She ROCKS!

I'm interested to know what happened to the 4 old artists, 4 new artists deal.

John-Paul said...

Love it.

Order #129823

Amy Lynn said...

Really nice print.

thaeagle2003 said...

all the ladies must love this one lol

John-Paul said...

@ tim

I'm starting to suspect a surprise poster after the finale depicting something from the finale, done by one of the original artists.

Zort70 said...

I'm still considering this one, haven't got it yet.

neverapartofit said...

Love it! My girlfriend might try to steal it from me, though, as she loves Tara as well.

Unknown said...

Yin - Yang?

ChrisL said...

Tim. It appears they meant something other than what we thought. Or they lied.

Drama said...

it was " 4 artists you may recognize, and 4 new artists to the campaign" now that's five new to the campaign, either meaning the next two are old friends, or the bumph is a LIE and it could be ANYONE. We shall see. At this rate, I'm wondering if Olly's only contribution will be the shirt.

dylansdad said...

I think this is beautiful, and I'm not going to be mad at Tara McPherson for bumping out one of the original artists--I'll be mad at Jeff Soto.

Will said...

Collaboration on the final print? Maybe something like a Tim Doyle / Tyler Stout thing? Or Tong/Moss?

Amy Lynn said...

@Sarvesh, yup, definitely

Tim said...

Interesting idea to have one after the finale, but we've definitely had 5 new artists now, which is curious. It's still a nice print :)

Anonymous said...

The second must have from the new print series. Got it.

JGZ350 said...

Very nice print, however, for some strange reason, I like Jeff Soto for Jacob and the Man In Black better. Out of the last three to drop, Guy Burwell for The Candidate Cave is the print I can see on my wall.

xDR JON3Sx said...

aaaah, i think its an amazing piece, but i can't decide if i want it or not.

i think my wallet is speaking louder than my desires!
i can't decide yet! (isnt it nice that we can do that this time! )

i wonder how fast these things are moving ? and how long i can REALLY debate this before i decide....

quick professional cart checkers ! how are we doing...

pecca said...

ooh, good call on the ying-yang. even if unintentional, that's a good call-back to the duality of the island. Totally adding this to my collection, and perhaps hanging it vertically, since I like it better when I rotate my laptop 90 degrees.

dylansdad said...

OK, order #129869 here. It took me a few minutes to figure out what I thought about it, but I'm feeling a bit mesmerized the more I look at it.

Scoutpost said...

So Tara is based out of NYC...is that right? that's what her bio says. So they dropped hers at 1:08pm EST like they did DD. hmmm.....if this is the pattern and they stick to it- a Moss should be dropped PST, what about Stout, McCarthy? Of course someone said the first one for NPB was a CST artist and that doesn't fit. Maybe just 1:08 EST and PST

ChrisL said...

Ton/Moss seems likely.

Ray said...

I gave in. Its too beautful. Better to buy it now than regret it later.

129876

Will said...

@ChrisL agreed. And that would be awesome!

Unknown said...

While I think it's a great print, and certainly a serious "moment" for the show, I wasn't going to buy it.

My girlfriend, however, thought differently. She's already ordered it. Which is cool, because that means it'll be up on our walls ANYWAY.

And it's making me contemplate buying the Desmond one so we can have two prints that match and balance each other. Especially since she always adored the Jin/Sun relationship, while I think Penny/Desmond is the greatest love story TV's ever told.

CTKP said...

about 120 sold according to Ray's order number

mistersh0w said...

with all the talk about not wanting to hang skulls up on your wall, there sure is a lot of people rushing to hang dead people up!

A little too morbid for my LOST themed prints taste...

pass.

CTKP said...

I should say ATLEAST

Unknown said...

Good call on hanging it vertically. My new favorite of the 2nd series.

I'll bet there aren't many left.

