Octagon Global Recruiting email for the DharmaWantsYou.com recruiting website from the Dharma Initiative, part of the new LOST ARGAnyone attending Comic-con should enter in the drawing to secure one of 10 "pre-release appointments". You must be registered with OGR to enter, but you don't need the email to sign up, just go to http://www.octagonglobalrecruiting.com/site/register_attendance.php?register= and put your email after the = in the address bar. Good luck! BTW, even if you are not going to Comic-con, I would encourage you to sign up, and if you win we can pass the invitation along to one of our own.

Once again, there is a little something extra hidden in the source code of the email - this time a message from someone named RuckusGuy.
<!--
…If you’re reading this, wanna hear something cool?
I’ve got intel about his little “recruitment drive.”
They’re doing some kind’ve personality/IQ testing or something down in SD for ComicCon.
Buddy of mine works down there and has the approvals for their “booth,” he says once you go in no one knows what happens inside and you need an appointment to get in. He also said to make sure you’ve got your Bluetooth on and visible – he’s rigged up a little something.
-->

<!--
The whole thing sounds like elitist B.S., doesn’t it?
Well, I’m getting in that booth and taking the test.
As many times as I have to before I “pass” (whatever that means?)
And then…
If I can?
I’m gonna tape it so EVERYONE can see what these idiots are up to.
Should be fun, right?
See ya in SD. RuckusGuy OUT.
-->
It looks likes trouble is already brewing for Mr. Van Eeghen.

* Thanks to Ange for emailing me about this!

It seems like on this page there are some random dots to the upper left of the image text “Dharma Wants You”. Maybe an image coming soon, but I do see them and it seems weird.

Also, this RuckusGuy stuff in the source code looks super-duper (and also screams Rachel Blake anti-hero). I hope someone hears or receives whatever message he has for us on their Bluetooth.

I did anagram RuckusGuy and got only 4 hits:
Ruckus Guy
Yucks Guru
Yuck Gurus
Yuck Rug Us

Maybe DHARMA=Yuck Gurus :D.

Maybe it's sucky guru!

I emailed Hans VE again and still got the out of town return email.

Capcom said...

LOL Eugene!

Well here we go again, who is the good guy...Ruckus or Hans. :-)

Wow, how did you see those dots Ange?! I didn't see them until I enlarged the window to 150% (after I read about them here that is). Interesting random dots tho.

Ange said...

Yeah Eugene I like yours better, and Capcom, I think I might just have bionic eyeballs today. Either that or the anti-histamine drops I put in earlier are REALLY good!

Dots remind me a little of a constellation though.

Okay, now I'm just getting Dharma Wants You (in typewriter font)on the top of the page, and there's no "Coming Soon". Is it just me?

maven said...

On second look, it just says

Dharma wants you

Each word is not capped and no punctuation.

Eugene said...

Dharmawantsyou site now seems to have more dots than yesterday. Myabe they are adding more until a picture forms. Oh, and "Coming Soon" is back.

Capcom said...

OK, at 200% screen, I counted 16 dots at 2pm EST. Let's see if it changes again.

Wow, that was too much like work, I used to have to count dots like that on a bitmap to find fails on semiconductors......nevermind. :-)

memphish said...

Are those dots braille? It reminds me of the braille puzzle from Find815.

Capcom said...

Hard to say Memphish. It mostly just looks like a random bunch of equally spaced pairs, and then some singles. It's not the Big Dipper either. :o) Maybe we'll get more and then it will start to look like actual braille lined up.

maven said...

My screen's so dirty, I can't tell what's a "dot" and what's a "smudge"! LOL

Capcom said...

Sunday dot alert! There are now 24 dots, and they are *almost* in an identical pattern on both sides (if you divide it in half). Hmmmmm. So far, none of them are "clickable" still.

Capcom said...

P.S. It's kind of beginning to look like a B-2 bomber. Or maybe just a Rorschach test. :o) Is this a part of the psych-test maybe?

maven said...

Over at DarkUFO's OGR everyone is saying the dots will be the Dharma logo.

Capcom said...

Right, but which DHARMA logo? Just D-H-A-R-M-A? Or the bagua?

Capcom said...

Ah-ha, I read that last night, and now today I see the graphic that they have put up. Thanks Maven! :-)

I had emailed Dennis about some postings by "RuckusGuy" yesterday at Dark's:

Whether or not that's 'in game', has yet to be determined.

Don't know if this poster is IG or not, but Dark's site has had clues dropped in before.

*Let's try that again with a link that works...

I know a lot of you read Jorge Garcia's blog. Today he had a picturue from London of a dry cleaner with a Dharma logo on it. You can see it here. It is not a currently recognized Dharma logo according to what's in Lostpedia.

It's probably nothing more than a Lost fan dry cleaner, but with this possible ARG looming, and Jorge's willingness to participate in the Comic-Con panel/glyph hunt last time, I wonder...

maven said...

Ange: I think you're right to wonder about that Dharma logo. It sort of looks out of place on that picture. It looks stuck on...covering up the dots on the sign.

What with the Dharma site using dots to fill in the logo...I'm very suspicious! LOL

Capcom said...

LOL, that's what I thought too when I saw it today. I thought, OK, Asian dry cleaners with a (good luck) bagua mirror on the (red for good luck) front sign, very common, nothing questionable here. But then the name wasn't Asian....it's Mergury or Mercury, something like that.

BTW, just got back from seeing Dark Knight...it's incredible.

I've been away all weekend and the email was sent 30 mins after I left work on Friday, so I only saw it today. Ah well it looks like things are warming up.

Who is going to sign up for the pre release appointments at ComicCon ?

I'm going to have to call shenanigans. Anyone can change their profile name to RuckusGuy. See ^^^

I signed up, but I definitively can't go. So on the very small chance that I do "win" a spot, I'd want to give it to someone from here. Is anyone going to Comic-con? Maven?

(BTW, this is Dennis...)

I clicked the link right away to look at the signup website only, but was surprised to see that it signs you up automatically upon clicking. I hope that they don't send me one, if they really are limited. :-o
