Test 2: Broad Spectrum Knowledge Analysis 268

*UPDATE: Hans Van Eegen is sending out e-mails asking Dharma recruits to go take Test 2. You can view the e-mail HERE. There seems to be a message in the source code hinting at the "cheat" (*Thanks Codysmom for pointing that out in comments.) or just showing someone's displeasure with Dharma. Could this be from RuckusGuy? Is he the one giving us these cheats?

Head over to Dharma Wants You and take Test 2. You may take the test as many times as you like, but only your first score will be counted. You will not be told your results upon completion, and there is a cheat this time as well.

We are being put into three groups this time around: Steropes, Brontes, or Polyphemus, which are all names of cyclops.

Click here to read more about the Test 2 cheat.

Yeah....

It's pretty boring around here....

That sounds like a good idea Scoutpost, I had the same thought! But just keep in mind that maybe they might not be active after a while if Hoodlum thinks that everyone who's going to take them has. :-o

zzzzz......
It would be nice if we got some more crazy video from ruckusguy. Even some additional communication in the source of the emails that led somewhere would be good. I'm still crossing my fingers that we'll hear from someone besides Hans and the DI soon! The tests, cheats, and groups are interesting for an hour or two, but then it's just back to waiting. *yawn*

We need more Slovaltine!! Thanks again you guys, those puzzles were great :)

FYI: Jesse Heiman is posting all the time on his Facebook page how busy he's been filming and working on other projects (Chuck, Pushing Daisies, etc.) Either he pre-filmed stuff for DWY or he's down with Dan Bronson.

Lisa-Maladylis said...

I think it was probably a one time gig that he's done with. I'm sure he is having fun playing with us Losties posting to us now and then on his blog, but I bet that's all there was for him with this part of the ARG

maven said...

FYI: EW has LOST as the Top Pick on a list of 12!

And that was supposed to be "done" with Dan Bronson (above).

Ditto on the Zs. Right Eris, even just some kooky vids stuck in somewhere once in a while to feed our paranoia would at least keep our interest. It would be interesting to know what Darlton thinks about all this, if one was a fly on their livingroom wall.

Oh well, at least we have the TLC-ARG blog. :-)

Okay it's late and I'm sleepy so I just copied and pasted this from ITE.
I was reading on another forum about the title of test 2 the I c cheat and the letters in the latest source code.
Could it come out to be BASIC?
Can you use BASIC or VISUAL BASIC to hack or find something on DWY?

Anonymous said...

So the title of 2nd test was Broad Spectrum Knowledge Analysis. (I underlined = C when you use the cheat.)
BSKAI or BSAIC = BASIC

Lisa-Maladylis said...

Edoardo, that's where the cheat was where you push the i key The answer was 'c'

Just a little time waster for today...

I noticed that the top name on the Leaderboard is Lucas 4 815. Nothing interesting there.

But...if you have some time and like such things, check out the concept of "Lucas Numbers". These are just interesting numbers-series theory, and likely have nothing to do with Lost or the ARG.

But if you believe some of the fun of all of this is learning more about esoteric concepts, this is certainly a candidate.

Enjoy!

You know I've been thinking....we should patent this ARG as the world's best sleeping pill!No side effects, stomach problems, a little addictive but compared to whats out there. The prescription would be something like:
Take once in the evening before going to sleep.
Dossage: 10 mins F5 the DWY page
Its fullproof!

ANM ;P

@Codysmom welcome back!

Well, this is just sad... we have a new ARG going on and only 11 new posts today (well, 12 after I post this).

From ODI's myspace....

"We just got an update that LOST could be moving back to Wed. Nights with the premiere on Feb 4th 2009.

Nothing official yet, but at least something."

Interesting! I, for one, would love to see Lost return to Wed. nites... I wonder what time? My favorite time is 9pm...

Capcom said...

For some reason, I sometimes still panic late Wednesday nights thinking that I have missed Lost. :-o It just seems like Lost Night to me.

TakesaVillage said...

Wed. is best for me, 9PM would be fine.
Codysmom,glad you're back.
Anm, Very nice my space;great music selections.Ben is one of my favorite actors.
The rest of us are waiting,waiting,waiting...
Out damn clots!

Tess315 said...

We should get something new after midnight tonight shouldn't we? Or is it after midnight tomorrow night?
If Lost goes back to Wednesdays I hope it's at 9:00 also. There's nothing I'm interested in on Wednesdays this year so anytime would be ok, but if it's 10:00 I'll have to prop my eyelids open to talk about it here.

Anonymous said...

@Everyone, well it doesnt really matter to me what day it ait¡rs on the US since I watch Lost first on the internet, then when they air it in Spain and then when I buy the DVD collection (only show I own complete other than House).
Glad you guys enjoyed my myspace..tried to make it a little entertaining ;P
And here we are, still waiting......

Hi, everybody! I was over at darkufo reading about how unusual it was that Hawaii was listed as a country for someone on the leaderboard. So, I went to my profile and looked at the list of countries. There are a lot of islands listed. Some are pretty obscure. Could this be something? I haven't a clue what it could be but it sure makes me go "hmmmm."

Black Swan said...

thanks, takes a village!

ANM, glad to see you found the battleship game on BBWY (and thanks for letting me use the led banner idea). BTW, sorry that when I comment on your myspace, it goes so wide. Usually it will wrap into a smaller paragraph. Do you have a different setting?

Hi barbarajay! Yes, I saw that at Dark's too. I changed my profile to United States of America instead of just US. It's weird there are two choices for that. Good call on the fact there are many Islands!

Black Swan said...

sayid'sgirl, I'm confused about when to expect something new at DDWY, too... could it be a sign that I'm losing interest or is it just senility :O ?

Black Swan said...

capcom, I agree Wed. still seems like LOST night!!!

Well I just added three games ont my "MOVIES" section over at myspace. Feel free to paly while you wait and let me know which is your fav as I will eventually leave one permanent game and add a 2nd one ever so often. Enjoy!

Seriously your page is looking better every day.

sayid'sgirl, lol, yeah I was thinking I should get rid of the music or change it! Can't seem to get rid of the bomb noises, so.....

Sayid's Girl - Well, it's taking longer than 40 seconds to update.

Didn;t ANM say this game would be a great sleep adi? DWY - the gentle blue pill that helps you sleep more soundly.

Sleep aid...not sleep adi. Sorry

Tess315 said...

eugene
Maybe that's a good sign.
Hope so.

Eugene said...

Yes. I hope so too. People everywhere seem so disappointed. I have been too busy lately to let it really bother me. But I can see why so many are frustrated.

Tess315 said...

I'm not really disappointed. I wish it would move a little more quickly. But if doesn't it doesn't. And like you said I can understand why others who were looking forward to this and expecting more would be frustrated.

Anonymous said...

@Everyone LOL you can really feel the anticipation building up uh? Here we all are once again waiting (eagerly) for an update that Must come soon. I whish it would before I go off to Zz land but Im not overly optimistic ;D
@Codysmom, I totally agree hehe. The puppet game was a neat discovery...Im really gratefull for all the amazing myspace code writers/source webs etc, dont know what I would have done without them..(well obviously nothing on my page, cant write code for my life...and since a significant amount of hours would have not been occupied...probably jumped off a window!)
@Eugene...yeah, there's big bucks in the little blue pill...oh yesss ;P