Clay said...

well the 4 old 4 new artist thing never made sense in the first place since there is actually 12 posters, not 8. so far we've had 2 old artist, and 6 new. im guessing the last 2 will be old artists, bringing the total to 4 old, 6 new.

pass on the Tara. disappointing round of posters so far, but i wasnt impressed with too many from the first round either. surprised you all love Olly Moss so much, his Lost poster was pretty simple, not much "art" involved. here's hoping for a Stout return (doubtful, since he only does 1 style of poster really, and hes already done it) , Eric Tan, or Ken Taylor!

Amy Lynn said...

There are about 380 left

Unknown said...

@mistershow

It's not quite the same. I understand your comment, but it doesn't feel as 'deathly' to me, even though it actually is.

Anonymous said...

A few thoughts from a frequent (OK, more like constant, no pun intended) reader and usual non-commenter:
- I really like this one. Having said that...Totally agree about the blue/green thing. The Barracks is actually one of my favorites just because the house really pops in comparison to all the others, and even that one has a lot of blue and green. One of the few saving graces of The Swan (which I don't have).
- Where did the 4/4 artist idea come from? It's been mentioned a ton but I don't remember the genesis of it or whether it was actually verified.
- The number of people not buying the posters seems really weird to me. If it's a money thing, I totally understand, but I'd feel like the obsessive effort we all put into these reveals would be wasted by not buying. I'm not crazy about all of them (and in general, I'd say these are not nearly as good as the original 16 on the whole), but I've bought them all (except for Hurley and Sawyer Lost Live, don't need three nearly-identical ones) and love that it is actually possible after missing out on some of the original series.
- It's not looking good, but I would really love an I'm With Smokey/MIB to mirror I'm With Jacob. I'm a little ambivalent about that one - it's cool and pretty funny, but does feel a little gimmicky as others have pointed out.

Quinn said...

i dont know why, but i just pulled the trigger, bought it. maybe it was the pressure of the Black Rock print, thinking it would not last. well, looks like i have it!

Unknown said...

Any idea on how quickly these are selling? Not my cup of tea, but may be my GF's, who is at work right now.

ChrisL said...

Still swooning over this.

Justin said...

i like it a lot. The color, composition, quality of the drawing, etc are great. I just don't know if I could personally see this on my wall. still debating though!

Ray said...

@Quinn

I was the same way. Something was just like "are you serious? Just buy it." If you think something looks good and you're on the fence, you should totally go for it. The other ones I passed on I knew right away I didn't want them (not including black rock, obv). But this one I was holding out because of money and then decided that I should just spend the $50 now rather than $200 later when I'll inevitably crave it.

Ray said...

@ChrisL

Haha, best day ever for you?

Anonymous said...

Artistically, I really like this, but It still wouldn't oust what's on my wall already.

Much as I love the style, I don't want two dead people on my wall. Plus Jin looks like he's taking a bite out of Sun.

Its a pass from me I'm afraid.

ChrisL said...

I want Tara's dead people on my wall. She just does something to me.

ChrisL said...

Did I mention that I like this one?

Unknown said...

My GF's order #:
129836

Unknown said...

*Snort* "I want Tara's dead people on my wall".

dylansdad said...

The skull was just a bit morbid. This is romantic and tragic and beautifully done. It's growing on me quickly.

Quinn said...

@Ray - For sure.

I dont have much competition on my wall like everyone else, as i didnt get any of the originals, and have been selective of the new batch. really glad i snagged a Black Rock. Still holding out for Lighthouse, or even "Cork," the metaphor for the island.

On the whole Blue/Green - maybe it has to do with how Darlton has been saying that one of the major things is "water" this season...

Amy Lynn said...

Yeah, wallspace is a problem for me. Currently I have Smokey and Ben Linus on the wall, with a little room for Des.

I have Walt's Kidnapping and the Barracks in rotation.

Weinbeeezy said...

JENSEN BLOCKED ME ON TWITTER!?!?!? if you read this jensen, I will be seeing you tonight at the gallery!

Unknown said...

As to the colors, I agree it'd be nice to see a little difference. Then again, that's why I'm contemplating the Desmond print, as if I'm already going to have Tara's print up, the Desmond print certainly uses the -exact same- color scheme.

Quinn said...

Order #129808 btw

Unknown said...

