linus is also Ben Miller or something and Thomas and Alexandra are somehow adoptive siblings of a sort.

Of course now I got looking at Lostpedia and there is no mention that Thomas even has a lost name, so I don't know if I'm even right about that but whatever......

I left a note on Paul's site telling him I'm psyched to see the new glow-in-the-dark velvet paintings.

Totally off topic - My son is starting Kindergarten today! So I might be a little neurotic/emotional, lol.

You're going to be a nervous wreck until he gets home aren't you?
I bet you can't wait until he comes home and tells you all the grat things he did today.

Madariad: Tell your son that everything you ever learn is learned in kindergarten!

Velvet spoilers! LOL

Hope we can definitely see the glow-in-the dark effect!

I was just now looking at the discrepancies in the "16th will be found" messages. Originally, the first part said that 15 will be lost (future tense). But Paul's version is that the 15th is lost (present tense). So does that mean that at some point between the first message and today the 15th "something" became lost?

Maybe there will be a total of 16 "something's" that will be lost, and out of those 16, the 15th is now currently lost. Eventually all 16 "something's" will become lost. Then at some point, the 16th will be found. Perhaps these "something's" are disappearing one at a time.

Or maybe I'm reading WAY too much into this and just have too much time on my hands.

Naaahhhhhhhh...

Hey guys
I've been reading some posts over at the Fuselage on DC&PB and found this. It's pretty interesting. WARNING this is going to be long.
Do you think this could be something or not?

From the Fuselage
AdAstraPerASpera posted
Okay, I looked through all the pages and didn't see anyone bring this up, and it may be nothing...but did anyone look at the HTML code from damoncarltonandapolarbear.com? When you look at the "Sawyer's rejected nicknames" post, it looks normally formatted, right?

Like this?

http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/533...knamelist1.jpg

All even formatting, all normal spacing... when you look at the source code, it looks like this:

http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/104...knamelist2.jpg

The formatting on the screen would work out the same regardless of how it's formatted there, but It's like they're trying to break it up intentionally....Maybe the groups are sentences of anagrams?

The groups would be:

Capt. Post-it Note
Soup
Tina Turnover
Yugo

Sentimental Lady
Marmaduke

Wet Pita
Tommy Little Neck
Felt Eyes

Mr. Farts A-Lot

Swern Halston
Yogurt Eyes

Crotch Monkey

Howie Mandel

Not to mention, the nicknames aren't even funny (Yogurt eyes?), clever or really related to anything....seems like there's more to it IMO. I'm just too fail with anagrams to try it.

:hmm:

Quote:
I have found a few interesting Anagrams for: Swern Halston
Yogurt Eyes

And they are:
Huge Story Reset Swan Only or, Huge Story Only Swan Reset

Gutsy Hero Reset Swan Only

Other Guy Reset Swan Only

calypso
I think i got one or i'm close to get one...
it's for Howie Mandel

I find: I We land home.
Maybe it's: "I, We land home"
(Jack and the losties???)

What do you think?

Maybe each anagram solved can later be included in a message...like:

Gutsy hero reset swan only
I land home, we
start from LA
Tattoo pop singer isn't over
You count Tau
etc...

Ok so i got this...

from:
Wet Pita
Tommy Little neck
Felt eyes

Spoiler:
My wife Kate meet C. Littleton, Let spy

And from:
Crotch monkey

i got this:

Spoiler:
on C. coke rythm

lol

So the message would be from Sawyer i suppose because he's the one who's giving nicknames...lol
and it says:

Quote:
Gutsy hero reset swan only
I land home, we
start from LA
Tattoo pop singer isn't over
You count Tau
C. Littleton meet my wife Kate, let spy
on C. coke rythm
undreamlike stately madman

lol
I'm probably wrong but at least it's funny and comforting to think that kate and Sawyer are married! lol

I was looking around the net to see if I could find something about the picture of Locke on Paul's blog post as it is named 'header23.png'

It seems to come from 'www.theblackrock.org' which is an old fan site that isn't updated much these days.

(By the way don't let small children visit the Evangeline Lilly Gallery !)

Zort70 said...

Sayid'sgirl, yes I saw that post and wasn't sure if it means anything or not.

I have a feeling there might be something there but we haven't been given the key to decoding it yet. Maybe sometime soon we will have a password to find and the clue might be a nickname of some sort.

OMG! I just listened to the podcast at DocArtz! It was very entertaining and was basically very serious! But 2 times Paul mentioned other works of Lost art...like drawings, paintings, hatch condos, and QUILTS. I'd like to think it was a shout-out to my Lost quilt! LOL

New post at DC&PB.
Phat Alpert. Why the long hair in the '70s?

maven said...

Seems this thing might be leading in the direction of bringing up some burning questions us Lost fans keep mentioning...like why Richard had long, shaggy hair when he met Ben. No answers, but some fun!

MJCarp said...

Dharma Apples with trademark?

So we went from LA X to Richard Alpert's hair. Weird.

Are they making the connection that S6 will open with RA back story?

Nike Air Lax 1 - Just do it.

La - Lanthanum

Lanthanum was discovered by Carl Gustaf Mosander at 1839 in Sweden. Origin of name: from the Greek word "lanthanein" meaning "to lie hidden"

Honestly, I thought that whole scene with Ben talking to his mother and then Ben was a DREAM.

MJCarp said...

Jon L and Alex K at DocArzt in on the ARG with Paul? Listening to podcast posted today. They seem to be in on ARG.

Paul: "painting coming to me in dreamstate" like Heroes.

It was suggesting that a new website is going up on Sat. midnight.

Found diagram: dropped the piece of paper, suggests stopping YouTube video, glyphs seem to be important.

macaroni art is next.

Roxanna said...

a comment about that Macaroni Art...

"Damon, Carlton, and a piece of PENNE"

as in, Penny Widmore?

Just a thought.

DocArzt mentioned that he pronounces "Ronie" like the ending of 'macaroni' so I don't know if that's significant at this point or not.

Also, Paul said that he was making art that was 34X24 and that equals 816 so I am wondering if that refers to "the 16th Will be found"

MJCarp said...

Roxanna, did you get the impression that the polarbear site was going to be taken down?

Roxanna said...

No, Paul just said that he was going to be experimenting with Macaroni art and that it was an exclusive being talked about only in the podcast. I am not sure if it means anything.

(This is my first time following an ARG so I am sure the people who have done them before are better at this than I am. I'm just putting an idea out there.)