With each release, that "Cave" print is becoming more and more impressive to me out of this series. The interpretation, the style, delivery, detail...

Unknown said...

Quick note to say that my "Smoke" t-shirt arrived today, going cross-country just 4 days after I bought it. Bravo, Tyson Givens! Now I can wear it for the finale!

andalone said...

Order #129786

Unknown said...

@Larry -- Right there with you. There's something really interesting about it. I'm a little worried that by the time the last two show up, it may be the one I want most, only to then be sold out.

Decisions, decisions...

Ray said...

@weinbeezy

bwahaha! How did you find out?

Unknown said...

Almost exactly 300 left.

Michael Hancock said...

I've been waiting for a new Tara for what seems like ages. Worth it! Sun's dress makes her look like she could be a mermaid, which helps the image to transcend its inspiration even as it's faithful to it. Crushed that S & J were killed off so soon after being reunited.

Will said...

@UP maybe I'm splitting hairs or something, but I think the color schemes in the Jin/Sun and Desmond print are not that similar. I think in person, the Desmond print will look much greener, and the Jin/Sun more blue/pastel.

JGZ350 said...

@Larry
I agree with you on The Candidate Cave. I really like the use of color in that print. Did you pick one up or are you on the fence like me? I wonder how many are left in stock?

pecca said...

Has the shopping cart configuration been changed, so that we aren't able to check remaining stock numbers anymore? Looks like the quantity number is fixed at "1" now...

Alas. Now I don't know how nervous to feel about Penny's Boat.

Unknown said...

There were roughly 100 Candidate Caves in stock as of yesterday evening.

Zort70 said...

I just updated the hearer image for LOSTARGs and put the new print sideways and it still looks good.

Unknown said...

This one was an easy YES!

Awesome print! My favorite of the 2nd round.

Not to mention Tara's prints usually cost $150+.

Unknown said...

It's not as easy to check the quantity, but you just simply add about 250 and you can go in 5-10 increments and keep checking until it says out of stock. I had 300 without the out of stock, then did 305 and got out of stock about 5 minutes ago.

MiddayShadows said...

+1 for me. I really like it. I'm glad that a Tara actually happened(and that I like it so much). It's as evocative as I imagined he poster on this subject could be.

Congrats ChrisL! Really happy for you! Happy B-Day to AliceL too!

Unknown said...

@Will:

You're probably right about that. I shouldn't have said 'exact'. I should have said similar enough to place near each other and have the colors balance in the same fashion the dimensions can be made to balance (even though they are not the exact same, either).

Amy Lynn said...

I like the idea of turning this one sideways. Is that awful? :D

Zort70 said...

..the header...

Scott said...

Order 129915. Picked one up, it's beautiful. There's a couple I've got now that probably won't ever go on my wall but I still really love and this is one of them. I'll be interesting to see what I end up dong with them but it seems like it would be such a shame to miss out on them.

Doesn't look like this one is in danger of selling out too quickly though judging by the numbers.

Anonymous said...

Now I want a print of this exact design but with SAYID and FRANK!!!

:))))

Unknown said...

@Unseen & @JGZ - I did pick one up the day it went out. Wasn't sure at first glance, but the more I look at it...

And I have to believe in person, it's going to be that much more impressive. LOVE the detail. I know some people take issue with not-Locke's left arm. I think in person, the way the Sawyer panel was done comic book style breaking out of the print, and Locke's extended arm offering the choice of a white or black rock, I think it's going to add crazy depth.

Unknown said...

There's about 100 left of the Candidate, based on when it hits the 'out of stock' on the site.

Amy Lynn said...

@taylor, I hear you. For a major character, Sayid has been pretty much ignored in these prints.

JGZ350 said...

@Amy Lynn
I think the print looks better 'sideways'. Looks more like yin-yang sideways.

thaeagle2003 said...

does anyone know when the twilight zone exibit opens

ChrisL said...

LOL @ taylor.

Unknown said...

And people can hang a print however they want to, but I have to say that I think it looks far less interesting when done as Zort did for the header of this site.

Unknown said...

That's it! It's the yin-yang aspect that makes it work for me so much in its 'original' position!

ChrisL said...

Cave and the Tara my faves so far in this run.

Anonymous said...

Maybe even just Ajira 316 Pilot Frank kissing Helicopter Hippie Pilot Frank.

xDR JON3Sx said...

@UnseenPresence yeah i definitely agree, especially after seeing it sidways like that. it definitely plays better sideways like that.

Will said...

I think the candidate cave is going to look amazing in person. Sort of like the Ken Taylor smoke monster print, that just looked kind of muddled on the site but awesome in person.

Rorschach said...

@theeagle
the opening of the Twilight Zone is tonight and runs through June 4th

Unknown said...

@Larry-

I actually really like the fact that it took me a minute to really see what was in Locke's left hand. There's just a lot going on in that print.

Dammit, I may have to suck it up and go ahead and get it AND Desmond AND something good if it shows up at the last 2. Grr. Running out of wall space, and I -still- only have the 1 print from the first 16.

Locke's Secret, oh how I long for you.

xDR JON3Sx said...

@Will tht another reason (aside from really digging burwells stuff!) that i wanted it too, burwell does alot of gold inks and stuff. and i wasn't sure about the smoke monster ken taylor print, then when i had it in my hands. i was amazed by it. it REALLY does pop and changes your view on it when its in person!

Cristina Roswell said...

The Cave one is my fav so far.
Black Rock next
Tara the third

Mark Englert said...

Order # 129909 Tara knocked it out of the park.

Still on the fence with the Burwell... LOVE the artist, LOVE the content, just can't convince myself I like the print, argh!

Will said...

@roswell My rankings are the same, but I missed out on the Black Rock :(

Unknown said...

I'm hoping to snag the Black Rock when he puts up the extras on his site.

Mark Englert said...

I think I'll wind up hanging it with them "upside down"

ChrisL said...

UP expect to pay 250!

Weinbeeezy said...

@Ray I tried seeing his tweets and they're blocked... I was following him before... Guess he didn't like my constructive criticism of this last art run

Unknown said...

Hehehehehe.

So I put the Candidate Cave in my cart, then decided to call my GF and figure out which prints she wanted...

...only to have her tell me NOT to buy the Candidate print because she already had and was going to surprise me with it but realized I was about to buy it.

So apparently great minds think alike. :)

Unknown said...

@UP - well done! I really think you'll be happy with it. I likened it to Ken Taylor's print when it first came out as well. The .jpg - meh - but in person, that thing was killer. Congrats!

Amy Lynn said...

Totally agreed about the Ken Taylor. Looks AMAZING in person. Better than Locke's Secret, actually.

Renee said...

#129948 just now

Unknown said...

After considerable debate, I think I'm going to pass on this one too. Really hoping for a Tan in one of the last two, just really loved his style and missed out on the Crash. Speaking of - I have a Black Rock coming if anyone has a Crash they'd like to trade :) Prolly not, I know...

Martyn said...

YAY! Fantastic, if not mildly confusing as to 5 new artists, news! I can imagine ChrisL is over the moon with this one.

I like this one, it's a very beautiful print. As Sarvesh mentioned, the Ying Yang makes the composition even more peaceful and serene. I quite honestly love. Really hope my girlfriend does too so she'll buy it for herself. Would love to see this one in person!

Ray said...

Well, till tomorrow! I'm thinking that if there is a Moss, it won't be until the last one - but who knows. They also said 4 new artists and we got 5. All bets are off!

Predictions:

Moss and a Tan. But I could also see a McCarthy Lighthouse. And I like that idea of a Tong/Moss piece.

Only 2 more days of this :(

ChrisL said...

Martyn... you don't have to imagine... look into the sky tonight and you'll see me dancing like Ben over the moon!

Lisa-Maladylis said...

Tara did a fantastic job ! People are the hardest of all the draw and have them come out right and not looking monsterish. That said, I don't hang people on my walls unless they are photos- too creepy and dead people are over the top for me lol But absolutely stunning ! And boy was it hot out there in the field watching the special Olympics ! But he is happy, has his fist full of ribbons and got a blue for running like the wind lol

I've been busy at work today, so haven't had a chance to post today yet. I got the Tara print... and I really love it! Sun/Jin... Yin/Yang... and I really love Tara's style!

I hope you all don't mind, but I wanted to post something that my wife sent me. She wrote a poem, just for AliceL on her birthday! I thought that you all might enjoy it too... I hope you don't mind. Oh... and if you haven't seen this week's episode yet... there's a spoiler in the poem, so consider yourself warned... :-)

Happy Birthday, AliceL... from Patmc and Lauramc!

For AliceL across the pond
Or is that "Across the Sea"
We share a love for LOST
Whose end is soon to be

How blessed are you
With a birthday so near
The final show in this epic
That we hold so dear

With both warmth and sadness we watch
Waiting for the end
Feeling anticipation
For all those we now call 'friend'

Hurley and Jack
Sawyer and Kate
Sun and Jin
That met an untimely fate

Arzt and Ilana
Taken out by explosive
Ben and FLocke
Who can both be so corrosive

Michael and Ana Lucia and
Nikki and Paolo whom we loved to hate
Desmond and Penny
Whom we wanted to emulate

Vincent the Dog
Who we all want to see
Rose and Bernard
Whose love was meant to be

The final island battle is soon to come
For Jacob and the Man in Black
Their fight for the island's fate
Will now be fought by FLocke and Jack

To all our friends we hold so dear
Even those that I have not mentioned here

Will all be in my heart
And I'm sure yours as well
So to all of them I send
A fond farewell

Happy Birthday AliceL
I hope you do find
All the answers to LOST
Swirling about in your mind

If you all haven't read that Guy Burwell interview, give it a few minutes. What a character!

@Larry...

Just read it. What a guy. Best bit is about his "favourite" character. So true!

Unknown said...

@Martyn

Right? I loved the muffin analogy too. Off the wall, but made complete sense. Gives some understanding to the print as well, from an artist personality perspective. Good stuff!

Unknown said...

I'm starting to feel a little bit of buyer's remorse with this one. Does anyone know their return policy?

Unknown said...

Any idea of how many of these prints are left? Won't know if the lady friend will want one until later tonight, and may not want to risk it...

Unknown said...

Evan -

The site says no returns, refunds or exchanges, but I believe the email confirmation receipt says 30 days.

Anonymous said...

@Larry
@Martyn

Glad you enjoyed it!

Now...does anyone have an extra DD Black Rock for a fellow Lostie? :-(

Amy Lynn said...

@Ray, thanks for the link. Some GREAT stuff there. Sadly, all too expensive for my wallet.

I am appalled by the lack of art from "Monsters on Maple Street" and "A Stop at Willoughby". Those two I might have brought out the charge card for.

Anonymous said...

Feel like I've been discovering cool Lost stuff just in time for the show to end lol. I really love this poster from Tara. I also love this band 'Previously On Lost' They recap episodes in their music and have a show in Brooklyn for the finale. Has any one else heard of them?
http://www.itsasickness.com/lounge/adam-and-jeff-are-obsessed-lost
Seems like those on this blog would also dig them or have seen them. Anyway really gonna miss the show but I look forward checking this blog for rad art that will come from it's end.

Unknown said...

about half gone. 250 or so left.

Unknown said...

@Larry, yeah I was confused by that. I'm thinking about just calling tomorrow and checking. This was a compulsive purchase and I'm starting to regret it.

MiddayShadows said...

Guy Burwell interview was great. This cracked me up:

"LOSTblog: Kate or Juliet?

Guy Burwell: Neither, thank you. One is so obviously a vampire and the other seems like such a giant hassle."

Also, I think Guy and MEL are kindred spirits.

Martyn said...

@Larry...

The muffin analogy was spot on! Described it perfectly, lol.

Also like his version of how it all ends. If we are supposed to believe the tunnel of light, I see no reason why that couldn't happen?

Just remembered that Nikki was put as a Candidate in his poster too and remember saying the guy sounds awesome. The interview confirms it, I want to meet this guy! Also, I'm definitely going to buy that poster now.

Excuse me a second...

My youngest shares his birthday with Alice. Larkin turned 5 today. He's not a LOST fan yet, but probably a few years down the road.

Amy Lynn said...

Happy Birthday, Larkin! Cool name.

Martyn said...

@Middayshaddows...

I totally started to convince myself that Guy Burwell WAS MEL, lol. Very similar ideas on art.

Unknown said...

Nikki as a candidate is the only thing I don't like about the print - just don't get it. Such a small role in the show, seems like there were much better choices available. Am I missing something there?

Martyn said...

I'm guessing it was just a joke. A very sarcastic joke. Love it.

I'm more amazed the Nikki was a Candidate at all, tbh!

Will said...

As terrible a character as Nikki was, she did fit the selection criteria for a candidate. *shrugs* I guess just about everyone does.

Joey said...

Amy- I saved the pic on my computer and rotated it, it looks great in all 4 orientations!

Joey said...

Order #129990

Unknown said...

Someday, the episode "Expose" will be understood by everyone to be what I have always said it is--one of the top 10 episodes of Lost.

Nikki would have been an excellent candidate.

That being said, having read Burwell's interview, now I'm REALLY glad that my GF got the print. Because I suspect there's more there than we can see in the jpeg.

Unknown said...

Oh, and for all you people who are losing your love for Moss' print thanks to the new stuff...be glad to take one off your hands (wink, wink).

Amy Lynn said...

I think Expose is an okay episode. Along the lines of Dave, to me.

Would've been better if we'd cared even a little about the characters, one way or the other.

Joey said...

Expose is def one of my favorite episodes of LOST

Amy Lynn said...

I tend to like Adam/Eddie written episodes more than others, so that's my partial bias.

Born to Run, Dave, Three Minutes, Ji Yeon, Something Nice Back Home, Everybody Hates Hugo, Greatest Hits, This Place is Death, He's Our You, The Variable, Dr. Linus, Everybody Loves Hugo, What They Died For.... all super episodes.

dylansdad said...

I just picked up the "Kirk" Twilight Zone giclee from Gallery1988 as a birthday gift for my step-dad. Now it's time to stop spending money for the rest of the day.

Martyn said...

Same here, definitely in my Top 10. Mainly because I wasn't expecting it at all, I was actually looking forward to them making them an import piece to the puzzle. And the way they died too, ouch! I thought being buried alive in a coffin was bad!

So yeah, love Expose!

@Evan, if this print sells out, you may want to hold on to your copy to trade for a later one you miss out on. If there's a 30-day return window, it can't hurt to let the rest of the posters drop before you make a decision. Then again, it seems nothing since the Black Rock has sold out.

didn't this happen with the first posters? they didn't sell out fast... yet, look at prices now.

@ buyer's remorse up there... look at the inks on this poster:
http://twitpic.com/1pgxr6

It is also Tara McPherson, if you haven't seen one of her posters in the flesh you just don't know what you are missing out...

also, i am pretty sure they don't accept returns... just stop thinking about it; i am positive you will at least make your $ back if you end up not liking it (and reselling it)... my two cents.

Will said...

@Jesus that's true. The first few posters did take a while to sell out. Some took a couple months, although I'm pretty sure The Crash sold out in single digit hours.

Expose is one of my very favourite episodes of the Twilight Zone. :)

As an episode of LOST, I'd say it's very very good, perhaps in my top ten, but doesn't win out over the best episodes that feature the characters we really care about.

Cool about the metallics on the Tara poster!

That makes me hope all the more for metallics on the Burwell poster. Not for gimmicky reasons, but because he has used them to fantastic effect on previous posters.

out of all the lost posters on this series, the soto, mcpherson, and burwell have the most pretty colors; these artists tend to use metallic inks and other fun stuff like that (usually-not always).

the others, the Danger, well his illustrations are always top notch, not so much his selection of inks, sometimes they are too dark (his images at times are lost in between the black inks he uses, this adds to "dark" feeling of his prints - so it suits him).

the rest on this series, sorry, i haven't been able to see their work (artists) live.

eager to find out which two will be next...

So I was checking my online bank account and noticed the Black Rock fell off my transactions!!!! Checked the site, still looks like mine is in "Preorder" status...

Anyone else having this issue? Am I jut forgetting what happens just before they charge you for the amount??

Kyle Scribner said...

Got my Ben 'Trust Me' shirt today. Only ordered it like 5 days ago. (I'm in New Hampshire). It's awesome. Tag is cut off for some reason, and official 'Dharma' seal on back has a misspelled 'Initiative' (they left out one of the i's. I think I'll wear it once and frame it.

John W said...

@mistersh0w - my gf had the same thing happen, but called to customer support and they confirmed the preorder status

@ mistersh0w

i have ordered 6 posters and they are all preorder status so.... you made me nervous now lol

John W said...

the way she explained it, preorder means a confirmed order but they can't ship yet because they're waiting to get the rest of the copies of the prints from the artist (or whomever currently has them)

Drama said...

yup - said this a few days ago. They expected this to be the case, as well - hence the 6-8 weeks wait time that it says at the bottom. Some lucky schlubs get their early. I have to wait.

In other news, I have stopped dancing and am off to bed. Goodnight all!

mistersh0w said...

@Ben has anyone gotten any of the prints yet though? Other than the LOST Live and I'm With Jacob prints?

Also, thought I'd add, the guy helping Jensen out at the LOST Live event DCAAPB booth noted that I was the first person to correctly call them "prints" all night!

FOR SHAME on calling them posters!

I think just saw you jump over the moon!!!

And then a plate and a spoon ran down the street, hand in hand!

You must of been really happy with the Tara print! ;)

Joe Stas said...

I like this print and was happy to buy it - not sure I'd put it on my wall though.

Also, the more I look at it, the more I like the Candidate Cave print.. Wish I still ahted it though as I don't wanna spend anymore money!

Martyn said...

This time next month, if people don't want this print still, I'll gladly take it off your hands. It's beautiful.

@mistershow...

Now you got me thinking do I call them prints or posters? :s I think I've been calling them prints. I did in the last comment b4 I saw yours so I must of been. Hmmm.

Kyle Scribner said...

anyone else get a Ben shirt? i'm itching for some Ben shirt love. anyone?
btw, anyone wondering about how the shirts size, i got large, and it seems like a typical Large, a bit roomy on me.

MiddayShadows said...

Both terms are fine. A "poster" is the general term for anything that can be hung up on a wall. "Print" is a little more specific in that it refers directly to the silkscreen printing process.

So you didn't pick one of these up Martyn? Are you tempted?

mistersh0w said...

@Kyle - I got the Ben shirt at the LOST Live event! I love it... Got a lot of compliments on it so far... I've only worn it once, and I got an XL, I prefer 2X, not into the snugness of the XL so much, but alas they don't come in 2x...

still confused about the Elvis Costello reference... Also, not even sure it's a still of Ben from LOST, could just be a general photo of Michael Emmerson...

Kyle Scribner said...

thanks mistershow! funner sharing with a fellow geek. that's cool that you went to the live show, that must've been something. i'll have to go back thru the comments and catch up on the experience.

mistersh0w said...

@Kyle - The show was amazing! Hearing the music live, and watching "What They Died For" with some of the cast present was truly an amazing experience. Not to mention seeing it with so many fans!!!

I'm a guy, but not a burwell..but any body who can come up with " muffinations"..is all right by me. And thanks to whom all for the Tara link..The metalics sure make the gamble of the quick buy on this one pay off.

And this wall space business..uuhh..I've a;ready rotated a few of the original 16 off the wall space for others..Hey you get tired of one, take it down, put another one up. There is no wall space problem for these muffinations.

And speakin of muffinations..this print has quite the pair..our star crossed lovers..in the Yin Yang..possibly at the moment of..disengagement?..at the moment of death?...Some where in the future,,its turn on a wall awaits. I am not enslaved.

So..here we go...off to the theater tonite,,L.A tomorrow and further exploratory of the unknown LOST Finale Adventure awaiting. Into the Bright Beautiful Light I go

I said 'pass' on this print but after seeing those pics in detail earlier... well, lets just say that if tomorrow's print isn't a buy, I'll be picking up this one if it's still in stock (fingers crossed).

mungonna said...

btw..the South Korean Flag has the b/w Yin Yang at the center of it..so it flows thru the levels. I'm not sure I needed to say that. I'm looking at The END here!! I have to say something cuz I Can't LET GO!!

Hi all-crazy day today getting ready to fly to LA from NH-I am posting now from the plane.

I saw the Sun & Jin in the middle of packing when it went up at 1- and I do like it -except for the detail of the mouths. For some reason they stood out to me right away and just seemed awkward. IS that just me?

But-Happy Birthday Alice L! Nice poem Mrs P. And I realized that there are no more new episodes to discuss now before the end-that's sobering!

Looking forward to seeing many of you in LA-tomorrow I will look for a poster at 10 am for the first time in the new time zone.

Ray said...

Hope everyone headed to LA has a great time! Just set your comments to email so you'll know when the new print drops from us crazies staying at home.

Just Thinking said...

AL- what kind of an "Oh" was that? A "there goes my crazy Aunt again oh?" Kind of like my kids' "there goes my crazy Mom again".

i'm LOST said...

Okay-so Justin has officially posted my clue at:
DAMON, CARLTON, AND ME
Anyone who finds my piece, let me know what you think of it!

Will need a week to unwind after this one. It is LOST overload. Went to Times Talks Live tonight - fun, informative & some slight spoilers. Nothing beats seeing scenes from LOST on the BIG screen.

From a earlier post - my Jack (Lost Live) poster arrived today. Will admit that it's better packaging this time. Larger tube. Much easier to open (or it could be past practice). QUICK delivery on part of GoMerch.

Passed on Tara's print today. Talented & captures a pivotal scene, but no room on the island. :(

Thinking that we may possibly see a combo poster from 2 of the artists we've seen reflecting the use of mirrors this season. Flash Sideways on left and regular timeline on right. Only time will tell.

Night All!

Just Thinking said...

Oh -yes-postman brought Jack to the door-and I ran to flatten in in a acid free drawing pad before running back to packing. It's going to go together with the Van, Hatch and Black Rock- a sea of blues and greens-it will make working in the room much pleasanter.

I just came back from LOST Times Talks Live tonight - agree with JPL's take :fun & informative. theatre was almost sold out.I had been wondering just how many other people would pay movie ticket prices for a Darlton Q&A - the answer is : a lot, apparently. Jorge Garcia and Michael Emerson showed up. Plenty of insightful banter ensued. They showed about a minute long clip from the finale that Damon said they chose specifically because it wasn't spoilery. I wont say any more :) . And again true JPL, seeing scenes from LOST on the BIG screen was really impactful! They showed the phone call from the Constant - and wow. Funny moment: during the audience portion of the Q&A a person asking a question was wearing an Olly 'Not Penny's Boat' shirt. A lot of people in the audience chuckled at it (in an appreciative way I think), as they probably hadnt seen it before. The people around me were all "such a cool shirt..!"

Justin said...

Picked this and Not Penny's Boat up today. Anyone have any current estimated totals for the posters? Hoping for a
lighthouse or Black Rock smashing Tawret print tomorrow.

dylansdad said...

You're hoping for a second Black Rock print? That seems unlikely.

Amy Lynn said...

@JT, it was just an "of course you are" Oh. LOL

Just Thinking said...

AL-close up magic again on the plane lol)

Amy Lynn said...

@JT, these people are not good. Come to NYC, I will show you some good close up magic.

Just Thinking said...

Dave makes it fun though-must take a lot of skill and practice-do you feel like you are in "the writers room" -does your husband practice at home?

Amy Lynn said...

Yes, he and his friends practice all the time at our place. ;)
